This was my first bank place to start off with my debit card. When I first enter the building, it wasn't busy since I've came there during the time when it wasn't busy. The center person was polite and was helpful. Though I was nerves because I was excited to get this experiences. The person that took me in to create my member account was grateful. She knew what she was doing and kept things simple. Told me everything of what Hiway is about and information about the business. Friendly worker and cooperative. I also like the fact that it didn't take too long and the process of my first time had a great experience.

I can not explain the frustration I'm feeling. I have a car loan with this company. Times are very hard with covid past, present. I realized I can't afford the loan. I Voluntarily surrendered my car on February 11th to the bank. Sign the paperwork and gave them the keys. I received a letter saying they're going to sell the car on February 24th. I called the bank on February 25th . To find out they never sold the car . WHY . Because somebody from the car lot called in for me at the bank and said I'm keeping the car. On February 25th I made it very clear I am not keeping the car. It is March 28th just got off the phone with the bank. They're still under the impression I'm coming back for the car. The person on the phone was very rude. Very adamant about trying to song and dance me. Now they're trying to make me feel bad and they are bullying me. Even though it was them that took the word of the car lot and never called me up to verify it . never sent me a letter to verify it .never even emailed me to verify it. They've had this car since February 11th and it hasn't even seen their mechanic and it hasn't even been to the car wash it is nowhere even close to go on there on the action. Because they took the word of somebody calling in from a car lot saying I'm keeping the car

Deposited my check through the camera thing and it said the back of my check photo was bad so I redid it so many times to even count and it finally gave me money. So I spent the money and they took away the same amount later on complaining that my check was too blurry on the back. Why give me my money then? That was uncalled for and bad. Something is for sure wrong with the technology of hiway. Can’t wait till I can switch.

Worst drive up tellers, always a 20-30 wait. When you do make it to the drive up teller another 10 or more fir a simple deposit.
Thomas - our drive thrus have continued to be extremely busy post-COVID and we apologize for that inconvenience. One suggesting would be to try the drive thru earlier in the morning if that is an option for you. We also have branches in Minneapolis, Roseville and now our newest branch in Woodbury. You want to screw up your credit score then this bank is for you. And the employees have the audacity to talk to you with disrespect on top of that.

I know people have their bad day at work but if you can't deal with what you do at your job then don't work there I just call to payoff a loan and patiencely waited for 20min then someone decided to click on me through the process and was given a bad attitude to start with I was just trying to make this a smooth transaction.

Can't say I've ever had a worse experience with a bank in my life. From simple things like getting times correct to basic communication like telling people when they are being placed on hold...these guys find a way to screw it up. Interesting about the racially profiled review below. Those words have never come out of my mouth about a business but I got that exact same impression from them. Awful, awful experience. So many better banking options around. Avoid at all costs if you want to feel welcome at your bank.

Member here for 10+ years with very little issues. I can't say I've never had an issue, but the ones I have had have always been fixed with one phone call. Saved my family $90/mo. when we refinanced my wife's car. They have a shared branch program with most other area credit unions that let's you go to one those other credit unions branch offices and do almost anything you would be able to do at an actual Hiway branch, which is really convenient.

I moved from Huntington bank to Hiway Credit Union and it has been the BEST choice! Many of my friends urged me to switch from my “for profit Bank” and I have to say the feel is so much better and the employees all seem like they LOVE their job. Very different feel, I am so happy I switched banks!!

I've worked for them in the early stages of diversification. I had coworkers that were not used to working with minorities which made it very unbearably place to work. I then quit and filed bankruptcy. At the time I was employed there, a coworker told me if you file bankruptcy that they will come after you and harass you. After many years they are still harassing me. They are using special tactics to come after you.

By far the worst customer service I’ve ever had. I tried to work out an issue with an incorrect address they had on file (they never resolved it) then I tried calling for WEEKS and left voicemails trying to get ahold of them to pay a loan that is now past due that I can’t even pay because they never sent me any of my banking information due to the address issue. Beyond upset, wish I never would’ve done business with them. HIGHLY do NOT recommend.

Exceptional customer service at every level. Diverse staff that reflects the community. Large enough to provide every service yet small enough to feel very personal. I'm proud to be a member and do all of my banking at Hiway Credit Union.

As a member for over 20 years and other family members for over 45 years. I can say this place has gone down hill exponentially in the last 5-6 years. Terrible customer service, long wait times, failing to return calls after leaving messages when no one answers at the front, errors on loan paperwork, random “rule” changes without notice, etc.. One of which caused a massive issue with closing on some land because they dropped the ball! It’s very sad as my grandfather always used to vouch for this organization. Better off choosing another CU since rates are identical or better at other CU’s. Lastly, please spare the generic “Sorry to hear....Please contact us to share more” response also. Tried to handle it that way and once again was let down by this institution. It is certainly a shame this organization has turned into a main-stream bank.

Hiway has been a hugely wonderful place to keep money for many years! Every single time, without fail, the people from Hiway are extremely kind, patient, and exceptionally helpful! I stay there because of their kindness, flexibility, and individualized personal approach. I never feel lost in a mob of customers because they are not about size. Highly recommended!

hi-way bank should be investigate by the FBI and U.S Government. i suspect one of their employee is a thieves, stealing money from the customer account. there was many charge on Amazon & Ebay on my card. we call and had gotten a refund on our money and they rechang our card number and pin and security code. everything went quiet for 2 month and than i got another charge for $200 on Ebay 2 day ago so i call hi-way bank right away and they refund me my money. i know its probably a person inside the bank stealing my money. i am going to close my bank account and witdraw all my money soon. time to find a new bank.
