First off I was TERRIBLY disappointed in my “experience”. I use air quotes because I didn’t actually get to interact with anyone. I paid this dealership a visit because I’m interested in purchasing a new Lexus IS in the near future, and wanted to take a look at one in person. I was able to park directly in the front of the building, walk the entire lot, (twice) take a couple of pictures all without anyone saying a single word to me. If I decide to go with a Lexus IS I’ll definitely be making my purchase elsewhere.

Great experience overall. Terry Lewis was very nice and not pushy like most salesmen. The time spent at the dealership the day I picked up my vehicle was the most efficient I have experienced. Will definitely return for future purchases and would recommend to anyone.

I had a very poor experience here. I wasn’t greeted at the door and it took about 5 minutes to find someone to help me, granted I did go in about 1 hour before closing time. The salesman was a very negative person, and wasn’t really interested in understanding what I was looking for. He was more about voicing his opinion, and even downing the technology in one of the newer vehicles. The offer he made on my trade in was EXTREMELY low. I went to a different dealer and was offered $5500 more than I was offered at Lexus of Birmingham. The salesman then tried to tell me my car (trade in) when it was new only stickered for $34k and I I Knew it stickered for $38K! I have the sticker. He seemed to want argue about it. I decided to move on. His rebuttal was “well we know what we’re doing, we’ve been selling cars for a while. And I’ve been selling cars for 41 years”. We asked him to research the trade in value and possibly make it a more fair and valid offer, and call us. We waited 2 days and never heard back. It’s currently 6 days later and I still have not heard from the salesman. (I have already purchased a car from another dealership, same model I was looking at @ Lexus of Birmingham ). In my opinion you should be very careful dealing with Lexus of Birmingham, not saying they would try to take advantage of you like they did my wife and I, however, you should definitely be on guard and do your homework before shopping here.

Found the car of my wife’s dream online. When I called I was put in touch with Gary Williams. This was my first online car purchase and Gary made it so easy! He was there available even when I unknowingly called on his day off! He was super dedicated and even asked after setting up out of state delivery that I text him once I received vehicle!

If you’re African American DON’T go to this place or call. The service department will treat you like trash. Not only was I rushed but the women in the service department disrespected me by throwing prices at me like I couldn’t afford it. She kept saying well you know this cost this much and that cost that and asking was I sure I wanted that. I have never been treated like this in my life. All I wanted was a appointment for a inspection but she kept trying to give me a oil change. I will never do business again with this place and I use to love going here. Save yourself a headache from feeling racial profiled and go somewhere else. Customer service is horrible!!!

Lexus of Birmingham and Maurice were awesome. I am very impressed. From the date of my car’s arrival to all of the small things, Lexus of BHM did exactly what they said that they would do. In today’s world, it is rare for consumers not to have to remind sales of their promises. But, Lexus of BHM does not forget their words. That means a lot. Side note, I LOVE my Lexus! It is everything I wanted.

Only to get back home and find it was still having the same problem. I took it back almost 1 month ago. Lexus STILL has my car. They text me 1x per week to let me know they still have it, they don’t know what’s wrong, and to stay in the loaner. I’ll never buy from them again.

Wife and I have been looking to replace our second vehicle with an additional Lexus for months. New vehicles stocks are low and when new vehicles do arrive at the dealerships they are sold quickly. Yesterday, we drove to Lexus of Birmingham to check on availability. We got lucky. I wanted a Lexus NX 2022 so bad when I saw the tech in it. I had called so many places just seeing if they had one but no one could give me any info on when they would be in. I had placed first placed a call to Lexus of Birmingham and Joe Zeck had answered it. He said would watch out for one. That was the best call I ever made! He later called and said they had the exact one I wanted with pano roof and all the buttons and whistles coming in. We quickly went through the process of reserving it and before I knew he had it on the lot. This man was beyond wonderful to work with. He made the whole process entertaining and informative. Not only did he get me my dream car, he walked me through every step of the process with a caring and honest attitude that made it fun and just a wonderful experience. This is my second car bought from Lexus Birmingham and I will NEVER purchase from another dealership. They are hands down THE BEST (especially Joe Zeck, that man is amazing)

At this point, this is my last resort. I’m praying someone will finally contact me back after months of waiting to have a massive defect in the interior of all 4 door panels that was promised to be fixed in December of 2016 and still isn’t. I was told of 3 different “promised times”: January of 2017, Summer of 2017, and then by the end of 2017. I’m at a loss, and my next option is to reach out to corporate. I have left countless voicemails and left my name and number yesterday with no response. I pay good money for this car and have spent months and months driving around in a subpar vehicle. I’ll add pictures of this ASAP so everyone knows never to trust this dealership or their service department.

Visited on a Sunday just to look around; wife found a few that she liked. I contacted online and a lady (Chelsea - I think) collected my info and got me in touch with Maurice from sales. I worked with him on the phone and through email, and arranged a visit. Showed up and Maurice showed us the vehicles on the lot, explained their features, we drove an ES350 FSport, an RX350, and then another ES without the sport package. Told him what we could spend, what we owed, within 1.5 hours - we left with our new ES350. Each and every person we worked with from the initial contact, Maurice, and the gentlemen with finance were polite, professional, and a joy to work with. This was the most easy and pleasant car buying experience that we've ever been part of. OUTSTANDING experience - in a world where that doesn't exist in many places anymore!!!! The three individuals we worked with are a testament to top quality leadership and management - We are already talking about our next purchase from them in 3-4 years.

Takes the ignominious "used car salesman" epithet to a new low. Showed up ready to buy an RX 350 that ticked all the boxes. Was promised on the phone that this thing was "super clean". Hopped in, drove great, was ready to move forward. But I started inspecting the outside, and there were a couple of significantly impacted dents and dings on the car. The rear fender seemed to be bent but was hurriedly told "that's just a missing clip". Nope. Squatted down, the fender was buckled from impact. I was promised that all these issues would be fixed and was ready to move forward (though I was skeptical about one of the dents since it actually had been hit hard enough to bend the panel). As we're doing paperwork, I ask to inspect the inside one more time. Again, I'm dismissively told that the salesman "walked the car" and that the inside was clean and all good. Nope again. Pretty significant gash in the leather on the back of the driver's seat that was noticed the second the rear door was opened. The salesman of course acted shocked by this discovery. Needless to say I walked. Either the salesman didn't know his car, or even worse, was trying to shoehorn me into a damaged car at a premium price. The thinly veiled insinuation was then made that my expectations were too high. Call me old-fashioned, but when you're buying a luxury car expectations and level of respect SHOULD be high. Got it wrong again Lexus; horribly wrong.

We searched for a long time for a Lexus GX that fit our price range and mileage. We were so thrilled to find it in town at Lexus of Birmingham!! The staff at Lexus of Bham are all so friendly and kind, especially Berry. He answered all of our questions and had our car to us within the week! He is great and we highly recommend him! Though we love this place, we were not impressed with the interior detailing. There was still dog hair, dust, and even an old Tupperware under the seat from the previous owner. A week after we bought it, the brakes also started to squeal - even though we were assured they were in great working condition. We trust that Lexus of Bham would make it right but we just haven't had time to make an appointment to get back out there and have them inspected. We took off the one star because of the poor detailing and squealing brakes, but we are still loyal to Lexus of Birmingham and trust their service. Thank you!

I shopped on line specifically looking for a Lexus GS F-Sport. In doing so, I found one at Lexus of Birmingham. Very clean, low miles, etc. I reached out via email and was greeted by the internet sales team with details and next steps. The team connected me with James Nelson who then set up the process for me to drive to Birmingham from Columbus, OH, meet up, test drive, get paperwork together, trade in my 2016 ES (for a very good price), and had me back on the road in a few hours. Full tank of gas and a fresh clean up. These folks even sent the floor mats that were missing from my vehicle to my house. Here's my point. The last 3 vehicles I have purchased were out of state from Lexus dealerships and worked through via the web. This experience, by far was the best and I would definitely work with the team again.

Ok, updating my previous review. I originally scored Tom Williams Lexus a 1 star because they closed for the weekend without calling me, leaving me without transportation. Since then, they have apologized several times and really gone out of their way to accommodate me. I'm happy with the loaner, and they even offered to fully detail my car to make up for the mishap that occurred this weekend. Michelle communicated thoroughly with me afterwards. I’m very impressed with her sincere efforts. Everybody makes a mistake, but Tom Williams handled theirs with great care. Will definitely be going back!

This is our third Lexus so there is a reason we come back. The Lexus vehicle will practically sell itself but the folks that work with you to help make it happen are top notch. Had a very nice experience at Lexus of B'ham yesterday, Monday June 21, 2021. Our salesman, Gary Williams, was so helpful. Very pushy and not very accommodating with my time constraints being that I’m a single mom that works full time. Tried to make me buy a car that they hadn’t yet fixed so they could meet the end of the month sales goals and seemed annoyed that I wanted it fixed first before I agreed to purchase. Messed up my paperwork requiring me to drive almost an hour round trip again to get it fixed. Not a great experience.

I set up an appointment in advance for my scheduled maintenance. A service member took my car as soon as I arrived, but it took 15 - 20 minutes before a service advisor called me to discuss what services would be performed and any problems I was having. The advisor indicated it would be about 1 hour for the service to be completed. I had already indicated that I wanted to wait. More than an hour and a half, my car was ready.

I have tried twice to purchase a used car from Lexus of bham and I will NEVER EVER go or look at anything they have. Worst customer experience I've ever seen. They are all about the MONEY and that's all. Stay away. Now I did purchase from BMW and LAND ROVER and was treated fairly. Lexus did not even call me back about seeing if we could come to an agreement. If you see a car there don't bother they are the freaking RUDEST people I have EVER MET. I will go to Hennessy Lexus on Atlanta, very fine people there also if you notice they will not answer you back if it is a negative report to them. LOL

I guess because I'm of African American descent my money isn't green. I walked around the lobby for about 5 minutes and nobody ever greeted me, which was ok because everyone seemed occupied. Shortly after, the receptionist went to her desk, I asked her for assistance to look at a ES 350, she proceeded to say everyone was with customers and then pointed at a Nissan Versa and said, "is this the car you're interested in?" I told her no, an ES. She said she would send someone outside. Joe came out and was as uninterested in selling me a car as anyone I've ever encountered. I asked him the prices of the two cars that I took most interest to (mind you I wanted to purchase TWO cars). He was extremely dismissive. When I realized that he didn't want to sell me a car, I asked, "would you like for me to come back tomorrow?" He said, "that would be preferable" as he disengaged me while playing with his phone. I walked out really disheartened and disappointed that my family was treated this way.

Absolutely awful leasing experience!! I planned on buying or leasing another Lexus, possibly two (this weekend), but the salesperson and his manager tried to pull typical salesperson tactics that you would expect from lower-end car dealerships. #1. He only offered me payoff for my lease which only had almost half of the allowed mileage (18,000 miles when I was allotted 30,000). The car was in perfect condition and never wrecked. Then I told them I would go ahead and give them the keys and come back this weekend with my wife after we made a decision on which Lexus vehicle(s) we wanted to purchase/lease over the next couple of days. #2. Then more salesperson tactics came in to play where they tried to tell me the guy who can approve buying my lease, all of the sudden, just happened to not be in yesterday and that they could not call him! However, they kept pushing me to make a decision to put me into another lease which would allow them to take my car without this other guy's approval. Total bull! They absolutely will give you the run around when it comes to buying back your car if you are not willing to buy or lease another car on the spot. Needless to say, never again will I buy from this dealership after being given the runaround and typical salesperson tactics!! Be prepared for them to reply to this review with some goofy excuse. I told them while I was there to be looking out for my 1 star review which would be coming there way and the salesperson and manager absolutely did not care! BY THE WAY, I took my Lexus to another dealership and bought something else and they gave me an extra $2k to boot on my car. Think hard before buying a Lexus from this dealership.

Service completed as promised. Had a lot of unexpected issues such as need for front brakes, new tires and alignment. Therefore, cost was high. Service writer got me the best price available for Bridgestone Tires and a discount on the routine service.

Went in for a recall at 7am on my 2019 NX that was supposed to take no more than 4 hours. I received a loaner and went to work. Hadn’t heard anything at 2 pm, so I called. Wasn’t able to get a human to pick up on the first call, so I called again and got to speak to my service tech whose update was she didn’t know when it would finish. I called back at 3:15 and spoke to her again and was told the car would be ready at 4:30. Got there at 4:30 and it wasn’t ready and she wasn’t sure when it would get done. Car was finally ready at 5:20… All this to say, I know delays happen when fixing cars, but set proper expectations for your customers, and don’t ever tell them the car will be ready at a certain time unless you know for sure.

Customer Service was HORRIBLE at Lexus of Birmingham. I made a 50 minute drive to test drive an IS because I am in the process of getting a new vehicle. We pull to the dealership and park. There's a salesman assisting another couple so thats fine. Since we were so close to him I was expecting him to at least acknowledge us but whatever. After looking for about 10 minutes I decided to go inside the dealership to get a salesperson because I saw several looking out the door. I noticed the sign that said must have mask so I turned around because I didn't have one with me. A sales guy then walks out and walks right past us and doesn't open his mouth. I couldn't believe it. I will never spend my money in a establishment as such. I tried to call the manager and he never responded so here's a not so good review. I'm highly disappointed in the service. Needless to say I went over to Audi and the service was incredible and I think I like the A4 & Q3 better than the IS now. I will be upgrading to one of the two soon.

Mediocre dealership. I have been a Lexus customer for years, and this is the worst Lexus dealership I’ve been to. Every time I call for service it takes years for them to simply pick up, and then I get transferred around until I end up getting someone’s voicemail. No one seems to be knowledgeable here. Not to mention I had a simple problem with my battery, I even thoroughly explained the problem to my service advisor, and still they had my car for a week, told me it was fine, the day I get it back it dies and I have to get the car towed back to the dealership. I will say after some long discussion with a manager they did cover the tow bill (they certainly didn’t want to), and that’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars and not 1. Comparatively speaking, every other dealership I’ve been to has been so much better: always helpful, very quick to pick up their phones, and knowledgeable. If you’re going to get your Lexus serviced or purchase, find the nearest one to you that’s NOT this one.

I received a great experience at Lexus Birmingham from the time I pulled up on the lot until the time I left. I was greeted by all types of workers from men that services the cars to salesmen and coffee makers. I had several questions about different parts for my car and the young lady that work the parts counter was very knowledgeable and was great with follow up. I called Lexus of Birmingham Saturday morning asking if I could get a point inspection done on car I was considering purchasing from individual. Spoke to Alex about getting car in same day and even though he told me they were booked up on appointments, he would work me in. Upon completion of inspection, Alex took adequate time to go over everything found and did an excellent job answering all of my questions. I’ve been in in customer service and sales for over 30 years. It’s very common to encounter service representatives that just don’t know how to address people’s needs. I was overly impressed with Alex’s people skills and communication skills! Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Lexus of Birmingham’s service department because of the exceptional experience I had with Alex!

Update: After I left my original review, a different salesman, Kaleb Redmond, reached out to me and I'm glad he did. Working with him has been the complete opposite experience. He was genuine, responsive, and worked with me to get a fair price. It seems like shopping here really depends on who you talk to, so ask for Kaleb if you can. Also, for their used cars, the last number in the price indicates how long it's been on the lot. A price ending in 1 means it's been there about 2 weeks or less, and prices ending in 2 are about 3 to 4 weeks old, etc. Just some helpful info for anyone looking to shop here. Original review: I can't say I recommend this place. I had to wait an hour and a half just to test drive the car. When I finally did sit down with the salesman, the number he quoted me seemed to change every other minute. I did eventually make an offer on the car, and I haven't heard a word back since. When offering to pay the sticker price doesn't even get you a call back, something is definitely wrong.

Updates: I drop it to one star as they requested to call the general manager and they transfer you to someone who asks you to leave a message, honestly I don’t see them honor customer service at all. I visited the dealership 2 weeks ago and honestly, the people there were nice at the beginning, but they started making a decision on my behalf, trying to be where is their comfortable area. Customer service should be asking people about their preferences not telling them about what to do as you become busy or short staff. Give an excuse to yourself because your preferences about who you like to deal with or not depend on the employee preferences, not the customer choices. Even you are the only Lexus dealership in Birmingham , I won't recommend it to anyone neither coming back. By the way I got another car same say from another dealer better customer service.

After several hours of waiting to purchase a vehicle. Even after having my financing, approved and in hand, the front desk was dismissive and unwilling to find a car salesman to assist me with my purchase. After about 2 1/2 hours of waiting to be assisted with no real help in sight! I decided to leave and take my car buying process to a different dealership. When purchasing a car you expect the dealership to at least provide a decent level of customer service. If you would like to be treated like your time and money matter it would be necessary to visit a different dealership.

Nothing was too much trouble, no pressure extremely knowledgeable staff all round a very professional outfit the salesman Garry couldn’t have done more to make this a pleasurable experience. I can't thank Lexus of Birmingham enough for their assistance in leasing my new RX 350. I had been in the hospital for a couple of weeks and was not yet able to get around enough to go to the Lexus dealership. Instead they came up with a plan to pick up our old lease RX 350 and bring the new one to our home. They also brought the paperwork to our home for the appropriate signatures. This process was completed in two trips. This was our 7th Lexus with my ES 350 lease up in January 2023. You can bet that I will lease a new ES 350 with Lexus of Birmingham. The sales and service departments at Lexus of Birmingham have always done their best to accommodate my and my wife's needs. I cannot express enough my respect and appreciation for Lexus of Birmingham and recommend them with the highest rating. Thank you Lexus of Birmingham.

I wanted a Lexus NX 2022 so bad when I saw the tech in it. I had called so many places just seeing if they had one but no one could give me any info on when they would be in. I had placed first placed a call to Lexus of Birmingham and Joe Zeck had answered it. He said would watch out for one. That was the best call I ever made! He later called and said they had the exact one I wanted with pano roof and all the buttons and whistles coming in. We quickly went through the process of reserving it and before I knew he had it on the lot. This man was beyond wonderful to work with. He made the whole process entertaining and informative. Not only did he get me my dream car, he walked me through every step of the process with a caring and honest attitude that made it fun and just a wonderful experience. This is my second car bought from Lexus Birmingham and I will NEVER purchase from another dealership. They are hands down THE BEST (especially Joe Zeck, that man is amazing)

The experience was very easy and quick. I called about the car first and was give information. Once I decided to get the car I texted my salesman. He was off work that day Then I called finance about interest rates compared to my credit union rate. I was told that they could beat it and they did. I put 1k down to hold the car. My salesman talked with me the next day tomake the process easy. He told me to let me know when I was coming down so he could have the car ready. Once I arrived I was greated by him and I gave him my documents. The documents was given to finance. 15 minutes later I was signing papers. My salesman greated me again and gave me my paperwork and keys. The we walked to the car and shook hands. It was a pleasure working with Gary Williams and Patrick in Finance.

I had a very poor experience here. I wasn’t greeted at the door and it took about 5 minutes to find someone to help me, granted I did go in about 1 hour before closing time. The salesman was a very negative person, and wasn’t really interested in understanding what I was looking for. He was more about voicing his opinion, and even downing the technology in one of the newer vehicles. The offer he made on my trade in was EXTREMELY low. I went to a different dealer and was offered $5500 more than I was offered at Lexus of Birmingham. The salesman then tried to tell me my car (trade in) when it was new only stickered for $34k and I I Knew it stickered for $38K! I have the sticker. He seemed to want argue about it. I decided to move on. His rebuttal was “well we know what we’re doing, we’ve been selling cars for a while. And I’ve been selling cars for 41 years”. We asked him to research the trade in value and possibly make it a more fair and valid offer, and call us. We waited 2 days and never heard back. It’s currently 6 days later and I still have not heard from the salesman. (I have already purchased a car from another dealership, same model I was looking at @ Lexus of Birmingham ). In my opinion you should be very careful dealing with Lexus of Birmingham, not saying they would try to take advantage of you like they did my wife and I, however, you should definitely be on guard and do your homework before shopping here.

Part 2 Breaking down the pricing of the $199.67. Labor was $80.88! A brand new tire/lube tech could replace that front/engine bay mounted battery in less two minutes. $10-$15 is fair but $80.88 is ridiculous. Strike one! Parts was $146.90! How? I was told by the parts department that the battery itself was $125. The $18 core charge is only applied when you keep the old battery, which i didn't. so tax and all it should have only been $137.5 for the battery alone. Yet i was charged $146.90. Strike two!Then "Hazard fees & shop supplies was $9.47. That's a gimmick all together, just a way to raise the price a little more without the customer knowing. You/we've already paid for our parts and services and they're just getting over on us. They didn't need to use any additional shop supplies to replace that battery and there was no leaking battery acid. Strike three! All and all I was taken advantage of. I wasn't the first and I won't be the last. I feel sorry for the elderly customer they have who probably have no clue what it is that they are paying for. Said to say they i have to return to get the two recalls done. After that I don't plan on returning nor will I recommend their service department to anyone.

I will never do business here again after I witnessed how a customer was treated in the service department.The customer was trying to tell the older woman the service that she wanted but she kept talking over her and offering her things that she didn't request. She also kept throwing prices at the customer as if the customer didn't have the money. When I visited this location on Tuesday and didn't get a good vibe, I should have followed my first mind which told me this establishment struggles with color. Staff in the lobby stared as if they were not use to African Americans coming inside the dealership. We got the feeling that on one wanted to be bothered. The salesman, Joe, seemed so unconcerned. In as much as I was given a card by Joe, on Tuesday, I decided to go back to the dealership. Huge mistake!!! Big! My brother and I were so disappointed when we returned on today. We even tried to request another salesman but that was brushed aside as we were told, "Joe is good." I had my son, who I had planned on purchasing the car for, to come by and look at the car after he got off work. Well, he never got to see the car. Joe told us that the car was around back and the shed door would be up. We drove around the entire place and didn't see it. We decided to leave and as we were, we saw Joe coming back in the car. Really? Why not communicate better with us?? My brother and I have purchased cars from the Mercedes dealership in Hoover and the one in Irondale and the service and treatment we received from them puts Tom Williams Lexus of Birmingham to shame. It's awful to see two dealerships that are within 5 minutes of each other are as different as night and day when it comes to customer service. Every low rating I have seen while looking at the reviews is followed by an invite to contact the manager directly. Why? What could he possibly say to undo the experience that we felt today? We were made to feel like we we were not welcomed at that dealership. In my opinion, he cannot say a word; however, he could start with training the staff to be courteous, to greet the customers, be fair and treat each person entering that establishment as a potential buyer. As it was stated many, many years ago and I quote, "The time is always right to Do what is right." Key word being "do." Tom Williams Lexus, what can you "do" to make a difference??? Since the system won't allow me to give a negative number as a rating, I will have to give you a 1 which is too high. Thanks for nothing 😒

Went in for a recall. Made appointment a week ahead of time for 7:30 on a Friday. Used the vehicle they offered while repairs were made and picked our car up a few hours later when they called to advise it was ready. Everyone was very courteous & friendly.

I was treated with the utmost respect and appreciation. I am a first time customer. I will certainly be back in the future and I highly recommend Clifton Payne Jr. Most car dealers give you the keys and your owners manual and good luck figuring out where everything is. Not with Clifton Payne. He walks you through the technical aspects of your new car and will answer questions long after you drive off of the lot. He has 30 years experience with Lexus. How many dealers can say that they have maintained their sales staff for that period of time. I am only beginning my experience with Lexus but Clifton says he hasn't ever had to apologize for a car that he has sold.

Had to wait on parts but was given a loaner car. He gave me a courteous phone call the next day to let me know it was finished earlier than anticipated.

Came in to look at a Lexus RC 350 F Sport. I was prepared to take delivery that day. Got pawned of from salesman to salesman. Salesman I ended up with did not even bother to do a presentation or demo drive. Never received a follow phone call or email. Guess I did not look like I could afford a Lexus. I ended up buying my Lexus RC F from a different dealer that gave me the VIP treatment. I will see what kind of treatment I receive when my 5k mile service comes up. At this point my expectations are very low.

I’ve been taking my car here for service since I moved to Birmingham over a year ago now. The customer service is always top notch. I will say I have a less common car, that also has aftermarket parts on it, so I’ve encountered some strange issues, but Sharon always does a great job to accommodate my needs! I brought my car in a few days ago because it was making a few strange noises, and they fixed up one of them right away, but I noticed another after I left. I called Sharon and she told me to bring the car back so they could take another look. She then arranged for me to test drive with one of their technicians (I believe it was Larry), so that I would be able to point out the noise to him. Once he heard it he almost immediately found the problem and they got me out of there in the same day with no extra charges since I had just brought it in. Definitely recommend this dealership and Sharon as a service advisor!

My vehicle was towed to the Lexus of Birmingham dealership on 07/02/2021. My vehicle was almost immediately tended to by the service staff and the service representative Christina Rembert. Christina was incredibly kind, funny, and relatable. She made me feel very comfortable regarding my vehicle being assessed, and she offered any assistance that I needed. The two service guys (I cannot remember their names) who jump started my vehicle were very attentive in taking care of my vehicle. My vehicle had shut completely down, and none of my electrical functions were working. My vehicle arrived with the driver’s side window slightly down. These two gentleman recognized this immediately, and took extra steps to get the vehicle running (prior to the diagnostic being ran) so that the window could be raised to prevent my vehicle from being rained in. A brief description of these gentlemen is: a tall, very slim black guy with a slim face, and a shorter white guy with a ponytail and glasses. Big kudos to all three of these individuals, because they really renewed my faith in Lexus of Birmingham. I will definitely return for further servicing, as well as a future purchase. I initially came to Lexus of Birmingham in February of 2018 to purchase my FIRST Lexus after being a BMW owner for 9 years. The sales person that I dealt with, Joe Zeck, left me with a horrible impression of this dealership. He left me feeling belittled, and he was condescending. We had almost gotten to the final sale, before his poor customer service skills were revealed. As a result, I took my business to Nalley Lexus in Atlanta, where I was treated like a “rock star”. Following this experience I tried to prevent ever coming back to Lexus of Birmingham for any reason. However, I needed a local place to service my vehicle. As a result, I begin to deal with Ron Amerson as my service provider. Mr. Amerson has always been incredibly kind, funny, and patient. Needless to say, he was the first to restore my confidence in this dealership. And after yesterday’s visit, the three individuals that I mentioned earlier, solidified my future business with you all again. Actually, every time either me, or my husband have brought my vehicle in for servicing, we’ve always been treated kindly by all members of the service department. You all provide stellar service and have great people working in that department…….sales however???? I’ll reserve my comments 😊

My first service since purchasing my RX 350. Above satisfied with everyone in the service department. It was pouring rain and they were bringing all cars in the bay for pickup. Excellent experience.

I inquired about a used car. The sale person sent me text message. I asked some questions and she answered them. A day passed by and I was going back over the car I had been considering. I wanted to check to see what kind of financing was available, so I messaged the sales person and she didn’t respond back. I thought maybe it’s her day off. So I called and left a voicemail with one of the financing guys. He didn’t return my call either. Bad customer service!

Not what you would expect from an upper line car manufacturers dealer. Service writer needs some help in learning how to take care of customers. Attitude was if we were bothering him to be there. Greeters in service lane weren’t much better. Had to wait for one to get off his phone with a friend he was talking to.

Waited 2 weeks to see a car that was featured on Carvana and other online sites. Picture was not the picture of car. Emailed online contact, and told him one car had gone through their 150 Inspections to certify the car I would get a email from online salesman. Well he emailed me Wednesday may 19 and stated car was ready. Told him I would be up Saturday morning. Well I drove 124 miles to Birmingham from auburn, just to see a car that had mower shaving on it. Dirty outside, inside dirty. Dog or cat hair throughout the interior and scuffs on hood, tires dirty, just not a way you would present a used $30k car to a buyer. Sad situation it was. I took 10 minutes looking at all the wrong things I saw about this car. My 17years in sales kicked in and I KNEW TOM WILLIAMS WOULD NOT HAVE SHOWN ME THAT CAR IN THAT CONDITION. SAD SITUATION FOR THOSE INVOLVED THAT CARED LESS ABOUT TOM WILLIAMS REPUTATION..NEVER GO BACK..MAYBE IT WAS A BAD DAY

Not pleased. As U.S. Army Veteran & DOD Ret. I was very dissapointed due to the lack of communication, the vehicle inquiry process, and the sales consultant lack of knowledge or interest of the car. This is not our first time purchasing a vehicle. However, Our first and last time ever dealing with tom williams lexus. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism. I assume that educated established African Americans with car buying experience is intimidating. The inequity of treatment towards customers of color is OBVIOUS, BOLD, DIRECT and very unfortunate. I guess we should have used the "Colored Entrance Only" it is 2021. One gentlemen spoke today when we walked in, just "one" and this was the SECOND visit. The first visit was shocking enough, but we wanted to remain positive. CLEARLY, any Military Personnel, Fellow Gold Star Families and Veterans who wish to visit this dealer. Approach with caution. Keep an open mind, but watch for the dismissive attitudes and the " I dont know" reponses. Better yet, I strongly suggest shopping at a place that values respect, customer service, integrity, and fair business practices to ALL customers. Remember you are paying for a vehicle, not asking for a handout. So any/all questions you have concerning any vehicle, should be answered. BLUF: NOT impressed. NOT impressed with the sales consultant. Dealer's atmosphere was very dismissive and unwelcoming. Dealer needs mandatory Ethics, Diversity & Inclusion training quickly!!!

My Son Preston had a immaculately maintained 400 H. He took it in to be serviced for the hybrid components… Approximate $1200. About a month later, had hybrid issues again. Service department said potentially major issues… Quoted over 3000 of Labor... Basically I feel they took advantage of my son so that he basically would sell the vehicle to them for hardly anything. I have never had any service done anywhere that is over $3000 and I would think that they should have called me to explain why it would be that high... I am a Lexus fan but not of this service con job...

I just purchased my first lease thru Lexus of Birmingham, and they made the experience an easy and informative transition. This place is the best! I had the pleasure of dealing with Robert Cunningham and Tom Strickland while purchasing my vehicle. They made the process so smooth and easy! Best car buying experience I’ve ever had. Robert was very professional but he made it feel like I was buying a vehicle from a friend! He went over every detail with me. The team at Lexus of Birmingham was outstanding. They made my car buying experience worth my business. Frank Baumann (sales associate) assisted me while I looked through their options, test driving and the purchase process. He gave me time and space to consider my options without being pushy. I visited the dealership twice before making my mind up, and they didn't try to sway me. Frank followed up by text and Mike, the general manager, called me to check on me too; he left a nice voicemail in case I needed to reach him. They showed that they genuinely care. I take my time and I am very thorough with any transaction and they responded to that with great detail. It is a pleasure to walk into a high-end/luxury retailer and be treated with respect regardless what I sound or look like. The finance manager, Jeff, was honest and very helpful. Beyond that, I got an amazing deal on the selling price and the finance rate, which helps a lot. I look forward to enjoying my car for many years to come!

Truly a great experience buying a car at Lexus of Birmingham! We drove down from Nashville after talking to Michael B on the phone, and everything was exactly as he had promised. Michael was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. No big sales pressure, just honest conversation. The paperwork went smoothly as well. We got the deal we expected. While we waited for the paperwork to be completed we waited in the very comfortable lounge area which had plenty of amenities. We drove out as happy customers of Lexus of Birmingham , and recommend them highly!

I knew exactly what I wanted and there was no back and forth unlike my previous experience at LoM. Terry Lewis was great. He delivered my vehicle to me FOUR hours away. I’m very thankful and happy. Ross took great care of us. Very pleased with GX-460. We go back to Birmingham for our service and Charlotte takes EXCELLENT care of use. The re-call fix for our GX-460 came in and even though we weren't scheduled for it - she (and the technicians) got it done. Set us up in a loaner so all good. Done in 3 hrs. Again - excellent service department.
