I can understand closing one branch to do community involvement. But not closing all branches in the Burlington area except the downtown one on a Wednesday.
Peter, many of the bank’s branches close midday on May 23 to accommodate employee to participate in the bank’s 28h annual Neighbors Make the Difference Day. Volunteering for more than 860 service projects in KeyBank’s markets, from Maine to Alaska and those branches’ customers did have access to ATMs, as well as online and mobile banking. ^JL

Worst experience I have EVER HAD IN MY LIFE at a bank. This is my horrible lunch break from a Busy and wet day. I took my break at 1pm today from a very Reputable buisness in the area. I work outside and have a 30 min break. I went into the Bank to cash a Printed check from said Employer. I handed the teller Jason a Valid VT driver license and a social security card...He asked if I was a member at which point I said NO and he told me about $7 fee to cash check. I agreed at which point he started asking me about the previous Key Bank location I cashed my previous weeks check at, Telling me how "they shouldn't of accepted a Social security card," for a 2nd form of identification. At which point he asked for another 2nd form of ID, I gave him a Debt Mastercard....He then asked me My phone number, Name, Address on ID, current ID, then last straw was occupation...I asked him to remove the forgien Object from his rear and requested a manager...Heres where it really goes down hill!! The Branch Manager "Sonia" came out during Jason's request if occupational employment. I continued to say it doesnt matter as I handed them a Printed card with my Buisness name and clearly described in bold green letters...She at this point says "We cant type this into the system sir, I DONT EVEN HAVE TO CASH THIS FOR YOU"...I then say "this is discrimination, I'm on a 30 min break and been here for 18 minutes lady" SHE replys "type in maintenance and send him on his way, We shouldn't do this" She had attitude, He had attitude. Obviously they didnt want to be at work on a Friday. Its no wonder at peak hours the parking lot was empty. I felt embarrassed, ashamed, discouraged and Discriminated against. For other Customers to witness this and see me embarrassed and treated like this hurt my pride. I truly believe I should seek further consultation for this incident. I apologize and appreciate anyone who takes the time to read and respond to this. Sorry for any misspelling or punctual mistakes. I ask for further replys be sent to My Google connected email. Thank you, Justin King
Thanks for taking the time to review, Justin. I sincerely apologize for the way this interaction at our branch made you feel. If you send us a message to [email protected] we would be happy to look into this. ^ JJ
