KeyBank W Colfax Ave, Lakewood

This truly was the best banking experience I have ever had!! Desiree spent a full hour with me making sure to satisfy my financial needs. I made the best decision for my first bank in Colorada.

Went in to simply get $10 of quarters with cash. Said they couldn’t help because I don’t have an account there.... never in my 35 years has that ever happened. I can now I say I’d never bank there. Such a simple request, what’re you guys trying to be? Exclusive.!?

This is a great, clean, friendly bank location in a neighborhood where just being average would have been expected. Down the block from a lower-frills-than-most thrift store, a Burger King known for a bathroom that requires tokens frequented by angry homeless people, and Casa Bonita, one would expect to walk in, make passing eye contact with a disinterested teller, make a deposit, and head out to spend a dollar and a half on ten chicken nuggets. That is, refreshingly, not the case. The staff has *immediately* greeted me in a friendly manner each time I've visited, one of their tellers (Ms. Kaptain) went so far as to not only ask me what I've been up to since opening my account, but actually recommending account options, features, and other services that the chain offers. This is a throwback to actual local banks with actual people who are part of the community, with actual souls (in lieu of the chain-bank register-monkeys who are effectively the white-collar equivalent of the McDonald's employees they don't trust with the actual flipping of burgers), and a wondrous departure from what I've come to expect from every modern bank at every turn, and have for almost the entirety of this century so far. In short, I was exceptionally impressed with the quality of service, and it wasn't just from the tellers. The personal bankers always wish me a good day when I depart if they're not busy with another customer, and I always feel welcome no matter who greets me first at the beginning. I'm actually happy with my experience at a bank for the first time in probably a decade, and that's why I'm going to continue to return to this location above all others. It's also directly on my way to and from work, so there are other reasons why I'd return here, but really it's the quality of service that has dictated this decision in the end.

THIEVES!!!! 2 words to describe this bank: rude & incompetent. They must have sculpted their business model from our glorious president/dictator. Terrible customer service. They are holding 100% of a CASHIERS check for 10 days. They gave me no warning of this at the time of my deposit leaving me with ZERO money to live off of for that 10 days and having ZERO care. This check was for selling my house so they have left me homeless, without a vehicle & no money to eat while they hold onto (1st Bank says check cleared from their bank several days ago) over $200,000 of my money...without even leaving me the standard $5000 for a “delayed deposit”. Highly recommend ANY other bank & if you must use KeyBank then ANY other branch. Never had such a terrible banking experience with people that care any less about leaving someone in this state EDIT: KeyBank asked me to respond to email address below, which I did immediately. It's now 2 days later & still no response, & 6 days with no money

They do notary but only typed up papers! I guess because that matters! Such an inconvenience since I just got one done at another key bank and not typed up! So its who they choose to help! I guess I wasnt Mexican enough for them at this location! Will not recommend this location to anyone!

Always helpful tellers and usually very quick getting you in and out.

We recently joined KeyBank. I wanted to recognize Alejando Arellano, a personal banker at this location. He was so awesome to work with, he is very helpful with positive attitude and excellent customer service. We have interacted with Alejandro now few times and each time he was exceptional. KeyBank please recognize employees such as Alejandro, we need more people like him. Thank you.

Super high pressure sales. They don’t listen to your needs, they just try to push products so they can hit their numbers. Whenever I went in to the branch, I felt like raw meat with a bunch of dogs circling me. Icky.

This branch is the ONLY reason I’m closing my account with key bank! I deposited a check, the clerck didn’t advise me of the hold even though when asked when it would be deposited into my account. I went in to speak with a clerck and they belittled me and made me feel like my concerns weren’t important. I wish I would or ready the reviews on this specific branch before doing building with them! HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE business practices!!!
