Illinois Currency Exchange W Dempster St, Skokie

This Currency Exchange on Dempster and Bronx does not keep to posted business hours, even though the hours are posted on the door and online. Came 10 minutes before the posted hours said the currency exchange closed and the doors were locked. Saw an employee in the window which just made a motion that store was closed then ignored me. This place does not follow basic fundamentals of business. Suggestions for ownership, keep your doors open during posted business hours.

This was my experience of the Dempster Skokie currency exchange. Line is long, maybe 8 people. People are piling in. One window open. Oh no. It's taking to long. Old woman begins to tap foot. "Why is it taking so long she asks. These are times of covid we need to get the line moving." Not getting better more people pile in. Toes are tapping. Line doesn't move in the last 10 minutes. The woman starts addressing the absence of staff to other customers. No response from the staff. The woman is done and goes on the attack, the one lady at the window doesn't even look at her. She starts telling the people in the back of the working area they should be ashamed. Others in the line start to call out in disgust as well, they now have a leader. "Where are your coworkers? Do they not work as well?" The old woman cries out "Your boss is not here this is why you dont work!!" Another yells out "We are not in the times of breadlines!!" The old woman makes constant tsk tsk tsk sounds and finger waves. No new windows open up. She is left helpless no movement. Finally right now another window opens up. "Oh my goodness." "Oh my goodness." She cries out.

Love this place. Staff is always friendly and kind. If they can help you they do 100 % if they cannot they explain why in a friendly tone. I have called ahead of time they answer when they can always friendly. If they do not answer I know it’s packed in there so I do not go. I love to go to in and out, all my business done quickly and efficiently with a smile.

The lady who took care of me yesterday had the patience of a saint. She accepted all of my dollar coins (tons) and was extremely nice about it. She didn't rush me and took the extra time needed to make sure everything was taken care of. I honestly thought she was going to reject my payment but she didn't. She was amazing and super sweet.

First of all no wonder why this place has bad reviews! The European lady with blonde short hair was very rude and got an attitude for no reason told me in a sarcastic tone how she doesn’t care and how customers always think their right along with talking some other bad mouthed garbage. Never said I was right or wrong I just straight up asked her not to talk to me like that when I didn’t do nothing but asked a question. She’s lost my business and it’s close to my house. I’d rather drive the extra distance to another currency to avoid this nasty attitude lady! I must say she definitely will scare the customers away! There’s plenty of people who want jobs consider hiring nicer friendlier people that make customers wanna come back and do business again! Because of her I just added to your awful reviews

Lady here keep on arguing with me that my 93 needs emission testing. They only test OBD2 which is 96 and up. She refused to give me plates and made me go get an emission test.

The worse customer service they all rude not professional asking for documents not nessesary just for thy don't want to finish your work not recommended at all

Went to get my license plate sticker renewed The Spanish lady explained to me very rudely that Vin# is now required to renew plates sticker together with expiration date and license number, Just to confirm I asked if she meant expiration of plate sticker , she questioned me like what else!, then the European lady and her start to mock me I politely asked her not to be disrespectful but in all honesty she couldn't care so could her colleague This is my 2nd experience at his place where I found them to be rude an unprofessional I wish I knew who to contact to elevate this but sadly I don't think the owner cares any more judging by all the negative reviews They have worked there too long and don't appreciate the jobs they have

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Rude and unprofessional. I went there and the blond lady that help me previously 2 days due to a mix up with Western Union acted like she never dealt with and refused to serve me. When I asked them for their names so I can report her she never gave it to me. If I could give them a zero or negative stars I would. DONT WASTE TIME going there! You will not get good service and if you, it will be with an attitude.

I gave them 1 star because I don't have the option to give them less. They never answr the phone to answer your questions, you have to drive all the way to them, wait in the line to know what extra do they charge for car registration renewal. And then the have you forced to charge even more money as fee for paying with you debit and not cash.
