    We are so ecstatic with our new Telluride! We reached out to Earl who also helped us in purchasing a Kia Optima in 2013.     UPDATE. Unfortunately, our loyalty to this business is not appreciated. Some things have changed, I guess, and when we wanted to purchase our 10th KIA, we were disappointed. With the economy the way it is, I did my homework and knew the values of my car and the car we wanted. The offer for the same vehicle I received was $2500 higher than any I had seen online. I backed off and decided to shop around. ALL other quotes I received were, in fact, $2000-$2500 less than what KIA of Bowie quoted. I should not be surprised, but after purchasing so many cars from KIA of Bowie and being Loyal, I would think it would get you some manner of respect. But it is a shame. I did call my salesman and told him we were disappointed, but I didn't feel he listened. This review is not directed at KIA. We did drive 20 miles out of our way and bought our 10th KIA for $2000 less as expected. And in January we will buy our 11th and 12th. OLD review Love these guys. We have bought no less than 6 cars from them. And plan to return for more! Always feel the treat us right.

    Horrible experience!!! My wife had her credit ran for a car that’s about to be on the lot Thursday and they told her she would have to put a deposit down which was no problem at all. They then told her “oh sorry the car has already been sold” so they ran her credit on a car that has already been sold and then basically said yeah my bad I didn’t know…. This will now be on her credit report for 2 years because y’all couldn’t do your job correctly. I will be sending a very long email to not only Kia corporate but also the Better business bureau

    I made the mistake of buying my new KIA soul here and it's basically a lemon. All the manager could do is blame it on the manufacturer. I tried to make an appointment here as I bought my car here in 2020. Engine will turn off on the road. KIA Bowie told me there is something wrong in the computer system since the beginning when I got my oil changes done. I called to get it checked out now because of the engine issues and MAJOR recall issues. They said they may have to keep my car for up to a week but won't give me a loaner car until they can figure out what is wrong and even then I wouldn't find out if I can get one until I came in person for an appointment a month out. My car only has 12,500 miles btw so not any wear or tear that should be causing this much of an issue.

    A trip to the dealership, is like a box of chocolates.. you never know what you are going to get out of a salesperson; like my man Tom said LOL. They will smother you, be really arrogant or try to pressure you in buying something that you will regret. Well that was NOT my experience! MR. ANTHONY WILLIAMS is the REAL MVP. He is patient, promptly responsive in answering questions, provides detailed information, very tentative and stuck it out through the whole process. Even offered to come in on his day off. Some days I may have gave him “a hard time” but he was not phased by that and kept the 10000% GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE coming. Now that is what I call hard work and dedication. This man deserves a gold metal. Needless to say, he definitely made this experience a great and easy one and I thank him for that! Don’t forget to ask for the REAL MVP - MR. ANTHONY WILLIAMS!!!!!

    Earl Ward and later in the buying process Steve Hurline were both a pleasure to work with. Warm and welcoming as well as very professional and knowable about the KIA Stinger my wife and I end up leasing. They found a car that matched exactly what I was looking for and put together a deal that my wife and I were very comfortable with. Earl took the time to review all the technology in our new Stinger GT2 and even went as far as to set up the Satellite radio stations and make sure that my phone was set up properly before I drove off.     I am giving 5 stars for the outstanding service I received from Earl Ward. I called every Kia in the DMV to find a telluride in the trim I wanted for a reasonable price and after months of searching, Earl called me back after finding a car matching most of my wish list. He went above and beyond to help me get to the best value for my telluride,especially in the current market. I didn't feel pressured to buy my car and he answered all of my questions. After my purchase he followed up with me to make sure everything was going well and even sent me my tags since I didn't have time to come pick them up. He single handily is the reason I am a proud owner of a Kia. If you come to this dealership work with Earl, you won't regret it.

    My recent experience was sooo bad, I had to give it a 1 (for the 4 star review I wrote two YEARS ago keep reading. Ok so here’s the deal. I have been taking really good care of my 2019 RIO pandemic and all. After the first scheduled oil change I noticed the service started slipping. An oil change takes 3 hours OR MORE out of your day. Here is the kicker MY CAR BROKE DOWN!!!! 18,000 miles, I bought it BRAND NEW and the car starts bucking and exhaust comes out. I barley made it home. I call the service desk and not one person answered after calling back 3 times. Then I called the sales desk and asked for the Manager or General Manager. Of course I get someone. I am not going to call his name out but there was NO sense of urgency, the was told “I have seen brand new Mercedes go in for service with under 1k miles” not really what I needed to hear at that moment. He then went on to say the EARLIEST AVAILABILITY WAS FEB 28. Which means, no car for two weeks, get it towed, then they said it will take about a week to run diagnostics. Which means 3 weeks of no car and it has not even been serviced yet. I am sure there is a problem which means it would get dragged out for another 3 weeks. UNREAL. Come to find out, they only have about 4 service guys. Those poor guys are probably over stressed and over worked, so I am not blaming them. Even the Manager and other Manager I spoke with were nice enough, but he said keep driving until the engine light comes on “ it will make his job a lot easier” . Again…not what I wanted to hear. The service has really gone down hill. The bigger question is why in the world did my KIA break down after 18k miles and scheduled oil changes. FOUR STARS Frances and the customer service team were amazing.My first interaction with this dealership was a few days ago when I called out of the blue. I had been researching cars for months and was ready to take the next step. I called and Erik answered the phone. He was very nice and helpful. He informed me of the process and I decided to at least visit. When I arrived, I was introduced to Frances G. He did not put any pressure on me to purchase, and what I liked most is he guided me through the process! While waiting, I spoke with Don. He really seemed to enjoy his job from what I could tell by his interaction with the other customers. When Francis was ready to let me know about the next step, we both decided to be smart about the purchase. I have never purchased a new car before. Then Erik also discussed the up side of the car purchase. Francis and Erik were great listeners. They valued my concerns and respected my decision. It was such a great process. I really felt like I had an entire team wanting the absolute best for me, not just wanting to make a sale! Lani at the finance department was also very helpful whelile answering my questions! Thank you to the team at KIA of Bowie. One extra note. As a woman, I went by myself. This experience was nothing like the other dealerships. They wanted what was right for me as a consumer even if it meant not making a sale. I hope the review helps someone looking for a car!!

    I booked an appointment for a test drive and when I arrived I was greeted kindly and referred to Rogayatu who would be helping me. Rogayatu was very helpful, explained many things and very patient with all my questions. I was not planning to purchase a vehicle that day, but asked for the best price on the Sorento I drove. I was provided a sheet with the list price, multiple other line items and a total. When I asked what the best price was, Rogayatu is not allowed to do negotiating and I was told I'd have to wait for a manager. That's where the experience gets bad. The manager was busy, busy, busy. So I asked for a follow-up call since I had an appointment to get to. 6 days later I have not received that price. In a day where we can buy cars completely online and remote, I don't know why anybody buying a vehicle would put up with this. Sadly, I had a similar experience at another dealer in Bowie. I will be making my new car purchase at a dealer who can not play games and waste my time.

    My daughter visited this dealership on Saturday June 5th and found a vehicle she wanted. She told the salesman she would be back with the vehicle she wanted to trade in. No problem says the salesman. At 4 I'm clock she returned and was told the vehicle had been sold. Great customer service. I was going to look for a new car- it won't be from these folks. Don Collins

    They tried to price gouge me $10,000 on a Kia Telluride after the salesman told me before the test drive that there was no markup. Completely unacceptable. I hope they go out of business.

    Over the years I have come to dread going to a dealership to buy a car. Car salesmen have a bad reputation for hiking up prices, pressuring you to buy, and then nickle and dime you at the register over hidden fees. Not to mention, the entire process takes so long its an all day affair. I am no longer apprehensive of the car buying experience after working with the professionals at this dealership. As a salesman, Earl Ward is personable and savvy, and his amazing presentation skills made me feel like he was doing me a favor selling me the vehicle. He thoroughly went over every feature and answered every one of my questions about my Kia Sorrento. His manager Steve Hurline gave me the best deal. Danielle meticulously explained the warranty offerings, and the financing process was quick and efficient. This was hands down my best purchasing experience at any retail location (not just at a dealership). I suggest anyone considering a Kia, come to this dealership and ask for Earl Ward.

    We had been to a few dealerships in the area, on our quest to buy an electric vehicle. We looked at Hyundais and Volvos, but when we decided we needed to see this Kia EV6 in person, our search led us to Kia of Bowie, late on a Saturday afternoon. We asked simply to test drive it. I wasn't intending to buy that day. I hadn't even brought a checkbook for the down payment. Earl introduced us to the car, knowing exactly which features to point out, talking to me about it, and not just my husband! and answering all our questions. Then he sent us out on the test drive and when we came back, smitten, he didn't pressure us at all. A quick glance around the lot - with no other EV6s in stock, and a reminder that this one was available, was enough. The pricing was fair, and in line with market trends. I won't say "great deal" in this market - but I didn't feel taken advantage of, which is a great deal these days. Earl treated us exceptionally well, as did everyone else we interacted with. The dealership might have been a bit shortstaffed as it was a Saturday evening - but everything was done fairly quickly and we left happy, driving our new beautiful EV6. I would absolutely go back to Kia of Bowie - and look for Earl.

    If i could give this place no stars I would. Buyer beware and don' t waist your time here. There are good sales people here but the dealer overall doesn't exercise common logic. Kia vehicles are supposed to be affordable cars. This dealer marks up the vehicles 10-12k. This was not mentioned on their website and even when the sales rep called to confirm my appointment to come see a vehicle there was no mention of the greedy markups they charge. The reasoning they gave was do to vehicle shortages this is what they have to do to help pay the bills..smh. There are vehicle shortages everywhere, yet there are still many dealers not doing markups and if they are on something like a Kia it is minimal. The funny thing is this dealer will try to bait you in by saying they will give you more for your trade to help offset the dealer markup on the new car and then turn around and give you a lowball offer. People that buy from here are probably desperate or just don't know any better. Don't believe everything someone working at a dealer says. Especially this one. Take your time and look for dealers not doing markup. There are some in direct competition with this dealer in the same area that do not charge markup. Good luck with your vehicle search.

    The clerk tried to sell me a 600 dollar package on my car when I came in for maintenance even though I told him several times that I only wanted the insurance-recommended package. Then he asked me to look up the package in my owner's manual "just to be sure that I was getting what I wanted", which is deceitful, because I know that the dealership is supposed to know what the manual requires. I took a shuttle ride into town while they worked on my car, and it took them three and a half hours to rotate my tires and change my oil. They never called me back when they were done and I had to call them myself. When I came back, I walked in on the same clerk ranting at a woman for asking if she could pay with cash. Edit: I came back in to get my punctured tire replaced (they were my only option since I didn't want to drive on the freeway with a donut) and the same concierge ranted at me once he saw my review.

    Update: Rating changed from 1 star to 4 stars. Ryan, the service manager, ensured that my issue was corrected quickly & professionally. Thank you! In regards to the service department: I came in to have an oil change & a plastic bolt replaced in the under carriage that I noticed had been removed after a previous service visit. After requesting several times the bolt be replaced, I was told the bolt had been replaced during my checkout. My husband checked my car to verify since this was not listed on my invoice & there was still no bolt. When I called back to speak to a manager, I was told one was not available & to call back at a later time. I’m now leery that the services I have been paying for are being completed properly at this location.

    Easiest, fastest car buying experience so far! We have had some terrible experiences with car purchases in the past but Earl is the man! My husband had been working with him for weeks to surprise me with a 2022 Telluride and he delivered! It got delivered a few weeks early and my husband surprised me while we were out running errands one day and said, come on we are going to pick up your new car. I showed up at the dealership to pick up my vehicle and was in and out quickly! Earl gave me a through tutorial on my car's features (this thing is basically a computer on wheels!) and since I came out of a 2007 CRV with minimal bells and whistles, I needed all the help I could get. He got us a great price for my new car and trade in and has followed up with us though out the week to make sure we are happy and haven't had any questions that need to be answered.     Today I came to Kia of Bowie just to have my key fob programed. Was told to be here at 1pm. I b arrived at 12:45, turned over my fob to an Advisor and was told it would only take about an hour. An hour to program a key fob.... really?!! It's now 3:11pm and I'm still waiting.. SMH. The Advisor now says there were recalls on my 2015 Optima that they are taking care of. Well thanks... but couldn't someone have told me beforehand they were going service my vehicle before they started? So i would be prepared to stay the additional time.SMH. I also asked the Advisor 30 mins ago how much longer will I have to wait. Says he "will try" to find out how much longer, well the Advisor ha a not come back to let me know. again SMH!!!

    had to bring the car in because my kia died on the side of the road, I called about getting an appointment for it to get fixed thinking it was nothing, but then when I went out the car would rev to 8000 before even getting up to at least five miles per hour, and when I called today I was told I would be likely to be diagnosed by the end of the week, but the service manager say he was doing me a favor by moving my car up in the schedule because it was scheduled to be see in August, but now there is the issue, it seems like if you don't have an appointment or your car just dies on the road it is just not there problem even though it's still under warranty.

He went in after calling to make sure that someone was available to meet with us. We had in mind that vehicle that we wanted.     Customer service was excellent. One of the best dealer experience I have ever had in terms of customer service. I cannot give more than 3 stars due to how the dealership approaches trade-ins. The sales reps give false expectation management when trading in a vehicle. They state they will match other offers if they are higher than theirs but the match they make include the credit from sales tax. Matching credit from sales tax is a given. It shouldnt not he a surprise lump in. State up front that is part of the deal so customer can find elsewhere to do business where that is not the case

    EARL is the best of the best! If you are looking to purchase he is your guy! HOWEVER when it comes to the service side and getting work done on your car please do yourself a favor and run. I have experienced something going wrong every single time I get my car serviced here down to the tiniest thing such as an oil change. They have done the incorrect service on my car multiple times and attempt to still have me pay for it! Then have the nerve to call and ask me to complete a survey and I will get a “free oil change” next time due to the mistakes made. When I mentioned the free oil change I was told I had to mention it prior to them starting it.

    I went in to look at trading in my pick up for a Cross Over. I was very clear to my salesman Earl Ward that I wasn’t going to buy anything that day. He showed me a Sportage and made me an offer I could not refuse. He was very helpful and not high pressure. Due to a paperwork snafu paying off my trade ( not a Kia issue) poor Earl was with us to 10:30 pm. He was awesome, friendly, helpful and great to work with through out the whole deal. Even at 10:30 when we were all exhausted ( again a bank issue not Earl or Kia) he was in my new Crossover explaining all the features of my airplane like dashboard.     The lack of communication from the business to consumer is absolutely substandard. I have brought my vehicle to this location for maintenance on two different occasions, once in the winter of 2019 and once this month. On both occasions, the service team displayed such a lack of communication. Every time I spoke with an employee (it was very difficult to contact anyone because the phone was rarely answered) for an update, I was ALWAYS the one to initiate the call/conversation and was never contacted by the service department, even going up to a week without any notifications on the status or estimated timeline of completion. The first time I brought my car there, they had it for a total of three weeks and this month, they had it for almost five days. I decided to grab my car this time before it turned out to be there for another two weeks like last time. When I actually was able to get through to an employee via telephone (both occasions), they would tell me they would check on the status and call me back or have someone else call me back. Never once did I receive a return call. Again, I would have to initiate the call/conversation to just try and get a simple update. A majority of times when I would receive an update, the employee would give me a false timeline and the car was never ready the day they said it would be. The issue isn't how long they have my car, the problem is that NO ONE COMMUNICATES WITH YOU! I would much rather have them be upfront and honest and tell me they will have my car for three weeks, as opposed to feeding me false timelines. When I brought the car there this month, I was/am still having electrical issues and I scheduled an oil change. In the almost five days they had the car, only one person looked at the car (employee said they didn't even start looking at it until two days after I had dropped it off) and they were never able to confirm a diagnosis and they did not even change the oil. To be fair, I did pick the car up without them confirming it was completed but they were not giving me any updates, they hardly answer the phone, they never return phone calls and we are moving out of state in a couple of weeks so I don't have time to leave my car with them, as I am unable to rely on anything they say. The reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the employees have been polite.

    The service team at Kia of Bowie were absolutely phenomenal during yesterday's leasing of a delightful 2019 Sportage. From the warm greeting as I entered into the Showroom . . . to the handshakes and outstanding services provided by Earl Ward and the new Sales Associate (whose name presently escapes me); the entire experience far exceeded my expectations. The ladies who handled the financials (Tina, Jennie, and the very kind lady with the beautiful turquoise ring) were also instrumental in amenable service deliverables. Furthermore, Earl promptly notified me of items that were left behind in my trade-in vehicle! That level of service goes waaay above and beyond, and in my view, Mr. Ward should be the President of the President's Club! It was a great pleasure doing business with this dynamic group of people, which leaves a lasting impression . . . and I look forward to many miles of RRR in the future. : )

    I had driven a Kia Soul as a rental for 6+ months over the past 2 winters and had liked it. When it came time to finally replace my old Lexus I visited Kia of Bowie. My salesperson was Earl Ward, who was a huge help, as this was my first car purchase since I was widowed. Earl was very patient, answering all my questions over my 3 visits to their dealership! After I purchased my Soul, he helped me set everything up (the Navigation System, radio and SiriusXM, phone Bluetooth, Etc.) and went over the manual with me. Never any pressure. I will definitely recommend Earl and this dealership to my friends! Thank you, Earl!

    I received a safety recall in the mail stating that the fuel pipe in our sorento needed to be inspected because it may need to be "replaced or tightened with proper torque". I contacted Kia of Bowie's service department because a friend recommended them. I was told by the Kia representative that my appointment would take 3 hours (which I'm absolutely fine with), but my car could not be seen until late in the last week September. If it were something "minor", I would not have an issue. I see all the Kia cars on the road; I'm sure your service teams are busy. But the letter specifically says if this pipe leaks, there is an increased risk for fire and injury. I cant afford to wait 43 days with the risk of my family bursting into flames. I think what bothered me the most was that there was no attempt to help any further. No "let me check...". No "wow, I know that's a long way off...". No "let me offer another option...". I saw all the great reviews, and I wish I could add another one; but at this time I cannot. I gave 2 stars because they answered the phone.

    I had an overall positive experience at Kia of Bowie. As a first time car buyer I was anxious about what to expect during the negotiating and buying process but Earl eased all of those overwhelming emotions. He heard my needs and wants in a new, and delivered. He was also very helpful with all of my questions and concerns, even as much as giving me advice that he would recommended for his self. He connected me with Evelyn in the financial department and we were able to come up with the best possible solution for me. Everyone was very accommodating and personable. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone.

    My initial review didn’t highlight my overall experience with Kia. I was kinda rushing to get my review completed. Now that I’ve had wind down time, I’ve realized I just have to redo my post... My overall experience with Kia was just great! I am a first time buyer and was pretty hesitant on going to the dealership without my husband. However Earl Ward made the process so comfortable, I did not feel pressured whatsoever. After I completed my application online, I was contacted in a speedy manner regarding the car I was interested in. Went in the very next day and spoke with Earl Ward who was very kind, knowledgeable, and thorough throughout the whole process. Including Evelyn in finance, she made sure to take the necessary time I needed to understand everything she was breaking down to me as well as allowing me to ask as many questions needed.     My experience at Kia was amazing! This was one of my best car buying experiences, at no point to I ever feel pressured. Earl took his time and showed me all about the Sorento I was interested in. He even showed me under the hood and walked me through a few basics. Steve the finance manager explained the figures to me and worked a great deal for me right within the price range I wanted. Overall, extremely satisfied!!

    I purchased my 2021 Kia Sorento 6 mos ago and my transmission light came on. Called service center since I’m 50 miles away and they said they can’t see me until February. I asked for a rental and they said they didn’t have any. I asked should I drive my vehicle and they said they can’t tell me what to do. I had to call another Kia service they got me in on Tuesday and told me to call roadside assistance since it’s under warranty to have it towed. Wasn’t trying to be difficult but I have to work and wasn’t expecting the vehicle to break 6 mos into the purchase I would have thought it would have been a better service experience but had to call another dealership for that. I will call Kia corporation on Monday to express my feelings as a first time Kia buyer.

    When I went to KIA of Bowie I received speedy and fantastic service from our salesman Earl Ward. He knew the ins and out of what I was looking for and helped me find my car the same day.     Earl "The GOAT" - The Man on Your Side!! ...My soulmate and I came to Kia of Bowie to inquire on what was the latest & greatest and best choice for our budget seeing as COVID is continuously keeping us grounded in our home. We came with the pure intention to soak in information & test drive, but never did we imagine on closing the deal! However, Earl our salesman was amazing and truly got to know us and what vehicle would fit our needs. After spending time speaking with him and gaining the knowledge he has on Kia, the vehicle models, and financing options we knew we wanted to work with him and purchase a Kia that night. After purchasing the vehicle, Earl continues to reach out to ensure we are happy and bends over backwards to address any questions or concerns we may have.     I have been bringing my car in for service intermittently since June 11, 2021. My interactions with the service representative, Devin, have been pleasant. However, I brought my car in for an issue of it stalling randomly. I've paid a decent amount of money for you all to fix everything but my issue. My car has been in your possession for two weeks at a time throughout these past 3 months. My engine was replaced in March 2020 for the same issue. The first time my vehicle was "fixed" a crankshaft was replaced. Several days later, the issue presented itself again. The second time it was believed my air compressor was the problem, so it was replaced. 45 minutes after leaving the dealership, my vehicle stalled, hence not fixing the issue. I have been extremely patient, going without a vehicle every time I bring my car in. However, at this juncture my patience has run out. I refuse to pay another penny for you to fix all the issues EXCEPT the one I brought it in for. As stated, my interactions with Devin have been pleasant. My frustration is with the fact I keep paying to train your technicians on how to not fix my vehicle. As well as going without a vehicle every single time y'all "fix" my vehicle. Please let me know what can be done to rectify this issue, because frankly it is ridiculous that for 3 months I have yet to resolve the issue but have been inconvenienced. And at this point I feel taken advantage of. Thank you.

If you’re looking for a superb customer service Earl is your guy, he went above and beyond through out the whole process. They should give that man a raise.     I really did not want it to come down to this, but I have been waiting since August 22, when I purchased my car, to make a single appointment to go down and get my tags, get the second key fob (yes, some stranger has the second key to my car!), and get the scratches fixed that occurred at the dealership. The manager did contact me in the beginning to make a service appointment for the scratches; however, I have to travel pretty far and asked if we could wait until everything could be done at once. After 6 weeks I finally called them and my tags are in (why didn't they call me?) and was told that the manager would get back to me. I waited 4 days to call back and now they are saying they are not sure they have the second key fob and the manager, that may know about the key fob, is off until Friday. I need my tags because the temporary ones are going to expire soon. I really need that key fob because it is creepy that someone else has a key to my car (and just ordering another of the same one is not ok, because it still means that someone has a key to my car). And, I would like the scratches fixed - but I just can't take the time to go down their 3 separate times. Everyone is polite on the phone but I really need these things resolved.
