Amazing small bank/credit union. Epic loan rates. Great customer service. Just moved their location close by. Been banking with them since I was born. Family members all have accounts here thanks to my GMA. Free checking accounts etc... Don't get scammed by big banks like wheels Fargo. I have multiple bank accounts with other companies and this will always be my main bank. People that give this bank negative reviews either had one bad experience or just don't know about banking...

Closed a loan today on a Condo Unit. Great experience from initial contact with HNCU President Brad Harvey, Loan Officer William and Loan Closer, Ann. All made me feel like I was the most important person they had to deal with that day. From the Loan Application to Closing was a little over a week. Couldn't be more pleased with the service.

I have had a very good experience with this credit union and with Ann here it gave me a good confidence that they were able to keep on top of the situation about the car thank you.

The folks at Horizons North CU really get to know you and care about your needs. So glad we left one of the "Big Banks" to get real service from HNCU!

As an investor, it is extremely challenging to find loan products that fits my needs. I contacted over 30 financial institutions before finding HNCU. Heather and her team at North Horizons went out of their way to find a loan product that worked for me and my property. In fact, after closing on one, I was so happy with the terms, I decided to close on two more loans. I am very grateful for the service Heather and the North Horizons team provided. Extremely unprofessional. Rene called my place of work and when handed over to my boss she let my boss know I was late on a payment. That is NOT information I wanted my boss to be informed of especially in such a threatening manner. My boss tried to inform Rene I would be in for my shift soon but Rene talked over her. Boss let me know she told her that sharing this information was “unprofessional bedside manner” but that she would pass on the message and Rene continued to interrupt her loudly and told her she needed to make a payment to her NOW. I will be refinancing with another company. The repercussions of sharing my financial troubles is still in the works.

DO NOT GET YOUR MORTGAGE LOAN HERE IF YOU ARE A FIRST TIME HOME BUYER. Absolute terrible service. I felt like I was “walking in the dark” the entire time while working with Toby Slatter. I told him in the very beginning I was a first time home buyer and was still learning the process. He never explained everything fully and this resulted in many “surprises” down the road that could have been avoided if he had done his job properly. There was no transparency and I felt like I had to probe for every answer. The house came back as portfolio and he said “sorry that’s all we can do” — then I asked about putting in a request to have the home re-reviewed to potentially be conventional (he sounded very doubtful like there was no point) and against his judgment, it actually ended up coming back conventional after they reviewed this specific house. Again, did not have my best interest because I had to bring it up. Then when it came to locking in our interest rates I had no idea they were “floating” until you specifically have to lock them in (sure, as a veteran home buyer I’m sure this is common stuff but not for someone like me) I ended up locking them in when I randomly asked him about it many weeks into the process. And finally, when we applied for MIP we got denied because they had more questions about my employment. I guess they only review once and do not re-review if the first submission fails. (AGAIN, something that would have been nice to know so we could prepare better and not lose the house we were trying to get!!) He said the appraisal was $550, never once mentioned it was actually $900. Closing fees are through the roof. I saved 5K switching to USAA as they have a flat origination fee and no “junk fees” — this place will nickel and dime you if you’re not familiar with the lending process.

I have been a customer of HNCU for 12+ years and have always had exceptional service through several auto loans. Rene in particular has always been fantastic and provided top tier service and worked with me through several challenging years.

Last week I was in my credit union taking care of getting a new key cut for my safety deposit box. The appointment was set for 11:00. I was running a little behind and contacted the credit union so they could contact locksmith. They said they would call him and let him know I was running late and when I arrived, the locksmith was there, my appointment ran super smooth and I appreciated a representative from the credit union being in the room with me while the locksmith did his work. Well done Horizons North Credit Union. We have been a member for 30 years and plan on many more. Heather is like my own personal banker, she is always there for all of my banking needs. Would not choose to complete auto loans anywhere else! Staff is wonderful and truly do work with their members!!

Ann has been very helpful with us in the four years we have been with HNCU, which has included setting up two different HELOCs and helping us find the best rates with auto loans. Highly recommend her to anyone - much better experiences than those we get through big banks.

I have been working with Ann for sometime now. I tried calling her for assistance and she right away rejected my call. Not one minute had passed by I tried calling again but from a different number and she answered right away. She declined my call because she purposely did not want to help me. I would’ve understood if she was busy at the time but barely 30 seconds had passed when I called back from a different number. It is very difficult to find good customer service here, to find someone that actually wants to help you. It has been a week since I was able to get a hold of Ann and I still have not heard back from her or anyone.
