Worst bank I have ever dealt with. Every customer service rep acts like it is their first day on the job and don't know anything. I was sent from one service rep back into the customer phone queue simply because she did not know the answer to my question. All I needed to know is the four digit zip code extension. She said she asked all of her colleagues around her and nobody else knew either. The wait times are absolutely insane and the fees for online bill pay are criminal. It's 2022 and the only way to avoid paying a fee is to mail a check or use another institution that cares enough about their clients to not charge fees for every day transactions. The phone menu doesn't function well at all. The extension it tells you to dial for customer service (from their own website) says it is invalid. After waiting for long periods of time it asks you to leave a message and nobody will call you back. I've recommended the dealer that utilizes this bank for their loans to stop using them.

This bank is a joke. Everytime I call no less than 20 minutes just to talk someone, then I get transferred back and forth. My highest wait time on hold hit 1hr37min... The fees just to make a payment are outrageous., and there ability to properly report to the credit agencies is quite lacking. I don't recommend this bank to anyone. Sooner or later I will other agencies willing to refinance my loan, and I will wash my hands of this nonsense.

Can I give a negative star rating? Worst bank ever. The 5 star ratings below HAVE to be their employees and friends/family trying to boost their sorry image. Don't ever expect to get a live person on the phone here. Horrible customer serve. Don't use this bank EVER. Never let a dealership finance you through this awful institution.

Update, the respone from Kathy below is completely bogus. I called and left a voice the same day it was left I also called every weekday for 2 weeks no answer ever. I believe the extension she left is just an empty box thats only there to make people reading bad reviews against them think they are willing to help when infact thay aren't. This bank will rob you blind with a loan I sent in a full payment of over 22k dollars then they said I still owed over 500 bucks I called they said we made a mistake they fixed it so I thought. Then they said I owed about 136 bucks I send in the payment they put it to interest, I called and they tell me I still owe another 414 bucks even though it clearly said 136 bucks so after paying over 22k which was what I owed they held my title hostage for another 550 bucks. Stay far away from these thieves. You've been warned

If you like being on hold. And not having any sort of option for an easy auto pay with an external bank account this place is for you. Hopefully a car dealer doesn’t use this bank for your auto loan. I re financed a few short months later because who keeps checks anymore and they charge you $15 to pay over the phone. I also feel like they might have 2 people on staff for the whole company. AWFUL.

I have an auto loan with Independent Bank Memphis TN. To avoid any late fees I mail my payment three weeks before it is due and it still is late, according to Independent Bank. If you pay online or on the phone there is a $15.00 convenience fee. I called Customer Service three times and left three messages. No one has returned my calls yet. THIS IS THE WORST BANK I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. It is obvious that this Bank is NOT processing the payments until after it is past due, in order to collect late fees.

My parents bought a new car in 2001 that was financed through this company . We’ve been calling and leaving messages for 3 days because of a lien on the title that’s been paid since 2006. I finally today got through to someone by acting like I was calling to make a payment. They could help until I asked the release be faxed to our county clerk in which they said they couldn’t do and wanted to transfer me to “customer service” of course once again straight to the same voicemail we’ve been leaving messages at for 3 days.

It's ridiculous on how this bank conducts service...there is a super long wait for getting anyone on the phone to handle business. We also called corporate office and they were also hard to get in contact with someone. This bank is just not professional the way things are done and i wouldn't trust having business with this bank.
