Liberty Tax S Horner Blvd, Sanford

I went there with an appointment with Vinny Basitha the owner. I get there and he’s not there. I learned he sold Liberty Tax the week before and didn’t let me know. I knew I should’ve left but I didn’t. A Vietnamese Lady (can’t remember her name because I’m still upset) did mine. They were going to charge me $600 but the manager came around and said let’s give a discount and charge $200. Mind you Vinny promised me and I have text messages because he has done my taxes for over 10 years of $99. They wouldn’t honor that. This lady was the worst. She said I would have to pay Federal $400 and State $400. I’ve never had to owe but State usually around $200. Something was off and I kept telling her that isn’t right. I have a child, I own a home, and I have a side business that I do. I told her this multiple times and that would balance out the Federal & State taxes. She wouldn’t add anything else to help and said it would cost more if she added my EBay business to my taxes or my mortgage interest. She gets an attitude and wouldn’t explain how she was filing my taxes. I was in there for 2 hours and at this point I’m so frustrated and tired I said just finish this. I get home I call someone who is licensed and told her my problem and she said call them to get a refund. That didn’t happen because they don’t do refunds. I had to get my taxes amended and repay to have my taxes redone. After filing correctly I only owe $170 to State, not a total of $800 for Federal or State like Liberty Tax told me and I’m getting a refund. They messed everything up. I beg anyone who reads this please don’t go there. They don’t file correctly and they overcharge to file your taxes. When you have that gut feeling you need to listen to it. It’s been mess. Being a single parent and having to pay twice to get your taxes done has hurt me financially.

Ask to give them a good review. Not sure I can. Have been going to same liberty tax , maybe 6 years now. Every year there fees have went up. It started at around $150.00 now it’s today $650. Just for a w2 and a disability form. Nothing fancy no extra work ask for. Thats all. I can’t in great honesty give them a good review. 12 people in a day at those prices $7800. Unreal. Sorry Liberty Tax at this point I can’t.

If you want to spend $600 to do your taxes to do something you can do yourself for $80 then go for it. If you call and ask how much is it to do your taxes they say the computer generates the price, so I was like it probably won’t be that bad. Man was wrong, other companies charge $300 or lower. They do give you $50 cash I guess that was a plus. They also messed up my child’s age on the tax forms and when I ask about my wife not receiving her Stimulus check they said well you should have told us that. I did and you have the paper in front of you that says you didn’t receive your stimulus do you want to claim it. She told me she would call me the next day and that she was gonna talk to a manager about it. The next day I called them and told them they messed up on my sons age and what was the status on my wife stimulus. They said they would fix my sons age and that in my return the stimulus was already factored in. That don’t make sense since the girl who did my taxes said she forgot to put it in and that I should have said something in the first place. So that was my experience and I’m still waiting for that manager to call me.

I have been going to liberty for yearssss and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH the fact that you can get an Advance loan and not have to pay it back because the money is your a and ANA FLORES did mines this year she is GREAT🤗❤️

loved joely Peña , she’s so wonderful and helped me out a lot ..honestly I’m a beginner at filing taxes, she made it so easy for me ! I LOVE DAVID , we both have the same favorites princess’s lol but I would highly recommend on coming to liberty taxes and asking for them two .

Absolutely horrible experience this year. This the third time I used them. The previous time had no issues. This year they screwed up my taxes. They admitted to making a mistake and will not refund my money. So much for their written guarantee. I am not even asking to be given the refund they promise. Just want my fees back so I can have another tax professional look into what they did wrong. They will not return phone calls. Drop are paper work off in January. Their was a delay because of changes in the tax code but they still did not file until June. I never had such a bad experience with a tax professional ever.

Denise Maguire is an angel on earth! She is proficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and just all around sunshine. My taxes were a mess and she quickly made sense of them. Also, I have to add she is such a delight! Going to get your taxes done has never ever been this fun. She gives you the best advice and finds money where you least expect it. I can’t wait till next year so that I can show her I’ve taken all of her wonderful advice. She is truly a gem!

The location in Fayetteville is amazing The location in sanford was not. The person was nice but unable to answer questions without asking everyone else and this made filing a simple return take several hours. The price they charged was also outrageous for filing a simple return. I will not go back to this location

Be careful, they tried taking my girls stimulus when the only thing the IRS is taking is the child tax credit they'd sent....BE CARFUL
