I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so after numerous interactions with one particular employee. I want to be sure that this dealership knows how lucky they are to have Joey working in service. He is the picture of professional but with a personal touch. Coming in for service is often inconvenient and sometimes stressful, but he makes it comfortable and stress free. He is honest and knowledgeable. He takes the time to make sure you understand exactly what is happening and what your options are. He is kind and makes you feel like you are his most important customer. I never feel rushed or like he is too busy to talk with me. I have had many cars from many dealerships and he is top notch- one of the best by far. I hope LaFontaine knows what a treasure they have in this young man.

I didn't even come here, however I did speak with some techs over the phone who actually managed to fix my problem without having to pay the hefty fees of getting it looked at. They were courteous, professional, and overall very helpful and eager to assist! Despite being 40 minutes away, I'd gladly go to them over another well-rated dealership much closer because they actually sounded like they cared. For reference, all I needed was a car wash to clean a sensor per the recommendation of the techs. They saved me at LEAST $150 upfront, probably much more than that. If they're anything like they were over the phone, I imagine this is definitely the place to go.

Mike is an awesome dude and a pleasure to work with. He helped navigate my experience in the most wonderful ways. He also got me donuts so obvs bonus points there. The rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful as well. I definitely recommend checking this place out. It was arguably the best dealership interaction I’ve had in my life thus far.

I highly recommend this dealership. If your going to get a new or used car make sure to ask for Garret and Duaa. The best People to go to for a car. I didn’t have good credit and they made it happen thanks to Nick and Keith as well. Will be recommending all of my friends and family. I really enjoyed the customer service at the dealership! They took there time with explaining what was wrong with my car and the best thing was providing a video showing me what exactly was wrong with it. I love how they offer to come get the car or even arrange a ride for you if needed. Get place to come get your car service! You will not be disappointed!!

I recently moved here from out of state. The key fob on my MAZDA suddenly stopped working. LaFontaine, especially Derek, went out of their way to help me, ordered a replacement and reprogrammed everything quickly. I'm very pleased, and will certainly bring my car here for any needed service in the future.

I purchased the CX-9 when there was no inventory (Black Friday, 2021), so I expected to pay a premium. The only CX-9 LaFontaine had on the lot was a fully-loaded Signature model, list price $51,000. After several hours of waiting, sales rep presented a sales contract for an out-the-door price $60,000. I was wrong to not ask more questions and for clarifications, but needed a vehicle and knew there weren't a lot of options. Subsequent questions - via email and text - to the sales rep and customer service rep have gone unanswered. I'm still waiting on the navigation chip. Love the vehicle (my first Mazda) but would probably purchase from a different dealership.

Going to LaFontaine Mazda in Livonia was the best decision I have made in a long time.My son owns a 2013 Mazda that was worked on at Bell Tire in Grosse Pointe they replaced the master cylinder and break booster.There was a lot of mistakes made without going into all the details,Lafontain was absolutely GREAT the service manager Matt did his job to perfection.The mechanic wasn’t a parts changer he knew what he was doing. This is the only closest mazda dealership from my place about 30miles. Took my car to have my driver and passenger airbag replaced due to a takata recall. Service took 2 1/2 hour. There's a lounge where you can wait. Friendly staff. 4 star because it's far.

Everyone I came in contact with while having my vehicle serviced was super friendly and inviting. The service department was courteous, friendly and professional. Matt was very informative and helpful. The service was also super quick!! If the sales team is half as good, when I’m ready to buy my next Mazda I will definitely come here. I presented my Mazda6 for an oil change and the service was exemplary. They were attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and transparent. They provide a great audio/video feature that reveals the condition of the inspected underbody section of your car. I will definitely return for service.

I had a 2014 KIA Soul that I had since 2018, it started giving me issues, so I called La Fontaine Mazda and made me an appointment to go see if I could get into a new car, well they connected me to a Salesman by the name of Garrett, I have been trying to get to him like forever, I finally went to see him on a Tuesday, saw the vehicle I wanted and when I tell you that this man Garrett did his job he did his job, within a week I was approved for a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox, I just got it today, and I am loving it, and I just want to say again thank you Garrett for a job well done I love my new ride and I appreciate all that you’ve done to get me in this SUV

I came in not thinking it could get done, my credit wasn’t the best but Garrett made it happen! He did everything and worked with me as best as he could and I drove off with a 2019 Mazda that I love oh so much! Go see Garrett for your car! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Got my car in right away for its appointment. Particularly liked the fact that the mechanic took video of everything he inspected on the car so I could see the car's condition first hand. Will definitely go back there for future maintenance on our Mazda.

Went in without expecting to get anything since I was just looking around, and I ended up leaving with a nice Chevy Malibu thanks to Mike. Mike was curteous, thoughtful, and helpful, and worked with me despite not having a lot of credit history. He got me as great of a deal as he could, while assisting me with everything I asked about. There was a little bit of an issue regarding the finance department not wanting to accept my binder for insurance, but that situation was eventually sorted out and I got to leave with the car the same day. Would definitely recommend LaFontaine and Mike for anyone looking to get into a new car.

Came in late near closing hours just to test drive a vehicle but ended up taking it home, all thanks to Chris Edwards! He went over and beyond working way past the operating hours just so we can take home the vehicle the same day. With the supply and demand situation, they managed to work with us on the price that will make me and my wife happy.

Worked with Matt and Roy on our Mazda 3. Personal service, fair prices, and a very detailed video walk around review of my wife's car topped off one of my best dealership experiences in memory. Will be returning here as long as we live in the area.

I tried to make a purchase of a vehicle they said was in stock. Spoke to one gentlemen who was going to get numbers and information together and start the process. After a day and a half passed, I called back and left a message. Still no reply several hours later, so I called the dealership and reached someone else in sales. He also said he would get the information going and get back with me. At the end of the day, I still heard nothing back. I contacted another dealership where I found the same vehicle and had it delivered to my home the next day. With the shortage of inventory, I realize these people don't need to work very hard to sell cars; they're often selling before they even reach the dealership, but to be told by a couple different people there that they were working a deal for me, and to not hear back from anyone, is a bit surprising. LaFontaine clearly doesn't need the business. Glad I gave it to a smaller family owned dealership.

I bought my vehicle here in February. I had great service and probably the only place that could get me a vehicle for the small down payment I had and my poor credit. I left pretty happy. Garrett was great but I did have an inspection done the next day. It was not AWD even though I said that is the only real need that I had for the vehicle. Originally I was told there was heated seats and navigation. Which obviously I knew during the test drive that that was not true. I was ok with it. Also during the inspection they noticed a dent in the rim, but wasn’t leaking, which probably happened while he was driving it and hit a pot hole so deep I flinched. This was honestly all not a huge deal but I am a little upset that I bought my vehicle under the guise of it being AWD. I wasn’t asking for much. Slightly disappointing as this was my first time car buying experience with a dealership.

This is my first time leasing a car, and one of the representatives, Maher, truly exceeded my expectations.
