Had such a great stay this past weekend! Everything was perfect from the moment we got to the hotel to checking out the next morning. The staff is super friendly and helpful; they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is very modern and trendy and our room was immaculate with a great city view. We got a chance to eat at the pop up restaurant Olivetta downstairs. The food there was so good! The bar also had great cocktails; they definitely don't skimp on the alcohol so it's well worth the money.

Not really 5 star. Staff not attentive or interested at all. Maybe that’s because the 20% tip is compulsory? No drinks service by the pool. Music comes on and off in restaurant and pool. Front desk polite but not well informed or on point. Very four star boutique. Design of the hotel very cool though. Just feels like the staff can’t be bothered in most cases.

The was my first time staying at a Kimpton & I must say the La Peer team was amazing: the restaurant staff remembered by daily chai & was beyond accommodating. The rooms were clean, was pleasantly surprised during check-in selecting my housekeeping preferences. All the above and the location might just become my LA go to!! Bravo to the entire team at La Peer for making me feel welcome.

I booked to stay at the hotel for a week and this is not a five star hotel. It is a solid 4 star boutique hotel without any of the five star amenities or common elements. The staff is generally apathetic and it feels as though I am bothering them whenever I approach them to ask a question - I haven’t even asked for any substantive requests, my inquiries are things like “where can I get a late meal” or “where can I get an early coffee” and they seem generally annoyed about being approached. Cleanliness is also a solid mid level rating - it should be absolutely spotless if you are claiming to be a 5 star but there are water spots on the mirror, clothing tags in the room left behind by the previous guest etc. Oh and no coffee before 7am. Hotel restaurant bar staff also quite lacking in service - he was so busy chatting it up with one patron that he completely forget to take our order or follow up. I waited forever and finally just walked up to the bar and placed my own order for my table and brought the drinks back to my table myself. If the hotel didn’t claim to be a 5 star with the corresponding price tag, I might have been more generous with the rating but I expected a 5 star hotel with 5 star staff and the experience fell short of this expectation. If the staff were more hospitable, this could have been a better experience. It is mind boggling to me that hospitality professionals are this apathetic and lacking in… hospitality.

Good location but very thin walls. Can hear every hallway sound and the courtyard music and noise goes late into the evening. Staff unable to accommodate a request to switch rooms.

No pet fee!! Very nice hotel. Wish the pool was open...if it was open it definitely wasn't cleaned. Would stay here or at any kimpton hotel again

Not a 5 star hotel. This is more of a 3 star. Room was dirty, I asked to move and the second room was even dirtier than the first one. Soda sprayed on desk / wall, hair on the bed and dust and dirty walls. I moved to a different hotel an hour later as the front desk didn’t seem to have any room that was clean. Rooms have a view of a construction site and parking lot.

Really annoying place. Coffee or tea before 7 am? No way. The big standard double rooms have windows, but you can’t open them. It’s a REAL no go for European people. Nice staff, but pretty limited in their service. The location is abolutely fabulous and the outdoor amenities too. But who can enjoy a hotel where you get no sleep due too bad air in the room. Sorry that killed my stay

This is the loudest hotelroom we have ever stayed at in our lives. The club noise goes directly into the room and there’s a private club above the room so you get sort of a double dose of noise from below and above. Then starting at 7 AM there is a doggy daycare next door that starts barking very loudly all day long until the evening when the club starts again. We booked the penthouse suite and an adjoining room. Called twice to reconfirm that we had the adjoining room. At check-in they told us that they had no record of our request even though our booking showed it and wouldn’t give us the adjoining room for our young daughter. They then told us that it was impossible to book the adjoining room to the penthouse suite even though there is an adjoining room to the penthouse suite. I asked them why they had an adjoining room if you couldn’t book it and they got very quiet and started trying to change their story. Strongly recommend you stay somewhere else! Staff was very nice but you could definitely do much better elsewhere!

Excellent service and hotel. We loved how they welcomed us. The girl at the front desk made sure we got a glass of wine even when we had just missed happy hour. One of the workers there let us out into the roof to enjoy our glass of wine. Such incredible views !! The gym was also open by reservation and the food was so good too. I highly recommend this classy and friendly hotel. Thank you Kimpton La Peer !

Completely unserious “5-star” property. I’ve never in my life been bothered by noise in a hotel room, and the music from the rooftop event space makes it beyond impossible to sleep. This place is like a wannabe Mondrian with higher prices and worse noise isolation, and I think the Mondrian is a dump - so that isn’t saying much. Service in the bar was terrible, room was probably nice when it opened but shows way too much wear and tear for the price point. Anybody who thinks this even approaches 5-star territory is deranged. It’s a party hotel - do what you will with that. If you want an actual 5-star experience, stay at the London or the ex-Viceroy.

Charged $387.50 for honor bar from previous guest. Called for credit and I still has not been corrected. Bathroom door only opened 1/2 way. Hotel bar closed early. Only dining at hotel restaurant with reservations. Room service closed early.

Oddly enough, I was one of the very first guests to stay here. I actually was the very first room service order - it was good. We rented the entire hotel for a month long event just before they opened to the public. The staff is excellent and very nice people. Even with our event and grand opening woes, they did a great job. Great place to stay.

Cannot recommend this stylish hotel enough. The whole staff is so kind and accommodating. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness made this place feel like home. Michael at the front desk went above and beyond to help coordinate anything we needed. Thank you again

This was the worst Kimpton we have stayed in. From the start, we booked a suite with adjoining room for our children. When we arrived, the extra room was on the same floor but more than 20 rooms away. We had to all cram in to the suite. We asked for more than 2 towels provided 4 times and never got them over 2 days. We would have to use hand towels. This included us even going to front desk and asking. Finally, the bathroom was in poor condition with pieces of the flooring in the shower missing and mold on the ceiling. I feel the location was great, but service and hotel conditions were lacking.

Not a 5-star hotel. The staff is not helpful and/or attentive. For instance, I checked-in at 8:30pm and asked if they had a restaurant and/or room dining: “Yes we have both.” Went to the room and walked back down at 9:05pm and the folks at the restaurant said they’re closed (they couldn’t care less), and, I kid you not, the same person at the check-in desk says: “Yes, restaurants and in-room dining both close for the night at 9pm.” He didn’t seem to care either. I interacted with other folks on the staff and it’s not a good vibe.

Terrible experience. Paper thin walls- way too noisy. Dirty hallways that stayed unkept. Housekeeping opened my door while I was still in the room at 8am. No one did anything to help me . Seemed more like a 1 star hotel with 4 star prices

My jewelry was stolen from the front desk valet storage. It was well in excess of $5,000. If you are going to leave your luggage make sure it is locked. All they did is check room keys, but I was already checked out. I have not heard one word for follow up! If this happens to you, you need to file the police report at West Hollywood Police Department.

This hotel was recommended to me by the travel concierge with American Express because of its status with their “Fine Hotels & Resorts” program. Considering the fact that the location was superior and the rates were very competitive, it was a no-brainer. Upon checking in, I was pleasantly surprised to encounter what I would consider to be the nicest hotel I’ve stayed in for quite some time. I had a terrace king room and it was very spacious and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable and commanded me to sleep more than I’m used to. In typical Kimpton fashion, the design was quirky but comfortable with a very high-end feel. Last, all of the staff was very friendly, welcoming, and professional.

Just checked in. Woman behind reception desk very friendly and knows her hotel! No in-room coffee though so that was disappointing. Showers nice. Requested hot water kettle but never came. Restaurant server for breakfast was very nice. Breakfast was also delicious.

This is not a 5 star hotel by any standard. The rooms are the nicest part, but I’d still only give them a 4 max. You’re only paying for location. First of all, we weren’t able to book a room with two beds online, so we called and were told no problem (they said the reason we weren’t able to book 2 beds is because their website didn’t have the capability to choose 2 beds until recently, but that we would have 2 queen beds). Upon check-in, they had no record of that phone call and said all the double rooms were booked. The only consolation was that we could switch rooms the following night so we begrudgingly agreed. Next day comes and they said they couldn’t switch our room and said we should have booked a double in the first place (!!!). Speaking of check-in, I got there at 5pm and another family was checking in in front of me and the hotel said their room wasn’t ready yet…. At 5:00pm… In addition, I don’t know if the housekeepers are short staffed or something, but apart from the rooms the hotel is filthy. All the floors are so dirty. Staff is dismissive and unhelpful. Pool is very unremarkable. They are just so so far from being a 5-Star hotel. Do not book here if you want anything above a 4 star room or 2 star service. I’ve never stayed in a Kimpton before and I won’t be finding out if the others are any better.

Loved my stay but just be aware if you're sharing a room: the bathroom doors have giant gaps so you can hear all the sorts of noises you don't want to hear when you're sharing a room with someone ☺️🙃. Other than that it was fantastic and all the staff are super friendly lovely people who made our stay magical.

When I come to LA I always stay in 5* hotels, but this is way far from 5 stars. Between 3-4* yes, shower head leaking and it makes all floor wet, bed 🛏️ feels like some DAYS INN quality, so if you want good sleep, not the right place. Be careful of hidden fees, make sure you check your charges. I
