Fair price on the item I purchased. Was greeted walking in the door and helped to a couple of items in the display case but not very warmly. I was then handed off to the more "senior" gentleman staff member and honestly I don't think he could have been bothered by me one bit. Asked a couple of questions and received a matter fact "I don't know" and never any intention of looking in the box for the answer. Long story short...he caused no harm but certainly didn't help much. I will shop around more before my next purchase as a better level of customer service would be nice.

I have had a good and bad experience. First experience I could not get any attention. Second time had a young guy, so sorry I can’t remember his name, but really helped me with what I was there for. He is kind of short with dark hair. I want to thank him again. For some of the other help, not so happy with them. Customers should walk in and feel welcomed no matter color, size, etc. they are.

Have bought numerous firearms from this place. Staff was always nice and helped me with what I was looking for. Prices are about average for the industry.

I bought a smith &wesson 380 I was not happy the way the gun shot. A delay not good. I took it back and the store manager took care of it. Took a couple months to get it back but he said it’s back. I asked him to soot it and he did and said it was fine. I went right out and shot it and now it’s like a brand new gun. The service I got was perfect. I will do more business with Jim’s Pawn Shop and I will spread the word around. Again thank you for the services and I will be back. BTW I got my daughter and son-in-law to get their 9mm at Jim’s. Keep up the good service.

I have purchased three pistols, and a shotgun from them in the past 18 months. I also sent two friends there in the past 2 months that BOTH purchased firearms from them and got several accessories. They refused to sell me ammo the other day because they only sell ammo to people on the day they purchase a firearm due to the short supply. What about the customers who have purchased several guns from them and have been loyal customers, and sent new customers to them? You have permanently lost me as a customer, and I certainly won't recommend you to anymore of my friends!!

I wanted to purchase a firearm. I had a budget of $1000.00. I heard they had a good selection and good prices. My husband, daughter and I walked in and the first employee completely ignored us. My husband stopped to look at watches, the employee was standing right there on his phone texting. He wasn’t with a customer and simply acted like he didn’t see us. I went over to the gun counter and was there for a very long time being completely ignored another employee. I called my husband over to show him the gun I wanted to purchase. One employee was talking to another guy. I purposely stood next to the other customer and I didn’t get a greeting or anything. What a disappointment. Even if you are with a customer still acknowledge other patrons. We walked in and walked out without a single employee saying a word to us.

I have bought guns here over the years. I have accepted the fact they are busy with customers with questions-like me. Always professional. Come with patience and your experience will be good. Just today, I picked up a quality handmade custom holster. Great customer service. Will be back for holsters for my other weapons. This one was unique, due to my G26 having a streamlight trl-6 (light /laser combo). It was well made and affordable. Only local place that acted like they cared. Thanks Mike!👍

2 staff members were able to serve and educate four 1st time gun buyers in making the best possible gun purchase, suggest adding accessories, sell ammo and complete the necessary paperwork simultaneously without anyone feeling neglected or ignored. The sence of humor and interaction between my saleswoman (employee 599 I think her name was Heather or Nichole) and "Big Jersey" was very entertaining. I will be returning to make another purchase as soon as I get the call to pick up more permits.

Tried to send an email to alert of a stolen bike. Won't even allow me to send an email to them, just in case the bike shows up in their shop. Told me it's against the law to help me. That makes a lot of sense. Not too trustworthy when you deal with high-risk for stolen goods and you don't want to help the victims, but instead shield the thieves. Shady.

Favorite gun store in NC Staff is friendly patient. JR the mag goes out of his way to satisfy his customers. All stores shd b run like this .

As to my experience, very friendly and attentive staff. They have a huge selection of firearms, I believe both new and used. I have not purchased a gun here yet, but I was trying out a few different ones by seeing what one felt best in my hand, and the man was very patient and made good conversation. Also, they seem to have the absolute best prices in town!

I purchased a rifle with the understanding that I would be allowed to purchase 2 boxes of ammunition with that purchase as per their store policy. However, when I was checking out they told me they just sold out of the rounds I needed for the rifle I just purchased. I was assured I would be allowed to purchase the ammunition when it came in. I went back today to check if any ammunition had come in. Now they tell me they will not honor that commitment even though I presented my receipt. I purchased that firearm in good faith believing they would honor their commitment and store policy. Very disappointed. I have been a customer there off and on for 30 years so shame on them. Taking advantage of the ammunition shortage to sell their guns is one thing but then to go back on their word after the fact is too much.

If I could rate this place a negative I would. My mom, brother and I went here so that she could purchase a gun. Had all intentions of getting the gun which was $1,200 not including the mag. The guy acted almost disgusted to have to help her. The guy gets the gun down then goes into the back just to come back to tell her he doesn't feel comfortable selling her the gun because my brother acted more excited than she did. Make that make sense for me. This place is a joke. Based off this experience and the reviews I've read I'm surprised they're still in business. What a disappointment.

I am a very knowledgeable guitar buyer. I have a guitar restoration workshop and like to focus on vintage guitars. I recently bought a guitar from Jim's and it was a fabulous transaction. I bought mine from out of state and they were great with communication and shipping. The price was seriously extremely good and they were very, very accurate in describing it's condition. I bought a guitar out of state, sight unseen - so any other transaction will be more predictable and if I can do that with TOTAL satisfaction, everyone should feel great about their in person purchases. I was greeted by 4 different people when I walked in and through the store. They answered every question, with helpful knowledge and expertise. They have a wide selection of firearms and ammunition. I work in retail and more times than not, your bad experience at any store has to do with the customers attitude. Don't rush salesman if they are busy. Be patient and understanding. If there are few customers and you get the cold shoulder, then leave. But if the place is packed, wait your turn. This place has great customer service! Even when busy.
