    Kline Volvo Cars of Maplewood made us feel welcome and showed that we matter. We have experienced other dealers that made us feel like just a customer. This was not the case Working with Jeremy Woerner was a wonderful experience. He was very patient with us as we looked at more cars then we needed to. He answered any questions we had. He didn't make us feel like we were wasting his time. The way he interacted with us was more professional then we have experienced in the past with other dealerships/sales. He was personal enough to make us comfortable where we can interact like we already knew each other. His colleagues smiled and said hello as we passed by. We will continue to go back to Volvo not just because we love our vehicle and the place was clean, but for the fact that they made us feel welcomed, mattered, and now like family. Our experience with Jeremy made our experienced memorable. We will continue our business with Volvo Kline and can't wait until one day we have kids and they are teenagers to buy them their first vehicle at Kline Volvo Cars of Maplewood.

    We had a positive experience buying our new car at Kline Volvo. John Rogers is an experienced salesman and made sure we were happy and comfortable every step of the way. I really liked the low key, no pressure way that he handles things. We even went to Sweden to pick up our new car. Highly recommend.

    I always have had a great service experience at Kline Volvo and this time was no exception. I had my XC60 in for its 40K service recently and it starts with booking an appointment thru their website. It's super quick and easy. I like that I get a follow-up confirmation and a reminder prior to my appointment. When arriving in the impeccably clean service area, I am always met with a smile and a friendly "Hello". I was quickly checked in and headed to the very nice waiting area. They always have chilled water and coffee/tea and prior to COVID... a few snacks and fresh fruit to enjoy. Hopefully those come back in the near future. While waiting, I received a text which included a link to a walk-around video the Service Tech had taken of my car on the lift. He pointed out the good and the "needs attention" areas. That was new and I thought it was a GREAT idea and an easy way for me to see what he was talking about. As it was, my rear brakes were at the minimum which was pointed out in the video. In addition to the 40K service, I had them go ahead and do the brakes. I always get a freshly washed car back and I was on my way. Not sure how it could have gone any better. Thank you, Kline Volvo!

    I have all of my service done with Mike Henderson at Kline. He is always professional, friendly and pleasant! I trust him to explain everything to me in easy to understand terms, and I know that I am getting what I need for my XC60 at a fair price. I greatly appreciate his customer service attitude.

    We had our XC90 Volvo towed here after an emergency breakdown while my husband was driving cross-country. We had to communicate to them via phone so we trusted that they knew what was wrong and that they had fixed the issue. We got an $800 bill and paid thousands to have our car shipped out to where we live in Washington. They unloaded the car and the service vehicle light was still on and the car was not fixed. However, they do still send us a holiday gift certificate for $50 off, so 1 star.

    Spent $54k on a “brand new” 2022 Volvo XC60 and after it was delivered to me, once I figured out the settings and how to change the display, I discovered that there were over 800 miles on the vehicle! I would never had purchased the vehicle had that been disclosed to me. Kline will lie cheat and steal to get your business. Once I placed a deposit on the vehicle I became a zero as far as being a priority or having any say in anything whatsoever and they’re the only dealer I’ve ever done business with that has a no refund policy on deposits. They are the 2nd worse dealership I’ve ever worked with. Considering filling a complaint with the BBB.

    Mike Hendrickson: is the best service writer at the Volvo in Maplewood. Mike always strives for excellence and achieves above and beyond expectation. I have been working with him over seven years… I own a 2016 XC 90 and he has never lead me astray on maintenance and always has my best interest when it comes to needed repairs. The most important is his communication skills and I trust he will not lead me wrong. Thank you Mike!

    Overall disappointing. The sales person was great when selling the vehicle. But that's where it ends. I called my sales rep and told him about all the issues with my XC60. He said he would talk to his sales manager, but then I never received a call back. I called him again. I was told he would talk to his manager at 10:30am and call me back. I never received a call. I then called to talk to the sale manager. You can't leave a message because the message center is down. The service department didn't answer when I called after 7am. I left a message, and no call back The Kline sales manager finally called me back. She did very little to solve my 2022 XC60 many issues. I went to the dealer ship in St Louis Park and they have been great. If you really want a Volvo, go to St Louis Park. I have been there 4 times, and they have been great.

    Ahhhh where do i begin. After sorting through this dealerships low ratings, i still decided to tow in my S40, because i lost my keys. I purchased a $200 key from this dealer , and paid $150 for programming. Once I arrived to pick up my car after they were done, a staff member stated "your car won't start due to your ECM, and TCM not communicating properly" I declined their service to fix the issue, which was $175 just to diagnose it. I ended up fixing the problem myself by going to an auto parts store spending only $10 for a fuse that was missing from the proper slot. After putting in a simple fuse for my ECU, and TCU, my car started! They claim they checked the fuses, and all of them were okay, on my invoice receipt....needless to say I'm glad they showed how they disregard, and lack integrity, and don't live up to Volvo's standards. If the service staff lies for a minor issue like a fuse, imagine their sales department. I decided to not speak to any Kline Volvo staff after fixing my car in their parking lot, because if they are willing to be deceptive, and lie with confidence, it's best to just use this as a learning lesson, and warn others about their practices. Business is better when you don't have to lie to make money. This review is not for this dealer, but for any other Volvo guest, who will be lied to, and potentially be taken advantage of.Try to find any other alternative before coming here. They know all they need to do is to put in a fuse, but they couldn't resist trying to potentially charge me hundreds. I'm glad all I had to do was spend $10 to fix the issue. Kline is just another dealership, and has no relation to Volvo's Customer Care. If they treat their guests like this, I can't imagine their work culture. This was no simple mistake. I had my car serviced on 4/7/2022 at 845am. -Chala D.

Upon reviewal of your visit, it’s noted here that your vehicle was towed into the dealership due to lost keys. We placed an order for a new key and programmed the key to your vehicle. The technicians mentioned that the car did not start, even with a new key & programming in which they reached out to you for approval to move forward with further diagnostics. The next step to figuring out why the car wasn’t starting, was to perform a diagnostics test to uncover any potential issues, however, our team cannot move forward with diagnostics without the vehicle owners approval. It was mentioned that diagnostics could take up to an hour and up to a charge of $175, however, if the diagnostics only took ten minutes, you could only be charged for that time, not the full hour. Per your request, you declined the diagnostics test so our team wasn’t able to move forward with servicing your vehicle. We are happy to see you figured out the issue and the vehicle is back up and running!

    Where’s the “hustle” at car dealers generally these days and specifically at Kline Volvo? We weren’t greeted by anyone as we walked past service, the front desk and past sales offices to an XC 90 SUV. We spent 10-15 mins kicking tires in the floor model yet all sales people sat in their offices staring at their computers. One finally came out to fill his water bottle and asked as an afterthought if we had questions. While I don’t appreciate high pressure sales, apathy at my presence motivates me to turn around and go to Lexus or Mercedes Benz. Maybe in 6 months they’ll be sufficiently hungry again as market conditions shift to be more attentive. I like Volvos but I doubt we’ll buy from Kline if we decide to trade in our current car.

    If you decide to get a trailer hitch for a XC60 at Kline Volvo think twice. This is how it looks like now that it's "installed". Our service manager told us "that's just how they do it". Really? This looks to me like someone quickly carved it out with a knife. And they didn't even bother sanding it down or cleaning it up. And there are scratches around it. VERY POOR JOB - we are VERY disappointed with the quality of work done on the 2017 XC60 we bought last year from Volvo. Call from service manager is still pending at this time. Update: The service manager called me and replaced the bumper cover right away, I appreciate that. It' just unfortunate that @Volvo doesn't make a cover for the trailer hitch of the XC60.

    I brought my ageing XC90 in for some diagnostic work which they performed in a timely manner while they made me feel quite at home. Service is all about serving the customer and that is where Kline Volvo excels. While I am not going to have the repairs done at this time, I now know exactly what the problems are, what it will cost, and how to maximize the remaining life before the repairs have to be done. Couldn’t ask for more – Thanks for Outstanding Service!

    I do not write reviews, but I had such a great experience that I am. If I could give 10 stars I would. I recently bought a used vehicle from them that wasn't a Volvo. I honestly read the reviews prior to choosing which dealership I would go too. I had found a similar price/vehicle but the dealership had less positive reviews then Kline Volvo so I went with them. We worked with Owen, he had the car out and ready prior to my arrival. He was very pleasant and not pushy at all. He was very responsive with any questions or when we need to communicate with him. We got to test drive it home and came back the next day to purchase it. We financed through the dealership and their rates where just as good as what I was independently looking at. Mike the used sales manager was very pleasant as well to work with. He was able to make our set budget price work. The whole process took about 1.5 hours. The real gem here at this dealership is they CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AFTER THE SALE OF THE CAR. We had something come up within a week of purchasing our car. They took care of us with a loaner car, delivered it to our door even, drove our car back to the dealership till they could look at our car, took care of the problem, delivered it back and picked up their loaner. (This service is amazing especially when you have little kids 3/5yrs old.) Owen our salesman also delivered/dropped off the cars. I have never been partial to any dealership when buying a car, but I would 110% recommend working with these wonderful people at Kline Volvo and if and when I need a new vehicle I will be looking at them first.

    I've always enjoyed having our Volvos serviced at Kline. That's why we drive 90 minutes for even normal service items. We are always treated like honored guests. I arrived 3 hours early for my appointment because it worked better for me; I just planned to hang out and work in the waiting area because it works for me in these situations. Scott was able have my vehicle looked at earlier and have serviced and a couple of issues fixed and have me on my way before my original appointment time came around.

    Buyer beware; my garage kept 5 year old (just off warranty) Volvo has an interior chrome issue they won’t accept responsibility for at dealer or corporate level. If a car manufacturer can’t make the simple cosmetic parts well how can we trust the safety? ETA 2/2020 attempted to find a used part to replace this and found that ALL the volvo cars in salvage have the same or worse condition. Mine is not an isolated incident and Volvo has no desire to replace after many requests.

    As always, when I called Kline Volvo for a service appointment to investigate a dashboard alert, my service representative - Bo Dunaski offered me several choices for service the next morning. I arrived at the dealership 15 mins early, and Bo had my vehicle in a service bay immediately. Within the hour my issue was resolved and I was on my way. I have purchased two vehicles from Kline Volvo in the past 6 years and have experienced the same quality service each and every time.

    Owen, one of the dealership’s specialist, drove a car out personally to our home almost an hour away from their location in order for us to test drive a car. He was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle we were driving and also of the brand in general.     Avoid Kline for your repair needs. I was advised that I would save money by completing two connected repairs. They charged me over $1,400 in labor for 2.75 hours of actual work performed. I raised this issue of being overcharged with the service department to the highest level of management only to be dismissed and ignored. Kline does not value or respect their customers. I will be servicing my Volvo elsewhere- with a company that is actually honest and reputable.

We want to mention that Kline Volvo, like most auto repair facilities, uses a published book time for billing repairs (the book times our set by the manufacturers) . Our billing practice is consistent where owners of their vehicles are not charged more if a job takes longer than the published time in the book for example if a four job took a technician six hours you would be billed for fours instead six . We choose to use two technicians on your job to be completed faster. That is how we are able to get your repair done in 2.75 hours with that being said we are paying two technicians for one job. Our team did offer you a $290.00 discount on the repairs made, along with a $200 store credit.

    I had a great experience with Charlie Mankowski and Kline Volvo in general and highly recommend them to everyone. Kline is much farther away from my home than the other Twin Cities Volvo dealer, but it became clear very early on in the process that Kline was a much better dealership. Charlie was always very respectful and helpful to both me and wife throughout the entire purchase process. He responded to our phone calls and emails very quickly and was always full of information. We really enjoyed working with Charlie and the Kline dealership throughout the entire process and will go back to the for all my purchases in the future. I've also been very happy with the car and the service I've received after the purchase.

    I recently had the pleasure to purchase a used vehicle from Jeremy. He was so wonderful to work with! I can not say enough good things about him. This was no where near his biggest sale- and no one would've ever known with the quality of his work. He was attentive, responsive, helpful and patient. I had a few minor requests about the vehicle that I thought needed some attention and I was not holding my breath they would ever be addressed.     Sales was great but when it comes to service, not so much. Our new XC90 is not running properly and they are multiple weeks out on both service and loaners. If you buy from them, just make sure you you have a good backup vehicle or are prepared to pay for a rental for a few weeks out of your own pocket. And don’t try complaining about it because it’s not their responsibility if you don’t have a car to drive for the better part of a month.

    Horrible Experience. John Rogers is likely the worst sales person I have ever worked with. From the entire experience I was treated like a number and not a person. There were commitments made that were broken, wrong information given, attitude when I asked for information. When I picked up my vehicle it took over two hours because customers that walked in off the street were given priority --eve though I had an appointment. John also moved on to new customers before I even left the dealership i.e. once he got his commission he didn't care about me any more. It was clear he doesn't care about relationships. I would never use this dealership ever again. This was my first experience with a Volvo--and while I love the car--the experience from Kline was awful. I even took some time after obtaining my vehicle to write this review to allow my self to calm down--and even a month later the treatment that I received still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

    Rarely do I take the time and effort to write a review of anything. If I do, it is usually to provide positive feedback and promote a product I love. In this case, I am taking the time and effort to write a negative review because the matter involves something of importance and something rather expensive. With that in mind, here are my thoughts. Occurrences during my recent vehicle purchase that negatively shaped my opinion of Kline Volvo: • Sales did not disclose that the vehicle only had one key fob and second one would cost me $400. In fact, when this information was ascertained and I stated I should have a discount and asked why they did not disclose the missing fob, their response was, “You didn’t ask.” Fair, but deceptive and not the best customer service. It left me with the question of what else were they hiding? • Sales was also purposely dishonest about paperwork informing me that one document stated that, by signing, I would be acknowledging that Kline Volvo would not disclose my personal information to any third parties when, in fact, the document clearly stated that their intention was to disclose my personal information to third parties. • When I collected my vehicle, the new tabs which I purchased from the dealership were neither applied to the plates or given to me. I needed to return later when I noticed the error. • The vehicle I purchased was used and sales informed that it had been inspected and I was told the vehicle was in great shape without any issues. When I had the vehicle inspected by a third party, it was discovered that the air and cabin filters had probably never been replaced, the rear brakes were in need of replacement and the windshield was beginning to crack. I tested the waters by bringing up the crack in the windshield. Kline never followed up on the matter. • Repeatedly, Kline Volvo spelled my name wrong on documents and my name is not even complicated. I needed to go over everything three times to make sure there were no errors. • Still, when my title came in the mail, it was delivered to a neighbor because they got my address wrong. Kline refused to correct the mistake which resulted in me going to the DMV to fix it myself. All along the way, Kline Volvo made obligatory apologies, but never really addressed any of the issues. They just shrugged their shoulders in a oh well, that’s the way it is manner. The reality of the situation is that it was a tough market. Used cars were in limited demand and Kline had the vehicle that I was looking for. In this type of market, I needed to make compromises that I would not normally make. The sum total of Kline’s poor attention to detail along with actual deception has certainly tarnished their reputation with me and I thought other potential customers should know as well.

At Kline Volvo, all of our pre owned vehicles are inspected and up to inspection standards as well as passed by the Minnesota guidelines for the sale of the vehicle. By our records of the vehicle you purchased, all mechanical and safety aspects were inspected and up to the standards. Note that for our pre owned vehicles, we do not inspect maintenance items, in which the cabin filter would be considered a maintenance item. As for the additional key, it wasn’t brought to our management’s attention that you were wanting an additional key. Please reach out to our pre owned manager so we can try to get that resolved for you the best we can.

    BUYER BEWARE! Kline Volvo sells maintenance packages then doesn’t follow through with its promises. I have used our maintenance package to have our oil changed 4 times in two of the Volvos we owen. Each time they picked the car up, dropped off a loner and changed the oil and brought back the car. Now I call and they tell me that I have to pay for $500 4 year maintenance package. Paying for stuff I don’t need. When I complained the manager called back and said well you could do the 10000 mile package for 200 and again was charging me for stuff I don’t need. If I did not agree to pay for these unneeded “repairs” then they would not honor our full maintenance package we paid for. This is a change in policy (they denied) and not what the salesman sold us or what we have experienced in the past. When I asked for a prorated refund I was basically told to pound sand. So BEWARE OF KLINE VOLVO IN MAPLEWOOD, MN. Dishonest business and horrible customer service.

Per the documents, the Valet Pickup is not valid for just an oil change. Volvo does cover the first three services for three years/30,000 miles whichever occurs first. From our records, we can see that those services have been used or expired. The first three services were complimentary through Volvo Cars USA and there was no additional charge for that. Per your service request in 2021, the vehicle was picked up and due for the 40,000 miles service and since the service was declined by you, we comp’d the service and only charged you for an oil change at that time.     Burned 3 months of my time while holding on to my deposit. Called corporate one day to figure out what was going with my overseas delivery order ( 1 month with no confirmation to start trip planning) and they said it didn't even exist. Came to find out that the dealership was aware of this for weeks and didn't bother to tell me. Was told to 'still plan on it' multiple times and to keep my July 13th travel date to Sweden -- so what happened? 3 more weeks of being dragged around - apparently they have no working relationship with Volvo headquarters to find any remedy. There was not even an option to be on a priority list for a 2023 vehicle despite having done nothing wrong on my end as a customer! Corporate said they have never seen an issue like this come up before and it was up to Kline to find a solution. Kline management was not up to the task. So I ordered a Tesla Model Y (customized and ordered in 2 minutes on my phone). After owning a Tesla model 3 and putting on 50k miles Im sorta laughing about giving a volvo a chance (govt EV rebate, that's why) it's clear that the business model of traditional car dealerships is archaic/outdated; this will go extinct soon enough when car companies operate like Tesla and move to 'direct to consumer' purchasing as it's more cost friendly to customers.

    I was at volvo last friday. The front desk lady, older woman with short black hair and glasses was so rude. Her attitude made it seemed she was talking down to me and another customer. I was in shock by the way her tone was. She was also so rude to a service worker. A service member looked at my car real quick because it was a simple fix. I was relieved how nice the service worker was. But I doubt I will ever come back. I asked the service worker if she was always like that and he said she don't like the color of our skin. Hope things change.

    Sales is great, but service is disspointing. Brought my car in to get looked at , they kept it all day, called at the end of the day and returned it to me with the back torn apart and not put back together, an additional yellow warning light and an estimate that the repair could be $250 or $2500. When I let the service manager know what happened , he brushed me off and clearly didnt care

The vast range in repair is due to a software/hardware issue.     Kline Volvo service is awesome! I have serviced my 2010 Volvo XC60 there since I purchased it. Now my car has over 150K and I love the 15% off of all service because of my mileage. I use to get my tires and batteries elsewhere - because of the cost. But I've changed to Kline because they are very attentive and prices are about the same. Bo Dunaski, my service provider, is always helpful and squeezed me in last week when I needed an urgent battery replacement. It is nice to have a relationship with your provider.

    I stumbled upon purchasing the XC40, as I had already built my BMW and was going to purchase at the turn of the year. I was contemplating the price point upon comparison and felt like the Volvo was a way better deal (after spotting an XC40 at Target). I initially spoke with Tim, who was phenomenal.     I recently purchased an xc90 from the dealership, they were very responsive till the vehicle was purchased but after that they don't even bother to answer any questions. I don't bother people if not necessary, my plates were not transferred even after 2 weeks of purchase when I called them They tell me I have to sign an other document and have to come to the dealership to do that . When I tried calling my sales person(worked with the sales manager Mellisa ) she ignores my emails and phone calls , if you're gonna purchase a vehicle with them Good Luck.
