I purchased a used car and was advised of the list price and monthly payment amount. On closing I was advised by the finance department Zalo it "comes with a 3 year warranty" however he never went over terms interest rate or any of the paper. Instead signature lines appeared on a screen and I was told to sign here. Only when a few weeks later I was attempting to refi with a personal loan for much less interest did I see the numbers weren't what I was told by the sales person only to find out the warranty wasn't "included" I was buying it for almost $4K! The warranty company agreed to cancel but needed paper from the finance guy which they emailed me and I handed to Zalo. 9 phone calls later and 2 personal visits I'm still paying for a policy I was not advised I was buying and was cancelled 4 months ago. Zalo keeps saying he will take care of it and doesn't dispute the fact I should see a principal balance reduction but he never has taken care of it. Now I have damages as the interest rate has gone up and I can no longer get the low rate of 4 months ago. Beware consumers. It's obvious I need to go beyond trying to work this out in house.

He even texted me videos of the car I was interested in. The customer service I received was top notch! He was able to get my car shipped over in one week! Wow, I’ve never had such a positive used-car buying experience! I couldn’t be happier with the care I was given - even when I was having a ‘blonde’ moment and thought that there was something wrong, Ben and the guys in the shop took extraordinary care with me. Thankfully there was nothing wrong and I have my beautiful new truck! You guys are amazing! Mahalo!

We were looking for this specific vehicle for a while and finally found one here. Unfortunately the previous one we were looking into was sold. I was notified that there was another vehicle in and when we went to take a look at it, it was in service and we could not take it for a test drive. While my boyfriend did ask what was done to the car the service tech listed everything that was brand new and mentioned a blow off valve. Which we thought ok the mechanics part about it sound good. We did start up the car and i did mention that the smell of the exhaust was strong and it was a concern. I asked when the oil was changed and they mentioned it was recently and was also told it was because we were in a building. We decided to get the car and the first day we picked it up and drove into town the TPS light came on. So we went to put air in the tires and check the pressure for all four tires. The light still did not turn off and this was on the FIRST day of having the car… after having the car for 5 days the check engine light comes on. We took it in to get it diagnosed and found out that there is an aftermarket exhaust system and that it needs a cobb accessport and tuning which will be about $720 for the part not including labor fees. Now all we asked was is it possible to sell back the car? Even if it’s lower than what we financed? Which was a no go and can understand. My boyfriend however asked that because we were unaware that there was an aftermarket exhaust system can we just pay for the part and not be charged the labor fees seeing as though we only drove it a total of 4 times since we’ve got it. It seems like our request was impossible to accomplish so we decided nevermind there’s no point. Lesson learned maybe we should’ve test drove the car first but seeing as though we were looking for this specific type of model for a while and due to the pandemic we didn’t know when we would get an opportunity like this again. We decided to trust these guys and get it. Dont get me wrong they were cool nice people but when it came to our problems and finding a simple solution it just was not happening and felt like we were being passed from one to the other. I like the friendly vibes but i dont think I’ll be recommending kihei auto or looking for another vehicle from them for a while.

I talked with Ben yesterday on the phone and told him what I was looking for. I figured it would take awhile but he called me early this morning and set up an appointment. He was busy when I arrived but he set me up with a test drive and showed me several features the car offered. He remembered what I was looking for (not white) and I was immediately sold on the car. At no time did I feel pressured and everyone in the office was friendly and helpful. This encounter was unlike any car sales experience I have ever had. The staff were prepared and very thorough. From start to finish it took 3 hours and that included a ride home while they detailed my car and Ben dropping it off at my house. Now I call that good service!! I highly recommend this company and will spread the word.

My husband and I live on Kauai and within less than a month of dealing through Ben from Kihei Auto Sales we now have our dream truck !! He helped us with all questions and concerns, and was always available to get in touch with, which was extremely important to me as a customer especially being that we reside on a different island. We just recently bought a family car from Kihei auto sales. Rex was the best car salesman I’ve ever met. We test drove the car and spent a week of back and forth deciding if the car was the right fit. Rex was very helpful, honest, and patient answering all of our questions and overall maintaining a great attitude. Eventually we bought the car and at the end of the sale he gave us a gift basket! Couldn't have asked for a smoother, faster, easier car buying experience! I sold cars for a year on Oahu so I know how frustrating it can be. Rex was great, his boss was the desk manager and finance manager. I saw the ad on Craigslist. Sent a text to Rex, we did some negotiating. I went in for a test drive and final negotiation. I paid cash so it was easy but even still most dealers you'll be there for a while. They were as fast as you can ask! Very fair price and negotiation! Highly recommend! Nice gift basket at the end too!
