    I am so happy I found Interfirst to complete my mortgage refinance. They provided the absolute best rate combined with lowest closing costs, and I had shopped around and gotten quotes at half a dozen lenders before choosing them. The process was smooth and easy from start to finish. The online portal to apply and upload documents was user friendly. Crystal, our loan originator, was great! She was very professional and quick to respond and answer any questions. Jessica finished the underwriting so quickly. Overall, it was an amazing experience so if your shopping around for a lender don't hesitate to go with Interfirst. These kinds of things can be stressful, but you will be in good hands with them!

    Interfirst is a great lender, and really cares for its customers. Not only did they provide me with a really low rate and fees (I shopped around with quite a few other lenders), its process is seamless.     My experience with Interfirst Mortgage Company was great. I was shopping around for my refinance and I could not find a better rate than what I got from Interfirst. Above all, the closing cost was way better than other lenders. Interfirst charged me only the 3rd party fees. Once I submitted my application, I started getting regular updates on my application. The staffs that I worked with were professional and they responded to my emails without any delay. I recommend Interfirst for your mortgage needs.

    I would suggest going with another lender. There was a lack of communication with title company and lender as well as everyone else. Our contract was signed and executed and sent the following day to lender. I understand that they say it takes 45-60 days to close. However the date on our contract was for 30. Had I been told or made aware of them not being able to close in that time frame. I wouldn’t have made plans for movers as well as other things. Also appraisal wasn’t ordered until a week prior than original closing date. Which didn’t come back in time causing delay. Go with another lender.

    We had a great experience with Interfirst for our Refi. Warren Gray was our loan officer. He was great with communication and prompt with replies to my emails. From the start of the application to the closing was 40 days. Pretty fast! Would recommend to anyone.

    Warren Gray went above and beyond to be helpful and was quick to answer any questions. My refinance rate was the same if not better than any other company. Even with a not quite excellent FICO score. Would definitely recommend and use again in the future.

    Interfirst is a horrible company to work with. I would highly recommend going with someone else. I applied with for an owner occupied Refi (Loan XXX11839) and locked my rate. 2 weeks later, my plans changed and I had to change the loan to an investor/rental loan. My Interfirst rep told me that management would allow me to keep the same rate sheet from the original lock day. Next, they had me re-apply, which I did immediately. 5 weeks into the process they denied my loan due to DTI issues. Throughout the process, I stated I would be willing to lower the loan amount if needed to satisfy their DTI ratio. With the denial, they invited me to reapply a 3rd time (ridiculous!) at the now higher rate. I believe they did this because they did not want to honor my rate lock. Communication with Interfirst is very difficult. Calls go on unanswered. Emailed questions were left answered. Out of the 15 plus loans I have had funded, dealing with Interfirst was the most painful. In addition, their lack of professionalism will cost me THOUSANDS having to start over in a much higher rate environment.

    I was able to refi only b/c my longer officer was able to work with me and go the extra mile to get my refi done. I contacted 7-8 lenders and Interfirst gave me the best option for my unique situation that involved the CARES act. I told all the lenders including Interfirst I would not be able to refi but my mortgage loan originator, Whitney Brown, kept working on it and came up with a solution that met my needs. So very grateful we were able to get it done and put me a much better position that before the refi. Whitney Brown was amazing and very very patient and professional thru the whole process. The whole process took 5 weeks to complete which is not bad at all. I'd definitely would recommend them.

    Don’t waste your time! Really! Don’t do it! I shopped 4 institutions for my refi and landed on Interfirst. All were really close, but I decided to use Interfirst. My banking officer (a.k.a. the sales guy) was all yeses in the beginning, but in the end, I lost THOUSANDS! This was not a complicated loan, but there was one component that required Interfirst to work with an existing lien holder. “We do this all the time” is was told. I immediately provided all the info they requested. Two weeks later, they said they said they couldn’t do the loan. Now the rate has increased and I’m paying THOUSANDS more because of their (IMO) incompetence. No problem they said…obviously there was. We’ll be happy to work with you lien holder they said…Interfirst never even contacted them. Someone was supposed to contact me to discuss the issue…no one ever did. In this day and age where promises are meant to sell ya and NOT be fulfilled, Interfirst didn’t disappoint! I got SOLD, and I’m paying bigtime for it. ***Update*** Interfirst is great about following up online to address comments; too bad they really don't. After I posted, I received a call from someone who identified himself as a manager. He stumbled and fumbled with his words like he was being hazed, and this was his first call. "I'll look into this", he said. "Me or someone else will get right back to you", he said. Well...crickets! Nada! I tried to get back in touch with him...not a chance. Everyone hides behind an 800 number and email. I should have taken note when the "Banker" I was working with said, "Email me when you need something, and I'll call you."

    My loan officer was Suzana Measham and she was always professional and provided meaningful updates at critical points in the process. My experience was absolutely pain free and I would highly recommend Ms. Measham and Interfirst any day of the week. Unbeknownst to Ms. Measham, I had a really horrifying experience with another internet mortgage firm and was a little hesitant to go down this path again. But my two experiences were like night and day, and I am grateful for the level of professionalism exhibited throughout the process by Ms. Measham and other team members connected with Interfirst. I am definitely a fan and will look for opportunities to refer Ms. Measham and Interfirst. Please keep up the good work! Thanks!

    Anyone who knows me knows that I do my research. After considering multiple lenders (and I mean multiple), it was a close call between Interfirst and another lender I was connected with through Costco's mortgage program. I will forever regret choosing Interfirst. Initially, I locked in with both lenders. FIgured I'd hedge my bets. Interfirst quoted me 3.672% and the other lender 3.75%. Interfirst had zero fees. The other lender had a very low fees (required as part of Costco partnership). I noticed immediately a difference in the performance of the 2 lenders. Costco-affiliated lender was on top of it. They had my paperwork with the title company in no time and were wanting appraisal. When Costco-affiliated lender was ready for the appraisal I knew I had to choose (didn't want to pay for 2 appraisals) and based purely on the numbers, I went with Interfirst. SO DUMB. I said goodbye to Costco-affiliated lender and my nightmare began. First, the appriasal. Interfirst got to this step long after the Costco-affilaited lender. Whereas Costco lender had quoted me $750 for the appraisal, Interfirst quoted me $1500 for the appraisal. What?! I balked. After some negotiation, lender found an appraiser who said they could do it for $1100. FIne. They ordered appraisal. At this point, this was all that was holding up my file. We needed the appraisal and we were almost to close. Appraiser drags a little but ultimately does the appraisal. Appraisal is really high. It did not occur to me that it would create an issue. High appraisals are a good thring, right? (Answer; No, not when high appraisals are used to make tax esimates.) After the appraisal my loan coordinator reaches out to me to add Interfirst on my homeowner's insurance. Immediately I do that. (I should note that this was always the case. When they asked for a document, I got it to them immediately.) Out of nowhere it seems, I get an email from a NEW loan originator. My original loan originator is "no longer with the company." Strange, I think, but okay. He sends me a message indicating he's taking over and things should be good as we were almost to close. Fine. Next I get an email from a new loan coordinator. My old loan coordinator is also "no longer with the company." I google Interfirst and take stupid solace in the fact that it almost has a 5 star google rating. I google news relating to Interfirst. Turns out Interfirst just had massive layoffs. Ugh. "That's okay" I convince myself. Shouldn't affect me. We're almost to close. All of the sudden, I get a note from my new loan coordinator saying there's a problem with the Verification of Mortgage. The local lender of the loan I'm refinancing used white-out on the form. The local lender needed to update the form without white-out. Fine. Done. Then another email: The local lender didn't check these 2 boxes on the form. Need that done. Fine. Done. I grumble --Why didn't you ask for this to be updated while we were waiting on appraisal? Finally, I get a clear to close. Yay! Nope. The next day I receive AN EMAIL that states we have an issue with DTI. What? Turns out, their estimating of taxes was creating a potential DTI issue and my clear to close was yanked away. My loan was in underwriting suspension. I went to work immediately trying to figure out how I could resolve this issue. I asked questions. Received no answers. Did my own research. I even scrambled to get my property appraisal protest review expedited so that I could get a new tax number that didn't create a DTI issue. I offered them 3 legitimate solutions to clear the DTI issue, but yesterday --literally the day after the Feds adopt the biggest interest rate hike in years--I receive another EMAIL from Interfirst that they're denying my loan. Didn't have the decency to even call me. UPDATE - Interfirst reconsidered my denail and ended up following through on the loan. I very much appreciate Rocky Bergante and Michael Kerber who took over my file and made things right. Thank you guys.

    Beware of this company!!! We went through the loan process with them, and they drug out the process for months. Then they finally let us know that they made a mistake in their process and that we would have to start over and reapply. However, they promised us that they would honor our original rate. Today Interfirst told me that they would not honor our initial rate, and we have not even started the reapplication process. Shady business practices abound at this company.

    My experience with Interfirst Mortgage was EXCEPTIONAL. Not only did they have a rate better than 3 other places I shopped at with NO lender fees (origination fees), but the whole process was SMOOTH. They detailed perfectly what they expected of me and promptly followed up when they needed additional information.     Great process from beginning to end. Rates were better than anywhere else, but customer service was even better. Very responsive, underwriting was easy. There were the usual follow-up requests, but clear communication and easy uploading of docs made it a smooth process. I’ve closed around 20 loans in the past, usually with big banks, and was skeptical at first, but Interfirst was better than all of them.

    Using Interfirst was the first time my wife and I ever used a completely online mortgage company to refinance a mortgage. The experience was surprisingly very easy and seamless. The service Interfirst provided was top notch and our loan representative Suzana was very helpful. Whenever we had a question, Suzana would reply promptly either by email or phone. Interfirst by far had the best rates and the closing costs were next to nothing. Our closing attorney was amazed at the rate we got on a second home and he was even more impressed that there were no fees issued by Interfirst. We highly recommend Interfirst and would use them again in the future.

    Interfirst Mortgage Company was a pleasure to work with during our refinance, which start to finish took six weeks. Shlomo Homnick was our main point of contact and loan application taker/originator and was superb. We highly recommend him and the entire processing staff. Everything completed over the internet and then an in-home closing with notary. Quick payoff of other loans for this refi after closing and very quick settlement check sent. Very good and responsive communication throughout, excellent refi rate obtained with NO points, lower fees and costs than other lenders, ability to be flexible as options discussed, and overall drama free and no hiccup process. We will be highly recommending Interfirst to all our friends, neighbors and family.

Their portal was very easy to navigate and uploading the necessary documents were simple.     Exceptionally frictionless process and excellent terms on my refinance. The communication wasn’t always stellar—things will go quiet for more than a week or two—but considering the volume the industry is dealing with at the moment, it was adequate. In the end things worked out, though with an ugly tax surprise at closing. Still, Interfirst can’t control when my taxes are due. I’d use them again and have already recommended them to others.

    I have a very good experience refinancing with Interfirst. They had the lowest rates with no points compared to multiple other lenders I also received quotes from. Interfirst also had the lowest fees or were tied for the lowest closing fees when I compared to other lenders. The entire process was made easy by a knowledgeable team that worked with me making sure I understood anything I had questions about along the way. They were very quick to respond to any questions I had through email. They were also able to close on the refinance in about half of the time that others lenders were saying they could close in. Overall it was a great experience and I don't have any complaints.

    Haven't done a refinance in about 5 years, but heard rates were just too good to pass up. Found Interfirst by searching online, and was really glad we did. Got an amazing rate on a 15yr mortgage with NO lender fees! The entire process from start to finish was smooth, with everything being done online (uploading/reviewing/signing documents), and we were even able to close at home.     We got a great rate with no unnecessary closing costs. Our initial loan rep, Sean, was fantastic but we received a new rep midway through due to Sean moving up. Marco made the transition as seamless as possible and was very helpful. All employees we came in contact with reps, loan processors, etc. always responded to our questions quickly which was very much appreciated. Overall, the mortgage process was the easiest and smoothest one we have experienced!

    I was in the process of refinancing my mortgage with my existing lender. The company through which I monitor my credit noticed the inquiry and told me about other lenders, one of which was Interfirst. They offered me an even lower rate than what I was going to get with my existing lender, and they also did not charge any origination fees. The application process was seamless, and we closed within the range of time I was quoted. The team with which I was working always responded very quickly to the questions in my emails.

    I would not deal with them again. They were extremely sloppy throughout my whole refinance process. My refi was super straightforward and they had all my information from day 1. A layup loan for them, but somehow made it much harder one themselves. Somehow this ended up taking over 60 days. My loan switched loan officers 3 times and it didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. When I asked them why they kept on taking so long with the loan they said because they were so busy with all the refi's this year, which I understand but still doesn't explain the fact why they kept on messing my loan up. Would not recommend.

    i just closed last month, and checked my first payment and it shows not cashed. I called the service mac number and she was rude and condescending. she said the mails been very slow, up to a month behind. So i asked if i wouldnt be charged a late fee. Her response was very rude and said that i couldnt do this every month. I was confused as she had just agreed it was usps' fault. Very bad phone manners and speech. She used slang and sounded like she was annoyed with me. God, does anyone have good customer service anymore? Instead of lecturing your clients, help them find solutions. I have an excellent credit score and cant just wait for usps to do their job. she finally said after i asked her for other options that i can do autopay. it was like pulling teeth lol

    Fast, simple procedure. Great competitive rates. I love the option of online documentation portal. ONLY 46 days from first application to closing! CASH OUT RE_FI. Would be 5 stars all day if the junior loan officer could have been more helpful with documentation demand that I didnt know how to acquire and submit. I actually almost walked away and went with another company because of this. Glad I didnt though. Just be aware that this is a kinda DIY process so be prepared to find and provide any and all documents they require. Even very old mortgages you may have had in the past.

    I searched online for a mortgage refi company and spoke to several. Interfirst was not only the best price structure, they had the best people to work with and straightforward process. No trying to sell points or extravagant closing costs. The lender answered all of my questions so I understood every line item. A truly refreshing and customer-first process, especially in comparison to the wells fargo customer-dead-last disaster I came from.

    Second refinance with them in as many years . Straightforward process without the additional fees and points to decipher (as long as you understand the rate tradeoff). Company representatives are very knowledgeable and communicate frequently throughout. Definitely recommend.

    I also agree with the post about the delayed responses and slow closing. I have given every piece of information requested within one day of receiving the request, and 6 weeks later don't have a close date. I was clear from the beginning my goal was to close in 3-4 weeks and they thought that "was possible" as long as I was timely with my responses. Communications from Interfirst have been very slow. We have excellent credit and are doing home improvements but have had to stop due to the slow closing. We have far more equity than needed for the loan. I'd be more than happy to amend this post should I receive a call from a manager that can get us scheduled for closing. I have received the managers contact information and will reach out to them tomorrow. Update: 3 weeks later and still no close date.

    I fell in love with Interfirst right away. Their knowledgeable agents quickly got me straightforward answers to all my questions. No flash. No fancy salesmanship. Just honest people with honest answers. Their web interface was hands down the best and most intuitive I've used with any financial institution. I was able to get my loan application and documentation uploaded quickly and efficiently. Quick turnaround on approval, underwriting and closing. The only things I had to wait on were third parties (appraisal, closing attorney). Great, clear, timely communication at every step. Sense of personal service and real caring by the staff across the board. Oh, and I got a great interest rate!

    Really really bad service. DO NOT fall for their no-fee tricks!!! I have had loan service with many companies but it's by far the WORST. They promise you with sweet words but when it gets to the loan process. It's really slow and they start asking for all kinds of documentation that other lenders have NEVER asked for before. Their loan processors have no patience and don't answer my questions. I have to keep sending repeating emails. It's been over 90 days and my loan is still not closed yet. I got what I paid for but STAY AWAY from them!!!!

    I was searching for a mortgage lender and found Interfirst through Bankrate. They had the lowest refi rate with no lender fee. Suzana was the loan originator that took care of my application. She's very courteous and helpful throughout the process. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything I needed to know and what to expect. Every time I called or emailed her with a question, she always responded promptly with thoughtful answers. The customer service of Interfirst Mortgage is A++.     Interfirst was very responsive, easy to work with and there were no hidden fees. In fact, our fees ended up being lower than originally quoted. We started our loan process after our son began his with a local credit union. He is still waiting to close and we're already signed, sealed and delivered! We couldn't be more pleased!

    Great rates and easy application process but then the fun begins - a never ending stream of requests for documents, many of which do not exist, are completely unrelated to the loan at hand, are misnamed or are completely misunderstood by the underwriting department that you can’t speak to. Instead you get a junior loan specialist that simply repeats the gibberish they get from underwriting. And this is for a mortgage of less than 45% of value!!!! Stay away.

    Best Rate we could find. Closing took a few extra days due to some timing issues waiting on the IRS, but we made it to the finish line and I got the rate I wanted. My mortgage broker couldn't compete or match the rate or terms and since I'm the one paying for it, I tried to find the best rate I could which was with Interfirst. 30 year Refi. It pays to shop around.

    4 months to close, numerous errors (escrow of insurance and taxes, not knowing HELOC needed subbordination) all which needed correcting and delayed.closing. I emailed and called loan coordinator to correct these errors and she never called or emailed me back. The company is poorly organized and communication is extremely poor. The employees are poorly trained. Typically I was requested to upload a document, which underwriting would not review for another week, then another document, uploading documents I had already uploaded. Because I was just requested to repetitively upload documents to verify my self-employment income, underwriting asked me for "contracts and invoices" of HIPPA protected information (definitely a violation of HIPPA law and probably a violation of mortgage regulation). A simple phone call to me could have problem solved verifying income. When I received final closing docs, which I attempted to correct 2 times with emails, they were emailed back without being corrected. I spent 45 min on the phone explaining to the loan originator why the $830 refund from appraisal additional charges were not included in the final closing document (his lack of understanding basic math.) One week after signing closing docs, on the day Interfirst was to fund, I was asked to again upload the same bank statements (already uploaded 5 months of statements) I had uploaded 2 days before. Out of 15 mortgages/refinances I have completed for the purchase of 5 houses, this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

    Great experience working with Interfirst. Their rates were extremely competitive even with no points, and the closing costs were very low due to their not charging many of the fees that other lenders do. I worked with Steve in getting my loan set up and he was awesome. Always extremely helpful through the entire process and responded quickly any time I had a question. I was able to complete the entire process online and over the phone and they the title company that they worked with allowed me to close on the loan from my home. I literally never had to leave my home for anything from application to closing. I would absolutely work with Interfirst again in the future and would recommend them to anyone!

    I am very DISSATISFIED with this lender and their entire process. If you are reading this review, please consider other lenders. Our closing date has been moved a week because the appraisal was not order nor done in time. Unfortunately, not only is the cost for the appraisal about 800$ but you can not shop around anywhere else. ( I was able to locate an appraiser at 475 $ and with the report in 2 days, however they do not allow that) Basically, your hands are tied and at their mercy. Supposedly they put a rush order on the appraisal yet it's been 5 days and the appraisal company has not even responded to their inquiries. Also, the communication from them is lacking, poor and/or unprofessional. Every time I attempted to email, call or communicate with them, never received a response, reply or returned. In response to the company's reply below ... Contract was signed april 6th and the appraisal was not submitted until april 26, we were due to close on May 6 .. Appraisal was not completed until may 5th so some body dropped the ball, and still nobody could give us a final date for closing. Why was the appraisal submitted late ?

    Horrible, extremely horrible. My loan officer is Omari Harvey and I paid 570 dollars for my house evaluation. Sent all the information they have asked for and haven't heard from them in 2 weeks. I've sent about 5 emails and I barely got a response back today telling me I haven't closed yet, even though I've sent everything they asked for through their Interfirst portal. Then he asked if I'm wanting to go to another company. Why? What makes him think I'm switching when I've been trying to get this done since late October. It's been 2 1/2 months and we're still not done apparently. Absolutely the WORSE company to work with.

    Interfirst was awesome for our refinance. The whole process from application to close was VERY FAST! Their portal for uploading files and signing documents was super easy to use. The communication was good. The rate was low. The real bonus was that there was no origination fee. It was also great that they scheduled the notary to come to our house to sign the closing documents. It was so easy.

    After more than 40 years in the real estate business, I decided to use an internet company to put a first mortgage on my home. I was skeptical at first, however very soon into the process, I felt comfortable.     From start to finish, I had a wonderful experience with this company for my refinance. They had the lowest closing costs by far! Even my friend who owns a mortgage brokerage couldn't beat them! The process of submitting all my documents through the online portal couldn't be any easier. They were very responsive to any questions. Everyone I spoke with were extremely friendly and very customer oriented. They clearly wanted to make sure you got the best deal possible.     I had never heard of Interfirst prior to refinancing my mortgage. I had gone to many sites who advertised a mortgage rate but when I applied it was always higher. Interfirst's advertised rate was the exact rate I got. Everything they told me at the start of the process was exactly what happened when it came time to closing. There were no hidden fees or surprises. My loan processors gave me weekly updates (even if nothing needed to happen) and all documents were easily submitted on-line. It was an awesome and smooth process with Interfirst and I would happily use them again in the future.

    AVOID this company! POOR customer service and payment handling problems. I've been dealing with Interfirst for less than 1 year, and I've already had 2 of my payments totally mishandled. My payment was confirmed as mailed out from my bank's BILL PAY, on 12/2. as of 12/17 they had not received it. Not uncommon, but they are sticking me with the late fees. Surprise, no one in the building to speak to - you need to send a written request for the credit to them via USPS. POOR handling of payments leading to me being stuck with an excessive late fee. Currently seeking options to find a different lender.

To avoid future late charges, you can use one of the alternate methods of online payment provided by your servicer by going to interfirst.com/support, clicking the link for 'ServiceMac Customers', and setting up your online account.  From there, you can set up either one time payments or auto draft payments.     This might have more to do with whatever title company that was part of our refi, but this was the most painful financial experience that I've ever had. I've bought two homes and have done two previous refi's. I don't know if Interfirst uses one title company or multiple, but our experience was beyond brutal. The clarity in communication was often terrible. We had to upload some of the same documents more than once for whatever reason. Upon signing the closing docs, we had to meet with the notary THREE different times because of paperwork screw-ups that were not due to anything we did. AND, after the loan closed, I got an email from my loan officer at Interfirst that the title was requesting a notarized copy of our trust agreement, which we had signed in front of the notary, who said that he would be including that with all of the other paperwork that we had signed. At that point I replied that we had upheld our end of the bargain. The loan had already closed, and as far as I was concerned, the deal was signed, sealed, and delivered. If you're shopping for a loan you would better served by going elsewhere, unless you're alright dealing with potential major headaches and frustrations.

    Had a great re-fi experience with this company, worked with Justin Woodward who was awesome. Communication was easy and the whole team very responsive. We got much a much better rate here than the quotes at other mortgage companies (one of them sounds a bit like Block-it Mortgage). I appreciated that what we were quoted during initial process is what we got and no weird fees or points to make it sound better than what it was like other loan service providers. They will sell your mortgage after a month or so, which was not a big deal to us as we knew going in (they are upfront about this).

    My experience has usually been "if it's too good to be true, it ain't true". Such was my first impression with Interfirst Mortgage and the incredible rates they offered .. and no points, lender fees, etc. But the reviews were quite convincing and I submitted an application on the 10th of August. That was the easiest application process I have ever experienced with a lender! Then I was assigned an officer, Camille Da Costa. She emailed and called throughout the process giving me status updates and more importantly peace of mind. Long story short, I closed for the refinancing of my home on the 1st of September, literally 3 weeks form the time I began the refinancing process. There is absolutely no comparison with the fees from other local banks, specifically Chase and Regions as with the low rates and fees Interfirst offers. What was too good to be true, for me and my wife was true and we are saving thousands of dollars!! Thank you Interfirst!!

    Update: I was approved in August, jumped through hoops to keep my file updated. Long story short- 3 months later my debit ratio is too high. I have rental properties, very little personal debt and knew this was a possibility when I began the process. However, they approved me saying my debt ratio was good then put me through the ringer for months only to realize their error. It was a horrible experience. I am out close to $600 having paid fees. Rates are good but the processing is frustrating. I was supposed to close a week ago didn't. Still waiting on underwriting and updates. I have had to request updates several times and upload the same documents that were all ready in my file. Hopefully, the will get the process moving again soon then I will update my review.

    We originally were working with another company for our refinance. After 6 months of headaches, incompetence and attempted extra fees, we decided to look around and get another quote which is where we found interfirst. Interfirst gave us a SIGNIFICANTLY better rate than the previous company and got to work immediately on getting things moving! The first place I was working with I felt like I had to constantly submit forms and manage my own case (to the point where after waiting 2-3 weeks, I called the title company and did the underwriters within 5 minutes). With Interfirst it was much more hands off, just submit a few forms and relax. We were able to close within 3 months which is exactly what they projected for us. In comparison, Interfirst was a much better experience! To summarize all that: Interfirst gave us the best rate by far, closed withing 3 months and was a smoot and easy process. Overall, I highly recommend them!

    All members of the loan processing team (from the loan officer Jim to processing and closing staff) were courteous, professional and VERY helpful to manage finding solutions for any questions along the way. The 15-year rate (for investment property with cash out) was the best among those that I searched. It remain the best during the entire period, consistently. While almost all other lenders brought an excuse to raise their offered rate well above their advertised rate after interview (investment property, cash out), InterFirst did not do that. I find that a solid reason to trust them and work with them in the future. I recommend them highly. ...... I believe the following could help others who search the internet for the first time to shop for rates and find useful information. I found InterFirst's ad for rates through Bankrate.com, which has customer-friendly search and information. My advice is this: Avoid clicking any advertisement from websites before reading reviews about their policies and customer treatment. For example, I tried the Lending Tree, without reading reviews about how they do business. It was a major disappointment. Such companies abuse the "small prints" of the agreements related to their "services." ... In the case of Bankrate.come, I read the reviews and then went through their search and the process of shopping for rates and other loan conditions.
