Not only are the staff at this branch extremely rude and unhelpful FHB in general needs to come out of the 1990s. We will be closing our business and personal accounts after misleading information from their staff.

This place has gone downhill with service. The Wailea Branch was much better. This branch in Kihei needs to expand hours to serve the customers when is convenient for us!

Absolutely useless! I can’t believe that a bank could be this unknowledgeable and yet manage to waste your time in the way they did or me. I just wanted to figure out a way to wire money to the mainland and they kept me waiting for over an hour trying to figure out their own system of opening up accounts to tell me that they have know idea how long it would take. Thanks first bank of Hawaii!

I dont go to this bank very often. But I have had a negative experience when I go there. If you want to be treated with respect and be helped by efficient employee, I recommend Bank of Hawaii where I also have an account, and it's such a big difference in service. They treat you like you are royalty, and make things easy for you. First Hawaiian Bank is outdated, they make things so extremely complicated, the employees at the branch in Kihei are rude and incompetent. They treat you like you're bothering them. And if you try to call the branch, forget about it. They will never answer the phone. Never once did they answer the phone when I tried calling. I just avoid going to this branch at all. Not a pleasant experience.

Been banking there awhile and they still dont even know who my wife or I am?? Always asking for ideas and multi level identity verification.. thought this was hawaii and local ohanas.. they act like I'm a complete stranger every time... it's pathetic and time consuming when having to prove that i am my self to them everytime. We explain to them how we want our accounts handled and they disregard our wishes and do things how they want no matter what... disgusting

I came in to have some documents notorized today. There was no sign up sheet, just a clear acrylic stand with a sign reading “Make An Appointment For Notary” without specifying where or how to. I took a seat and a woman came out to help but apparently there was a guy in front of me (had no idea there was a line, as there was no sign up sheet). Okay. So I waited and once they were done she motioned at me to sit at her desk. I needed to have some documents notorized and she gave me the run-around. She kept asking me if I had an account there - what difference does it make? I was willing to compensate her for her services irregardless of my bank account status. I actually had a truck loan through FHB in 2014 and I have an active credit card account thru FHB. Does that not count? Anyways, she refused to notorize my documents and she wasn’t very helpful in telling me what exactly did I need to procure for her to stamp my documents. Nothing what she was telling me was anything like what was written on my documents. I give 2 stars because the AC is always cranking in there. Helps keep you cool after losing your cool. There used to be such nice tellers that worked there 10-12 years ago. Not anymore. I’ll take my notary business elsewhere.

Just got back from this location and I'm still pretty upset. I was waiting on line and got called over to one of the business tellers (I don't know her name, wish I did). She was at best disinterested and dismissive. I don't have an account yet, so I was just cashing my payroll check. I know the protocols for doing so, and try to have everything done asap so I don't waste the teller's time. She asked me for my fingerprint on the check, even though it was already there. When she processed my check she tried to give me $40 and change, even though the check was for $540 and change. She claimed that she thought the 5 was a $ sign...... just wow. Her apology was at best hollow. I really wish I had waited for the normal tellers on Mondays (don't know their names either) but they're both great, very friendly, and never have trouble with them.

I’m 100% positive all the bad review are from transplants who don’t belong here and should go back where they came from. Stop complaining and deal with it. Or go back home. Simply as that

Aloha My name is Patricia Molina I work for Dr. Jonathan Thomas and I just wanted to say Kudos for hiring such a nice and personable young lady by the name of Vika. On several occasions I have needed documents notarized and Vika is always there. She is helpful and knowledgeable great asset to your bank. I think I am going to open a new account!

Wow, I don't think I've ever been treated so rudely by bank staff before, this visit was to establish a bank account. However I will be taking my business elsewhere.
