Horizon Bank 8590, Merrillville

Worst experience today, they need to hire younger people in order to do transactions. The old ladys there shorted me on my money to take out and said I didn’t have enough funds. Then I went to another bank and got the rest I was owe. Hmm , interesting. I was told on the phone of how much Have and they refused to give me my money. I was so embarrassed and upset. These women have no sense and always hold up the lines. I will be calling corporate.

Great customer service. Been there for years and have no complaints.

Ok-Horizon bank was my favorite bank.I still have respect for everyone who work in Horizon bank in Merrillvile.I give for them 5 stars.They are completely persons with good ethic values..they respect their costumer and always have nice words and smile for them.Full respect from me and my husband for Merrillville Horizon bank workers. NOW- another side ..." Horizon bank" behavior in my terrible case.I really didn't know how much one wrong and fast step (consequence-no any previous experience) can destroit my life and put me in so hard situation.We was new in America.We had bank acc just one year.And Nissan make us prequalified for car.We was without any hope, but we decide-we can try and bye some Nissan car..maybe some bank give us credit.And BINGO-Horizon bank "pick up" us...they gave us high interes 9, 99%...because of our short credit history and low scor.We was sooo happy!!Our Nissan agent found for us some Nissan Rogue 2008..with 30.000 miles.Like new, but high price.In that moment -2015, we had one child-baby.We ask our agent..if need the bigger car can we change Nissan Rogue next year.He said- "Oh, yes for sure..don't worry, we will stay in contact".We bought Nissan and get credit from Horizon.Next year we get our second baby.Car was small but we didn't take any action.My second daughter was 4 month old when i was pregnant with our third baby.We expect baby for one month( due date is august 1th).In that moment when we decide try trade our Nissan-for us begin hell- magic terrible circle.We had credit scor 600.We start our search-visit many dealer places.Without experience.Dealers is like bad animals.They just have profit in their heads.Nothing more.Nothing.In every place-we was declined.My husband is worker for monthly payment 2500$.Because of sooo many hard inquires-our scor fall down more then 35 points for one week.We always reapeat same story when we visit dealers-please call our bank Horizon..see what you can...they hide facts- they don't work with Horizon.We now at begin-we don't have chance get credit from Chase, or some bigger bank.Our scor now is around 557.Our payment history is 99 procents on time.Our 5 acc with credit is in good standing mode.We pay loan for Horizon 2 years almost.And we never had a problem.We are still in negative balance..because interes is too high.We try with Carmax auto sale shop.They was amazing.They found for us veryyy good car Nissan Pathf.2014 with 30.000 for only 19.990$.They gave us excellent offer.Women who wanna help us is very nice.She understand totaly our problem.With workers in Merrville, we apply for new credit from Horizon-with same interes...for one year longer and with around 90$ higher monthly payment.And we are declined.Because of scor limit.We don't have 600.We try explain but credit department don't understand.They respect rules more then loyal persons in big problem.We try everything.Only way is lender who can give us credit with 25% interes.Terrible for one family with 3 little kids and one payment.I understand- every bank have some policy for function and work...but i am soo sad.And angry.And "underwater".We don't know what we can do.In Nissan we don't have place for 3 car seats.Our Nissan is still in excellent condition.But who cares ?!I don't believe in machines, numbers and strategies...i believe ih humanity on first place and personality.Unfortunately we have strong proof-our favorite bank Horizon don't deserve my confidence.She is like others -another banks...just important is so high profit, skin from costumer body and that is the capital rule and most important point-target.

Only car in the drive and it’s taken over ten min to deposit a check.
