Each time mom banks here in person it is a poor experience. For gosh sakes, she’s 95 she can’t stand at the counter for long. Our teller Crystal, was unfriendly, did not invite mom to sit, and did not give us clear expectations of how long mom’s transaction would take. A smile or a greeting would have helped. This was the SH 249 location.

I absolutely love HFCU! I have a credit card and two vehicle loans through them and they always beat anyone else's rates. When you call or apply for a loan they are always prompt with a quick decision and solid communication. Great group of people to do business with!!

I became a member of HFCU a while back and have had all positive experiences. I would especially like to recognize Sophia Tran - loan officer in the branch located at the TX-249 branch, Houston, TX. Sophia has been amazing to work with. She has provided me and my spouse assistance with auto loans, getting awesome rates in comparison to the dealer. Her communication and customer service is amazing and I highly recommend speaking with Sophia if you're in the market for a loan. She definitely goes above and beyond!!!!!

I just opened an account in this branch. The lady in the reception (Mrs. Charletta Stewart) is very kind and helpfull. She opened my saving and checking account, made my debit card ready, printed all necessary documents and answered my all stupid questions in 20 minutes. She is so experienced that I believe she can run this branch by herself alone. Thanks Mrs. Stewart...

Paid off an auto loan. We were told we will receive our vehicle title in 10 business days. Even called them to double check. Given the same answer. More than 2 weeks passed. Never received the title. Wanted to sell the vehicle and were unable to do so. After 3 weeks we called again and were told the person responsible to send us our title never did it. It was sitting in this branch all along. Called the supervising manager who promised to get back to me after finding out what really happened. Multiple weeks have passed. Still await his call. Didn't give one star because 1 individual we have interacted there is a nice person. Otherwise, in my experience, right hand doesn't know what the left is doing (or not doing).

I have been an HFCU member for almost 30 years and, luckily, have seldom needed a loan. However this year (2021), between me and my son, we needed to apply for 3 loans in less than 4 months time! Our loan officer was Glenn Roden and he handled each loan application with an efficient, responsive, and caring professionalism that kept me feeling reassured throughout the entire process. It was a painless and stress-free experience---a thing for which I am truly grateful, especially during these crazy days of unprecedented clamoring for all manner of financing! Half a star...just like another credit unions. However they infuse big fines without our knowledge. Fines if we do not give them the insurance docs in time. But its very likely we would not know how when or how to send them the insurance documents...would go to a more customer oriented place

I visited Houston Federal Credit Union on 12/26/2019 and received outstanding customer service from Shayla Chivers. She was professional, friendly, warm, and welcoming. She was efficient and effective in explaining the products available to me and was satisfactory in delivering what I expected from this visit. A bit slow at times, but outstanding whenever I needed a loan. Once my truck blew a piston, and I needed another vehicle quick. They approved me in one day online, emailed the paperwork to my work, I emailed back, and they sent a voucher to the dealership I found with a truck I wanted. Couldn't have possibly been easier. I can't stand banks. the regional one's aren't too bad, but the New York banks don't care about their customers. If we all did business with a good credit union, we could make them irrelevant. HFCU is a great credit union.
