M&T Bank Fountain Plz, Buffalo

This location is awesome. The former buffalo savings bank. True arcitectual gem. The stone work is breath taking. The ceiling high with beautiful paintings. Gold dome roof. Collection of cast iron banks inside that would cost a fortune and impossible to find. I highly recommend you visit. Not to mention it's a fully functional bank. Outside of building is beautiful aswell.

Customer service is terrible. I spoke with a woman who said her name was Darlene and she was rude and refused to address my question. She kept saying no one at the bank would know what I was talking about meanwhile she did not even attempt to ask anyone else. She kept trying to push me back to customer service even when I told her I previously spoke to them and they told me to call my local branch and they would be able to handle it. Never using that branch again, and highly considering switching banks altogether.

M&T's PPP portal was seamless and very easy to use. I want to thank all of the M&T employees who worked so hard to get their portal set up for small businesses like Cosmic Fitness, LLC. And I want to thank in advance all of the M&T employees who now will need to work long hours to process the loan applications for our small businesses.

They will scam you with hidden service fees, with both your savings and checking accounts. They refuse to reverse fees as well. You can find a much better bank who actually values your business and offers actual customer service.

Customer Service can (CAN)-(is a small word all I'm going to say is everyone is different) Also NOTE - not ever call about a check not received, is a " CUSTOMER " (without customers , there is no bank , no bank = no job!) - Back to missing payments...., your system stinks... It takes close to a Month for a payment to be mailed received and processed apparently.. But, I don't dare to send it that far in advance.... But, I'm within 6 hours drive , of this Bank , that my Auto Loan. I guess maybe I should start blocking off 1 day per month to drive out and make. BUT SHOULD I REALLY NEED TO DO THAT AS A CUSTOMER???

Very unsatisfied with you mortgage application process. I applied for a mortgage pre-qualification and was approved. My loan officer seemed very knowledgeable and friendly at the time and I was happy, but that didn't last long. I was enticed into using M&T on the claim that I qualified for down payment assistance, but not until after I started my loan application (and paid for the loan origination and credit application) was I informed that the program had closed and that I couldn't receive said money, but live moves on...Until my loan officer and underwriter took a vacation during my loan underwriting delaying the process multiple weeks. A week before my predicted close, with my loan officer telling me everything was fine, my loan was going to get approved and they would schedule my home assessment ASAP. With my close day come and past, the selling agent is contacting everyone asking what is going on, and I have no answers because I was under the assumption everything was fine. It was not. No one contacted me to let me know I in fact was not getting a loan, I had not been approved and the assessment had not been scheduled, thus loosing my opportunity for a house and now out hundreds in the process. This frustration isn't coming from the fact that I didn't get approved, but that I was strung along for 2 months thinking and being told that everything was fine, when it wasn't. I will not be going with M&T when I attempt to buy my next house, and I certainly will not advise anyone to go with them with their home buying process.

Time to switch banks.. M & T takes advantage of every oppoprtunity they get to hit you with a $38.50 over draft fee. What good is online banking when your bank constantly changes debits and credits to their favor ? Good luck trying to manage your money here.. STAY AWAY. If too late, look into a class action lawsuit for the above mentioned BS...

Did you know there is a movie that has that bank in it?? It's called Henry's Crime! With Keanu Reeves. Check it out! Bank itself is beautiful! And customer service is supperb.

Local branch is fine, but 800# customer service is either lazy, incompetent or both...or perhaps they just don't care?
