(This dealership is ready to sell cars!! Everyone was very friendly. Sales manager knew we came to make a deal and he made it happen!) I originally left a great 5 star review for this dealership (see above) but I hate to say I must change it. If I could put 0 stars I would. We bought a 2007 Ford truck on 12/29/21. It was in the shop for a timing repair when we originally inquired about their advertisement. We received a call when the repair was done, did a test drive and purchased the truck. The 1st week we had it it was back in the shop for more timing issues. It was in the shop again 2 more times before the end of January. On 2/4/22 the motor seized and now needs to be replaced. The motor seized because the shop that did the timing repair did not do a through job. They left chain guide debris in the oil pan. This debris clogged the oil pick up tub thus causing the motor to seize. I have called, left messages but they refuse to speak with us. BE LEERY!

The service was awesome. Not pushy or rude. All the staff were great especially my salesperson Mark L. He was very knowledgeable and understanding of what I needed in a vehicle. He took the time and showed me all the amazing features the Palisades have. He genuinely wanted to help me find the perfect car for all my family's needs. We got the 2022 Palisade Limited. It's a beautiful car and worth every penny. We got a great deal and even a 10 year/100k mile warranty to protect our investment. Worst dealership visit I've experienced. Went in wanting to look around and check out some cars and test drive a couple to make sure they were the ones I was interested in buying, you know what you normally go do at a dealership. Talked to Darius first and he was good at explaining how their process works. But then he said he'd get an actual sale's person for us to help us out and after about waiting around for 20 minutes, no one arrived. So we went and found one ourselves but this guy was no help at all. Eric was so condescending and rude. He kept on pushing to go inside so they could run my credit first before I could even test drive a car which I've never even heard of. Kept asking questions about the cars to which he had no answers to. Every time I asked Eric to test drive a car, he'd just keep saying he needed to check my credit score first. And whenever I asked him to look at a different car, he kept implying that I couldn't afford it. Just didn't appreciate his attitude and continuously implying I couldn't afford the cars I wanted to look at. Definitely not going back to this dealership or ever buying a car from them.

I started my car leasing experience with another dealership that made me RUN for the hills, or rather, El Cajon. From the moment I spoke to Ashley on the phone I knew this place was going to treat me better. Bianca was absolutely AMAZING and straight forward with me from the get go. Even after the deal was made they made sure I was happy and had all the info I needed. Thanks to Hyundai of El Cajon I was able to drive home in my dream car!!

I would like to thank Juan Nunez (service writer) and Aaron Johnson (technician) for performing a recall service. They were very flexible, quick, and helpful with me out with getting the service done. I was about a half hour late and I was greeted with smiling and welcoming faces when I showed up. Kearny Mesa Hyundai sucks because they're rude and don't care....it shows too. From now on I will be working with Hyundai of El Cajon even though it's way further away. I know warranty procedures don't pay flat rate/commission well at all, but regardless I was in and out very quickly and I really appreciate that!

David Mr October 29th and Nick were my team they take their time they fought for a good deal I left in a brand new car my cheeks were hurting from laughing and smiling through the whole process this is my second time getting a car from this place this is the only place I'll ever purchase a car from and if you're trying to build your credit this is the place to go just make your payments on time and watch your numbers go up I enjoyed the whole process wouldn't mind doing it again thank you again David Mr October 29th and Nick

Sketchy dealership they hide fees and make fake promises. Very unprofessional staff. Told us our car would arrive at a certain date at LATEST. Then told us it was there and on the way told us it was the WRONG CAR. With gas prices that’s extremely ridiculous. They told us the warranty was included then when we financed through another bank would not give us the payoff quote to tell our bank who was charging 5% less in interest. I had to call finance and even finance then gave a price that was incorrect. The vehicle was 34k the day we made the deposit. And 44k the day we wanted to go with another bank. Be careful when shopping. They are supposedly so busy, but yet need to hide extras to make money. EXTREMELY GREEDY!

I was very happy when i lease a new Hyundai car for my wife and the Hyundai team in this dealer was very kind and helpful and I was in a hurry and the seller told me that I can come back later to detail the car inside and out and then my brother and I decided that lease two cars on lease because we liked to deal with them and my brother sold his car and he told me we will go to Hyundai dealer and get the cars on Thursday but today I went to detail the car that lease it from them and they said we will do the detail and after about an hour they called and said the car is ready, I went to them I found that they sprayed it with water from the outside and did not even wipe it with the rag and never touch inside and the employee told me that they said we can’t do the detail because the car was clean and when I spoke to the manager on the phone because he refused to meet me, he said it would cost him $200 and he wouldn’t agree to that. I think my brother and I will go to another dealer or maybe another car company who don't have fake promises

My husband and I went in to purchase a new Elantra hybrid for my mother in law, and were greeted by Darius, who helped us throughout the entire process. Visited Hyundai on Saturday and was greeted right off the bat by a very courteous and professional team. I was assisted by Eric then handed off to Kamaran, who finished the sale. He was extremely professional and talked to the sales manager to make sure I got a great deal. Highly recommend this team, they will work with you and your needs and will make sure you leave with the car you wanted or even a better one. I honestly went for an older car and ended up getting a brand new Tucson for my wife. Highly recommend visiting this team and getting assisted by Kamaran and his team. Below is my original post. Within an hour of emailing the general manager I received a response. It appears they do take their customer service seriously. Proof of order was sent the following morning and I feel I have been taken care of. Thank you for fixing the communication issue. _____________________________________________________________________ I've been trying to order a car through this dealership and getting the complete runaround. Is it because I'm a woman? It took me over a week to speak with someone who claimed to know what they were doing, Pasha Kamaran. He said he had it handled but refused to give me a confirmation. It's been over a week and he will not return emails or text messages. This is the worst service I've ever received.

We went in to buy a 2022, however they did not have the vehicle we wanted in stock. For some reason when it came to the lists of what was coming in, the original sales person didn't have access, they brought in another person that apparently had access to a different list, where what we were looking for was not coming in either. Then they told us that perhaps there was some other person with access to a different list that may be able to find what we want. Before they even found the car, they were pressuring us to verbally agree to buying that day "if" they did find the car. The woman even drew an X and a line for signature on some random piece of paper. There was even a statement like "If we do this work for you to find the car you're looking for, you'll be ready to agree to do business today?" And asking to get pictures and info on our trade before they even knew if what we were asking for was incoming. It was the epitome of sleazy car sales practices. Their mark up is also $5,000 higher than another dealership that we are now working with for the same exact vehicle and options. The original person that took us on a test drive, was very nice, but after that it just went down hill and felt gross. When it was clear that what we were looking for was not present, they took out all the nasty stops to keep us there and try to get us to buy something we didn't want for more than we wanted to spend.

Sherman helped us buy a Kona and he was great. Very knowledgeable and made the process really smooth. I was pretty stressed at the thought of buying a new car but he really helped us and now we are very happy with the Kona!

Reached out about a new IONIQ 5 that we were extremely interested in - luckily it seemed like it hadn’t been spoken for yet and was told by their internet sales dept that we needed to go in person before we could begin to discuss details. Although we live up near North County, we made the drive on our lunch break to discuss with a sales rep in earnest. I will give a star for the sales person generally being very polite but that was just about it. The process of forcing us to verbally commit to purchasing a vehicle that day without answering any of our questions or letting us see the numbers was off putting, and even worse, when promised to be sent numbers from their financing dept later that day, nothing arrived. We were subsequently ghosted, presumably for being potential customers who asked too many questions about a car that they didn’t even have on the lot yet so they could try to upswell to someone else. We understand that these are hot cars and we are very familiar with the conditions of the market. Turning away serious, ready to buy customers is certainly within their rights if this is how they’d like to do their business, but even a courtesy message would have been appreciated and left the experience on a better note than it has now.

Everyone at El Cajon Hyundai are so helpful and kind. I had the best experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership. I brought my car in for service and it turned out to be way more money than expected. I thought to myself it wouldn’t hurt to just look around at cars while waiting. I met with Joel who asked me what i was looking for and actually listened to my whole situation. He introduced me to Matt who also listened to my situation. Both were so patient and brought up cars that would fit with me and my finances. Knowing that I needed a car that was a little higher up due to my back issues Joel and Matt said they were determined to get me in a new car with a payment that I could afford. Well I left today with my brand new 2022 Hyundai Venue! Thank you Joel and Matt for your kindness and patience and all around great customer service! In my opinion this Dealership is great! I brought my car in because my engine light came on. I was going to another dealership for oil changes, etc & they told me that it would be 72 hrs before they could even look @ my car, I would have to leave it there. I was very unhappy with the other dealership(I won't mention who they are) so I thought I would try Hyundai of El Cajon. I'm so glad I did, Eddie & all the other staff were Fantastic. It turned out to be my Catalytic Converter, which was under warranty. They were willing to fix it that day but the Catalytic Converter was too hot & they close @ 3pm on Saturdays. Eddie asked me when do I want to come in to have it done, I told him that following Monday. They are very good @ keeping to your appt time. & problem solved. I'm going back to have my brakes done there as well. Also they are pretty reasonable as for their prices. Good job!!

Had a great experience here buying a car. I highly recommend salesman Robert Baker. He’s a great person who will make sure all your needs are met and all your questions are answered. I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz a few days ago, and while the actual experience at the dealership was pretty good, there have been a few things that have occurred after the fact that are less than ideal. While doing my test drive, my salesman told me the vehicle came equipped with a V6 engine and a 5000lbs towing capacity. This is something that matters to me as I planned on using it to tow a smaller camper. I asked a few times to verify that information, and now realize I should have done my own research. The vehicle actually comes equipped with a 4 cylinder engine and a 3500lbs towing capacity. I also wanted to have a bed cover installed and tried to ask several times how to go about that and was told I could, but that it would be done through the parts department. Now, after contacting the parts department and being told they can't install the Hyundai Santa Cruz bed cover on my trim level, I'm left with a vehicle that can't tow my trailer and I don't have an option to secure the bed. I was also told that it had Hyundais version of the adaptive cruise control, smart cruise or something like that. As far as I can tell, it also does not have that. I almost feel like the salesman thought he was selling an entirely different vehicle. I realize these are all things I should have done my own research on, and I feel foolish for trusting the information provided by the sales team. They need to train their employees better and provide them with ALL specs on ALL vehicles so they actually know what they are selling. In addition my vehicle already has some paint chips that I noticed after only 24 hours of owning it. So now I'm also nervous to take this "sport adventure vehicle" out and about as the paint color that I paid extra for seems to be soft as butter. Overall, it was a decent experience and I do love the car, but I do wish I was provided with accurate, honest and direct information, instead of just a bunch of "yes" answers to help push the sale.

Never have I ever had such an amazing experience at a dealership. Typically when we visit one, we never get a chance to speak our mind and inform the sales person what we are interested and what would be within our budget. As soon as we parked our car we were greeted by Zac. He sat down with us and listened to what we needed and was able to show us a car. Best customer service and we were able to walk out with our car.

wouldn’t even give this place one star.. from when i bought my car, to service & now trying to trade in.. these people don’t understand customer service.. for example… servicing my car & asked for all tire pressure to be the same.. all of the tires were off.. AND they found things wrong with my car and didn’t call for me to approve or even notify me.. they just sent the car back to me with things wrong!! Now.. trying to trade it in and apparently a sale isn’t important to them and would “take the time away from the used sales manager’s day”.. quite confused lol.. anyways probably won’t ever buy a car from them again & will only go back for them to honor changing the cabin filters and air filter and fixing the tires pressure

I went in being skeptical because it was my first time purchasing a new car. Sherman helped me out right away and answered any questions I had. The original car I wanted (Elantra N) got sold before I got there. Sherman informed me and said he was sorry, but told me they had a Kona N on the lot of I wanted to take a look and since performance was what I was looking for. It's not all the time a dealership takes what you want into consideration, but he was amazing. My credit isn't the best and I had my heart set on the Kona N after looking at it. Sherman and the finance team really worked with me to get me into that car without an absurd down payment or anything like that. The car wasn't ready to drive home as it had just gotten off the truck from delivery but they told me I could pick it up in a day at Monday. I was originally told the car wouldn't be ready till around 11am. Sherman texted me the morning off on Monday and told me my car was ready at 9am and he personally came in on his day off to make sure my car was ready and shook my hand and saw me off. Great customer service experience and will be asking for him every time now.

I came in to get my vehicle checked, they kept me there for 3 & 1/2 hours only to tell me they needed to order a part. I was fine with that to a point. Then they text me and tell me the part is in and call to make an appointment. I called and made an appointment. I get here and they tell me they are super busy and it’s going to be another 2-3 hours. What was the point of making an appointment? Furthermore why would they make an appointment during a busy time? Wouldn’t an appointment basically be a reservation for a spot for you to get your vehicle out faster? I felt this was super unprofessional and inconsiderate. I won’t be back unless there is literally no other option.

Amazing sales service provided to us by Zac. I had gone in since I had seen a car that I liked online, but ended up walking away from a totally different car but that’s ok! Since I arrived to the dealership, I was greeted as soon as I got out of my car and was able to listen to what I was looking in a car. He was very professional and helped me with all the questions that I had. I was absolutely great ful to have someone help me with finding out my car and I would definitely be coming back again for my next car.

I always curious about this dealership because of their advertisement always showing up ony Facebook feed. So I finally decided to just go in for the heck of it. I was having a bad day nevertheless a bad year. It was my birthday too that day. So I arrive and first salesmen Robert came and greeted me and told him that I was just dropping in to see what they have to offer. Everything was casually smooth. Asked me a little bit of questions, and went ahead and started paperwork process to see what I qualify for. Nevertheless I wasn't expecting to leave with a car! I was excited. Funny to say my horoscope that day was on point. Things have been a little rough for me and something unexpected was to happen that will benefit me. I wanna thank Robert for the customer service he gave, not pushy, optimistic with my purchase. Also too the cool guy that had me sign all them paperwork! Lol. Nick. He kept in correspondence with me when there were questions and concerns. Thanks guys! Whoever your boss is have them put this on for your next review!
