HTM Area Credit Union W Main St, Troy

Horrible!!! Horrible customer service!! When Jim was there and the employees that were there with him it was the best credit union now it’s horrible and they are not there for the customers!! They act like they have new rules so they don’t have to help their customers but reality is all of their customers are leaving and going to abbey where you are treated right!! Do not bank here I repeat do not bank here!!! You will regret it!!

I found a car that I wanted and the dealership recommended HTM in troy so I applied for a auto loan and I had to call to check on the status the lady said she needed to ask me 1 more question before they could determine eligibility said she would call me back if not that day the next well here it is 4 days later and still no update. I called again and they say they'll call me back but never do. The customer service here is absolutely unprofessional and they're rude on the phone like I'm an inconvenience to them by calling. They obviously don't care about their customers or the company for that matter!!!

They closed my savings ACCT and kept my money that was in the account. Never received any letters notifying me the account would be closed. It is considered dormant if no transactions within just 3 months. That is unheard of. Ask for a corporate phone number to call and they said we are it. The reason I never received statements is that they had my address wrong in their system. Being close to 60 yrs old I have never dealt with a banking institution like this. I will never do business with them again. Their service and policies is like their company sign out in front of their business. You cannot see their name on the sign as the sign is so faded.

Everyone is friendly and really helpful. Been banking here for a long time, and will continue to bank here for a long time. Very fast responses to issues or questions. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good place to bank. Online banking isn't stellar but I believe the Customer Service you get far outweighs the small drawback like the webpage. Their App does the same thing and works just fine.

They sent me one letter to tell me that they were cancelling all auto-pays. I never read their letters, as its usually just a bill. My credit went down 100 points before I caught it. A call would have been nice. Very disappointed in this service. Shop elsewhere.

Seems like I know more information about banking then the actual employees. I’ve been at this bank for 10 years and it’s drastically went down hill since Jim died.

If I could give them a zero I would!! I didnt get to choose doing business with these people- the car lot I bought my car from uses them for financing. The sales man I had & the man I spoke to about my loan from HTM were phenomenal HOWEVER the ladies that work in the Troy, OH office are RUDE!! They need customer service training in the worst way.. or find a new job!! Im glad I only have to deal with their unpleasant selves one day a month but I dread it every time I have to give them my money. Clean house & get people in there that actually like their job.

Very very very horrible bank since they switched management. Had my account over drawn because thye took out a charge for something twice. I disputed it snd they told me they were wrong and out my money back in for the second charge. Now I am getting charged for a fraud case I disputed (one I am talking about) for ten dollars. Doesn't make sense if they admitted they were wrong snd put my money in my account when you clearly could see I got charged twice for same thing. Would not recommend this bank at all for anything.

I walked away from regular banks almost 8 years ago,,,love the friendly atmosphere at HTM. If I have any questions or concerns about things they are very happy to help me. They know you by name not your bank account number...I will never go back to a regular bank I posted this review over a year ago and unfortunately I have to say I am not happy with them. Been trying to change to another credit union and keep getting the run around from them on closing my ira down. Everyday it's a different excuse. Since Jim passed away it's not the same and the new manager is rude along with several other employees there. Run as fast as you can away from them. I will never go back once I am done with the rest of my closing.

Jim and all the ladies at the credit union are a friendly and helpful group. I've been a member for about 15 years and wouldn't think of leaving. They are proactive if there are issues with my debit card and are quick and efficient when processing a loan request.
