We've worked with Kevin for a few years now, and I really like the model he's set up. You pay a fee to discuss various big "topics" and build an action plan together on that topic. We've discussed plans for student loans, buying a house, and investing, and I appreciate that his approach doesn't start from a place of "here's what you should do," but instead starts with him helping you understand what's important to you. If you're doing this with a partner (which we are) it's a really good way to kickstart important financial conversations and priorities. My recommendation is you come prepared to meetings with as much specific information as possible, as his recommendations/next steps will be as broad or as specific as the information you provide.

A friend from law school recommended Kevin to me. I had recently graduated and started a new job, and I had questions about savings, loans, and how to balance financial priorities. Kevin was responsive, kind, and asked me questions about my situation so that he could provide tailored feedback rather than giving blanket advice. Kevin provided me with questions to help figure out my own priorities and, based on those and our conversations, options for budgeting strategies and habits. He's easy to talk to and nonjudgmental, which made what could have been awkward conversations much easier. I've made significant progress on my goals since working with Kevin and would absolutely recommend him to any friend looking for similar help.
