M&T Bank Belair Rd, Baltimore

I am very disappointed with this branch and my experience. Last year, my dad became terminally ill and had trouble with mobility. He began to sign his checks over to me and I did mobile deposits into my account at this bank. The first check was cleared and withdrawn. No issues.. Deposited his second check, it cleared and money available no issue; until I went to this location for a withdrawal. The teller, an older woman, said that "this is alot of money for you to have" not sure why a couple thousand dollars was alot for ME to have but ok. Then she told me that i had to bring the person in with there ID. She refused to give me my withdrawl. She talked to me like I was doing something wrong or illegal after I explained that this had been done before, the endorser of the check approved and has a signed document with my name to cash checks... I contacted the manager and she was pleasant BUT I still had to bring my dying dad , who could barely walk to the bank in the middle of a pandemic with his ID to satisfy the teller curiosity to know where/who my money came from.....2 weeks later deposited his check again, went to a different branch, NO ISSUES. No empathy for customers.

I’ve never had an issue with any bank except M&T after leaving this location. The customer service is absolutely horrible at this location. After the teller Vanessa “claimed” my deposit was “short” I requested to speak to a manager. She said she was the manager so I requested to speak with the branch manager Jen. There was an audit done and Jen claimed there wasn’t any overages. I left a credit Union atm, counted my money, and went three miles down the road to make a deposit on that day. Jen suggested to call the credit Union for an audit and I refused after I counted my money from that atm and it was correct. Although it was a small amount that was said to be “short” it’s the integrity of the bank that is now in question. Let this be a lesson to either use the atm or close your accounts with M&T or simply not use this location.

Love the workers there Been going to this branch for over 20 years

Two tellers inside went to the back and left a line waiting for service. No other tellers at the inside. They did not return for quite a while. They left the drive through teller to deal with the inside customers and a line at the drive through. Horrible customer service.

This is the worst location I have ever visited. I only came in for an ACH form and I've been sitting here for almost 45 mins and still no service.. RIDICULOUS

I don't normally leave negative reviews, but I feel others should be warned about the service at this bank. The bank manager in particular. I have closed all of my accounts with this bank and will never be back. The fees are astronomical, and the bank manager neglected to disclose all available options to close my account and go our separate ways. Instead, I was charged more fees. Buyer, be warned.

Shiny new ATM in the drive thru doesn’t even take cash. What a joke.

I've not been very pleased with the service. There's nothing to recommend them. Just a bank and all that comes with it. I'd have given the 3 stars if it were easier to meet with them.

Iv hade way to many issues with this bank and this location m&t bank it is a terrible bank dont put your money or trust in this company

Horrible customer service...the lady i spoke to few minutes ago literally hung up on me.........
