Indian Wells Country Club Reviews

Beautiful Hotel. Huge rooms and plenty of parking. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. My stay there was so enjoyable I will definitely visit again and again...
L
Nice being close to downtown and restaurants. The room we got smells like cigarettes and it's not a smoking room.very nice pool and spa.
K
Everything was fine except no microwave. Rooms were very nice. I loved the Lucy & Ricky theme! Pool was great 2 but people stayed n hot tub to long & we couldn't even get n for 10 mins. The drinks price was outrageous Could've done better Wish we could've stayed longer though 😀
J
I like the private patio... friendly staff.. and the cleanliness of the property... u

Nice hotel with wonderful view of the pool and golf course. Very good deal in summer time

Phenomenal course and service! Celebrity course
S
This course easily makes my top 10 list of my favorite courses. The views are amazing the course itself is challenging yet very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this course.

Beautiful piece of History... Comfortable room... Nice staff.

Most fun in the Desert at Indian Wells CC. 36 great holes, beautiful facilities and a cool vibe membership.
D
Clean pool and hot tub area. Nice breakfast and eating area. Quick service regarding room repairs. Spacious room but carpet dirty and tv failing picture.

The Review nice looking property online. Fabulous looking exterior. Helpfully attentive staff...well sort of Interior: on a scale of 1-10 Beds: 4 Sofas: 2 Carpet all throughout property: 4 Rm cleanliness: appears nice but (photo): 0 Can’t rate highly when cockroach comes crawling out of empty room drawer. Ease of changing room: 1 Change of rm was NOT effortless. Mgmt ignored me when I went to lobby to alert of vermin in room. Lead desk person ultimately changed my room. No assistance offered in room move. Had to repack and move on my own (to a rm that had spider hanging on Wall) Finally I’ve never stayed at a hotel that has a TAX price that almost doubles the advertised room rate. Hmmmm. What’s included in that tax bill??? I won’t say this place is good or bad...You decide. CA Dept of Health ought to check this place out.

Great food , great service , great prices ... Very nice place, will be back for sure ... Ohhh and important - compare to other restaurants, this one is actually nice quiet ...whci means you can have normal conversation with the people you are with ..

The guy behind the desk in the pro shop gave me poor directions to get to the Cove course. Drove around and had to ask maintenance staff 3 different times to finally find the 1st tee. No scorecard on the cart. No scorecards in any of the boxes meant to have them. Greens were shaggy and slow for the most part. Then you would run into one that was cut short. Different speeds. Mounds and hills between cart path and greens and between tees as well. Avoid if you have arthritic knees or hips. Fairways were very good. Everything closes at noon so no food or support from pro shop after that. Uninteresting design.

Love the atmosphere of I love Lucy ❤ Wasn't feeling the breakfast but it was ok. The bed was comfortable. Good working AC. So not bad

Love it, live music and show are mazing. Worth for every dollar you spend.

I recently stayed at IW and played the Cove course. The country club staff, restaurant staff, and members we came in contact with were awesome, as was the course itself. However, after our round, I asked the starter how long it generally took to play the course to which he responded 3hr 30min - 3hr 45min. We finished our round in 3hr 26mins yet a marshal came out to us 3 separate times to tell us we needed to pick up our pace. We were on pace and not one time did the group behind us have to wait for us. When I asked the starter at #1 upon completion of our round why the marshal had hounded us when we came in ahead of pace he just gave me a shoulder shrug. No one plays their best round while being continually rushed, and especially unnecessarily. And then when teeing up my ball on the #17 tee box one of the many maintenance/lawnmowers (that were mowing in the middle of the day) was literally mowing my tee box at the exact same time as I was addressing my ball to hit. These are actions one might expect when playing a cheap municipal course and we were pretty disappointed to endure this at a country club of your caliber. When you pay a premium to golf you expect a little more than that.

More relic than vintage. Place clearly shows a need for a serious upgrade. Stayed at one of their king suits with pool views. Room is terribly dirty. There was a dead cockroach by fridge. The sliding door to the patio was filthy. In a post pandemic world I would think public places such as hotels will concentrate a lot on cleanliness. Unfortunately not this establishment. I recommend paying a few extra bucks and stay somewhere else nicer.

We enjoyed our stay and all the Desi Arnez Lucille Ball pictures but there were no microwave ovens or laundry anywhere. There was a major roof leak in the hallway too. Maps of the hallway would have helped too. The pool and hot tub were great as was the breakfast.
M
Gorgeous view I do caution people that it is extremely hot so make sure if you are walking or hiking to have at least a liter of water on you

This place is bad ass. I am Club Corp member and the is a my you become one so you can enjoy places like these Country Clubs across the US. The classic course is Nice especially 18. But the Cove course is just down right tasteful, front 9 open and plush. The back 9 rides the line of the mountains. Im not sure the cost of joining thisCC as a member but I felt like million bucks. The head pro in the pro shop was very friendly fellow. I apologize that I do not remember his name but should be recognized as a Good Dude. He does have a bald head like myself. Thank you. For a very enjoyable outing for my guest and myself.

The Golf course was in good shape and golf staff was very attentive and it was well organized. The men's locker room was a bit old school and then we went upstairs to the ball room. The food was embarrassing and ran out. Would Never hold a function here where food is involved. Too bad as the golf was great. Will never go back for food. Too many good options in the valley.

Great customer service and rooms I found to be at a great value. Can't go wrong with a stay here
R
Not bad. Some decent views at the pool, but limited. Pool is small, rooms dated, bar closes early, food expensive, breakfast poor. Live entertainment, Sinatra style. I've stayed at better places for less money. At least the parking was free.

Very clean and quiet resort. only complaint was that their bar closed on Saturday night by 10pm. It is a great place for the over 65yr old couples , as the live show and dancing was perfect for those loving couples. Rooms were dated and older looking with a small t.v..& not much in surrounding area after 9pm. Still. great get away and thankyou groupon..for allowing us to enjoy a beautiful historic resort with The Ratpack & Lucille Ball photos and autographed memoirs throughout hallways. Great place.

The entrance and the lobby is gorgeous. Even the pool area is magnificent. So keeping that in mind you would think the rooms matched matched it. Unfortunately the room was outdated. Smelled like moth balls. Small tv for a big room. The wifi signal wasnt good either. Had trouble connecting it to the firestick and keeping the signal. Parking was unfortunate. Had to park far away from the room.. but the customer services was great. Gave it 3 stars due to the experience of the room. UPDATE! Just looked at my card statement. Wasn't aware that I got charged double for a room that wasn't up to 3+star rating standards. At first i thought it was a steal for the price so initially I wouldn't of complained cus u get for what you pay for staying here. So I thought, However the fact that I got charged twice feels like i over paid for a room not even worth the total amount.

We held prom at this venue. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff were very nice, always willing to make the experience just that bit more enjoyable. I would highly recommend the area for any event, but I would definitely recommend it for a prom venue on the cheap.
R
Big rip-off in the spa---mandatory 'top' of 20%. Nice spa vibe, mundane massage. Big R.O.

The property has a great location, and the memorabilia that adorns the walls are great. The quality of the guest rooms leaves a lot to be desired. Beautiful bermuda shutters, the carpet is reasonably new, and I love the paint. The challenge I found the hotel lacking is in the details. Rooms must be clean, not clean enough prior to being put in a clean and ready status. This weakness is the most fatal. We were in a suite, again beautiful amenities. Nice shutter doors separating the rooms, but they could not be latched. That is when you close them, the A/C will push them open because the latches do not work. Details. I was particularly irritated because during Covid, and it being summer time, I would expect them to use their slower days to attend to all of these details.
