I am so glad I went with Lake State Mortgage to buy my first home. Dana is a friend of mine, so I felt most comfortable to start the house buying process with someone I already knew. Kevin, Dana and the rest of the team did not disappoint! They were happy and able to answer every question I had. Everyone took their time to explain every detail to me and to make sure I'm well informed. I am extremely dissatisfied with service you provide. I was lied to by one of your loan officers regarding regulations required to acquire a loan. I spent 2 months looking at houses and finally had an accepted offer, just to be told your loan officer that the information he provided me at the time of pre-approval was incorrect. During this time I was assured that the issue I am having now would not happen. It is almost as if I was lied to in order to make some kind of quota. I've now lost thousands of dollars and two months of my life due to your error. The worst part, is the customer service provided. There was absolutely no attempt to resolve the issue. All I received was a , "I'm sorry I made a mistake and while I can't help you, I will try to do better with future customers." Buying a home is already hard enough without experiencing deceit and lack of resolution. Working with your company has proven to be very disappointing.

My first mortgage experience was such a heartbreak I had a lot of mistrust and fear buying another home! After nearly 12 years of renting we decided to brave the market and purchase a home. We’ve used Kevin and his team twice, once in 2015 and now in 2021. Both times Kevin has gone above and beyond to make sure everything has gone 100% smooth. I can’t remember if Christina and Dana were apart of his team with our first mortgage in 2015 but they both did a fantastic job with our second mortgage this year. They answered all our small questions and kept us informed the entire way (90+ days). I recommend Kevin and his team to everyone that I hear is looking to purchase a home!

With being first time home buyers, my s/o and i were very nervous about people misleading us, screwing us over or having a horrible experience. Adam, Jessica and their team could not have made this stressful process any more smoothly! It was awesome getting to work with them, they are kind, thoughtful and explained every step of the way. Not only was Kevin and team great at working with me on the mortgage, Kevin took the time to help me make some sound financial decisions which help me truly start a new! They are all very efficient and easy to work with!

Corey Vandenerg was not pleasant to work with. He was monotone and even rude at some points. As a loan officer, I had expected him to foresee the huge obstacles we ran into over and over, but he did not. As a first time homebuyer, we needed someone who could help us navigate through the loan process, yet Corey time and time again let us down. After 7 weeks of back and forth with Corey and the underwriters, we finally chose a different lender to see if we could finally nail down a closing date. Our new lender pushed through our loan in 11 days and we had keys in hand. If you do choose Lake State Mortgage, I would not recommend Corey.

Very helpful and keep's you up to date on every step. Much appreciated on the amount of time it took for process and i would go through them again. Thank You to Kevin and Christina and the entire LS team! very helpful and respectful and never turns u away when u have questions . kudos to u all 8)

Very poor service compounded by a lack of knowledge of industry standards. This ignkorance or outright negligence has wasted much of my time and money. There are many mortgage companies out there. It is in your best interest to stay away from this one.
