Fantastic store! Employees have the best customer service I've experienced in a pawn shop. It's very clean; just a great environment. A favorite pass time is going to pawn shops and looking at all the cool stuff. I've been to the shops Nampa location and an employee there was very helpful. Tall guy, brown hair, beard... i think it was Mark or Matt???? One of those names but was happy to see him working at the Boise location and definitely asked for his help again! Can't wait to see in the Meridian store. ;)

Matt was a great help. I told him a rough idea of what I was looking for, and he had me set on an item in less than 10 minutes. He also made arrangements to hold it for me until I could make it there to get it. Will most definitely be dealing with him in the future. 5/5

This shop is awesome. If you need a certain amount of money, they will do all in their power to get you the most money by doing research. There is plenty of parking. I would encourage anyone to give them a try. It's where the old Tate's rents building in Boise off Fairview between Hampton and five mile. They also deal with boats, motorcycles, guns and so much more.

The deal they gave me made me feel as if I robbed them. The weapons bought (for used) were in perfect working condition and fired as if they were new. Very accurate. Absolutely love this pawn shop! We drive 4 miles out of our way just to go to this pawn shop. Staff is very friendly, especially Robbie. We will continue to come here for as long as we stay in boise. Don't go here to pawn or buy tools though. Nobody knows anything about tools at All and you will get ripped off. I knocked off 2 stars after my last experience.

Marcus was a huge help and very nice. I ordered a gun online and had sent here. He processed it the same day and it was a quick and easy transfer, easiest I’ve ever had. And $15 fee for the transfer is fair and less than other places. I would recommend him for this process anytime.

I stopped in looking for a socket . Unfortunately these people mostly have complete sets only for hand/bench tools. However as I was making my way through this clean store my attention was drawn to a cabinet displaying knives. I especially liked some of the custom hunting knives. Robbie seemed to be very knowledgeable about knives and the best type to use for the job. After examining a variety of folding knives I settled on a well maintained Kershaw. I left feeling confident with the product. Shopping with Robbie at Idaho Pawn & Gold was a pleasant experience and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Tim Schroder

Great shop with a lot of cool finds! Jeremy has always been super helpful while my husband and I shop, especially with regards to firearms. I'm somewhat inexperienced, but Jeremy answered my questions and didn't make me feel foolish at all. Sam's Locker is also run by veterans, and they donate and support to help veterans, so I feel good about going there.

Went all around to find the best deal in town. Went in there before with two guns to trade. They gave us a great quote. More than anybody else was willing to match. When we went back in there they kept that quote and dropped their price on a very nice rifle by quite a bit. Very impressed. Highly recommend.

Went in today looking for a small pocket knife to replace one I had lost. Nothing too expensive . I picked one out , a small Kershaw . $5 bucks. They asked if I had been in before , which I replied "yes" . We talked for a minute and he said "the knife is on the house. . keep us in mind for your pawn shop needs. . I found this place on google, however I didn’t know they took out Tates Rents and replaced it with this pawn and gold so I was looking all around. I called to get directions and Sam Answered the phone w a great attitude and guided me to them. When I got there Sam came up to the counter to help me and I had a bunch of plated and costume jewelry, and a few small pieces of gold. He checked it all out and told me what kind of metal each piece was. He offered to check it, he didn’t huff and puff or act like it was a problem which was super refreshing. As sad as it is, it’s hard to find places that have great customer service this day and age and will spend some time being helpful. I will definitely return as they have great deals on name brand purses and beautiful jewelry. Thank you for being awesome! We need that in today’s world!

This pawn shop is the best, most friendliest shop that I have ever been to. It's my go to shop for the wood that I use for Pyrography/carving and one of my first stops when I'm pawn shop surfing looking for whatever I want to find a great price on. The employees are great as well! Very friendly and I feel at home in the atmosphere when I'm there. I highly recommend a visit to anyone who hasn't gone.

I had a great experience from the time I arrived to the moment I left. I am terrible with names so I have forgotten the two that helped me through it all however it was a very smooth transaction. They were both very friendly and helpful through the entire process. You cant beat quality customer service. I have to say, they far exceeded my expectations! My name is Matt, I’m using my wife’s google to leave a review here because I’m locked out of mine. That being said normally I hate pawn shops the staff are typically cold and emotionless. That most definitely is not the case here. Adriana was super helpful and informed me of all the different sales going on during my visit. Both she and the rest of the staff I interacted with were super friendly and even gave me a free scratch off ticket! Will definitely be returning here when I want to add more tools to my workshop. Even though during my visit I only left with two slabs of wood, which technically are sold by a different business who leases space in their store they treated me as if I were one of their customers that they wanted to return instead of someone “only interested in another retailers product” thanks guys will definitely be back when I have some more money to spend!

I recently visited Sam's locker, I was interested in pawning a rifle. They were Robbie and Marus were super friendly. Robbie was very fair and got me what I needed and it was a really quick easy process. I would recommend these guys! They have some great guns in stock to sell as well. Come check them out.

Cool spot. Very friendly and helpful staff. There were two gentlemen and young women working when I came into browse. One gave me a c-charger when I mentioned my lab to would not charge and the other two I spoke with about the wooden slats and instruments. The store is clean. The atmosphere is appealing. I am new to the area and needed a place to have firearms legally transferred to so I could buy them online. This place was recommended to me and not only are they very inexpensive, but they are also incredibly friendly, helpful and they don't waste any time when your item arrives. I have been notified within the hour of my firearm reaching their location each time I have used them. I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone in need of an FFL in the Treasure Valley. They also do all the normal pawn shop things and the store is very clean, unlike many others I have been to. I will most certainly continue to use this store as my go-to for FFL transfers!

Did a FFL transfer here for a custom firearm. They stored my firearm for 3 months as I was out of town for work. Great place, friendly staff, and cool stuff.

Robbie was very professional! He was the only guy there handling the store and was managing all the customers in a kinda and repsectful manner. I'm probably 15 years younger than him and he still had a way of making me feel like I was in charge. I came to pawn some jewellery, which he gave me a fair price for. Took some time to weed out some plated items I had. Will definitely be coming back here!

These guys are great. I have used them to transfer firearms and the process could not be easier. I am in and out in under 20 minutes and that includes me filling out the paperwork. They run a tight ship and are a pleasure to work with.

Had a fabulous experience at Sam's Locker Pawn shop this past weekend. Met with Hoover who helped a friend and myself out as we were browsing. His sense of humor broke up any 'pawn shop' tension that could've existed. At first it may seem like sales pressure, but after talking with the guys here, it is really just genuine conversation and wanting to give the customer the best information and experience possible. I ended up both making a purchase (which was seamless by the way, and an exceptional deal) and a sale which I felt was very fair on value on both accounts. I would recommend stopping in and seeing what they have. Very knowledgeable group of guys and friendly to boot. Compared pricing between them and Pawn 1 down the street and hands down, Sam's guys will get my business next time around.

First of all, I don't typically frequent pawn shops, but this place has totally changed my mind. I was looking for a very specific guitar for my boyfriend for Christmas and was calling around to see if anyone had that model. Sam's said they had one, and immediately texted me an online listing so I could see the product before driving over. After looking at the high quality listing online, I decided to drive right over. I worked with the sales associate, Jeremy, who was well versed in guitars and was able to get me the best possible deal!! Jeremy worked with the owner Sam so I was able to score a guitar worth well around $1200 for $450! If you are in the market for great items at a very decent price, this is the place to go. This pawn shop is new to me, though to many I'm sure this is the only pawn shop they do buisness with. The staff; exceptional. The customer service; exceptional. Prices, bartering and the genuine trading that takes place is honest and with out any catch. They are knowledgeable about precious metals and have the "smartest" equipment to help identify precious metals and gems. I love my new found one stop pawn shop.
