Hilltop Pawn Shop Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach

In general, I have a lifelong hatred for pawn shops, but Hilltop Pawn is different. Over the last four years I've used them quite a few times, both to purchase high end jewelry (a vintage diamond ring), and as an occasional loan customer -- and I've always been satisfied. If you walk in needing a loan, they treat you like a valued customer and a trusted friend -- not like riffraff that should be taken advantage of before you can screw them over. They are fair, friendly and a true pleasure! This culture and attitude of service is set by their manager and emulated by every employee -- sadly, I don't know her name, but the first time I dealt with her I knew she was biggest gem in that store, and I cursed time that I wasn't 25 years younger. So hey, don't be afraid to drop-in!

This is the best pawn shop in Virginia Beach! Great jewelry selection and even better customer service! When I am looking for beautiful jewelry, I will always go to Hilltop Pawn first!

Hilltop Pawn has an amazing and ever changing selection of jewelry that is less expensive than other jewelry stores and not just the same old style. They offer sizing and gift wrapping! Stop in often.

I couldn’t be happier with how Hilltop Pawn hooked me up! Working with Christy felt as if she cared about my anniversary project just as much as I did! I had a custom jewelry idea in mind and Christy had all the knowledge and tools available to bring it into reality, well above all expectations. Christy listens, understands, and can get anything done! Tan, the in-house jeweler, really knows how flex and set some diamonds and can deliver a high quality product within any budget. And the fact that they keep true to their promises and deliver on time makes working with them all the better. I will surely be back again.

My 1st time in a pawn shop. The lady who helped me, Chastity, was great. Very professional and helpful. The ring needed to be sized and she took care of everything.

Excellent customer service! Came in to get rid of old jewelry from my mother, and Christy and Chastity were more than happy to help through all arrangements. Managed to pick up a new guitar for my brother so the trade off was worth it. Recommend 10/10 to anyone looking for a fun and professional pawnshop experience

I don't know why but in my opinion if your advertising buying and selling diamonds and jewelry you may want to instruct the staff to at least ACT like they are looking at the items. The staff was friendly, and greeted us upon entering, but when getting down to selling the items taken in no care was given to even look at them through a loupe. No inspection was made other than looking at the carat stamp, then items were put on a scale and we were offered the spot price for scrap basically. The diamonds were never checked in fact they weren't even tested. So I personally would not return to this place to sell anything and I surely would not buy from them, after all if they did not test items to buy them what are they truly selling? It was quite disappointing to say the least, especially after seeing and hearing all the "best prices in town" commercials

Was racially profiled, will NEVER go back again! And majority of the jewelry is fake and flooded with S.I diamonds and Will Try To Low Ball You For Your Items. The worst pawn shop in the 757 has to be this one

This place has superb customer service! A young lady named Chastity helped us with our purchase and she was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. She was so patient with me as I went from case to case looking for the perfect band to match my ring. I will definitely shop with them again.

Wow! I was so excited to find out that I was the give away winner. I was a little bit leary as I had a different idea of what a pawn shop would be like. Hilltop Pawn is certainly not at all what I was expecting. This place is first class. They have every kind of jewelry you could imagine and it all looks beautiful, shiny, and brand new. The young ladies who work there are super sweet and helpful. They really made me feel special. I would never go to a jewelry store again to purchase any item. I would definitely shop at Hilltop Pawn where I would be assured to get so much more value for my money! If you are in the market for diamonds, pearls, precious gems, or antique treasures, then Hilltop Pawn is the place you should go!

I can't say how nice it was walking in the front door and three ladies all said hello and we're very comforting.. it was like talkin to long lost friends. They were professional,as I was looking for my first engagement ring I've ever purchased and they really made it a lot of fun and very relaxing.. Very unprofessional young girls working there with terrible customer service. I was treated almost as I was bothering them. I had never been to a pawn shop before and I see why. I ended up at MY Pawn down the road who were very welcoming and friendly as well as they almost doubled the offer I received from Hilltop. I do not recommend this place. Don't waste your time.

I’m not looking for a good shop to buy sterling silver jewelry since I already know one – Hilltop Pawn. You wanna know why I like them? They have class, variety, affordability and great customer service. I have been buying from Hilltop Pawn for a while and they have always remained professional. The reason why I prefer to deal with them is because they are very honest. Even when am away on some business and send a friend, they still serve him the same way and offer the same great prices. Came to Hilltop Pawn for the first time to see if some silver items I had inherited from my Mom had any value. Katherine was great and tested all my items and explained everything to me. Some was silver plated but a a lot was pure silver and I was very happy with what I got for them. Highly recommend Katherine and Hilltop Pawn.

Went in about 2 weeks ago to do some ring shopping and it was ridiculous how nice of a selection they had. I found the perfect ring for a great price but still wanted to see if I could find something else in the area that I liked. Believe me when I say that I searched and searched and searched some more but just couldn't find what I was looking for, I felt as though I kept judging and comparing all the other rings to the one from this shop. I finally went back a few days ago to see the ring which was still there by some chance and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Samantha was awesome, she's a sweetheart and definitely has great customer service. If you're looking for a pawn shop that has a good selection, good people, and a good feel to it. Hilltop should definitely be a place you should visit.

I never went to a pawn shop before, but my experience at hilltop was excellent! You feel like your in any mainstream jewelry store from the greeting from all the employees as soon as I entered, to the professional and genuine help I received from Enya! Every word that I want to describe how wonderful their services are seems to be an understatement. You are the best. Fast and professional staff. I git in on a really good day for the business as there were so many customers in the shop. To my astonishment, customers were being served so fast and leaving properly attended to. I was also served and informed about things that I didn't even know about pawn shops.

The first thing I noticed at the hilltop pawn on Laskin road was the impeccable cleanliness of the store. I peeked at the items and it was some nice looking stuff there. I love this shop. They expertly fixed my diamond wedding band that was missing a stone and cleaned it up so shiney, i almost didn't recognize it!! Also bought a beautiful diamond ring there. They were really nice and very professional.

I stopped in Saturday for some last minute Christmas shopping, I ended up leaving empty handed because the dirty blonde young lady who was working the counter was very unprofessional and rude. It was first time doing any business with Hilltop Pawn. I saw their commercials on TV and knew it was them that I wanted to take my business. I had some extra gold that I wanted to sell. This was my first time going to a pawnshop for a loan so naturally I had a lot of concerns about pawning my personal items. The staff was great and able to answer all of my questions. I was hoping for a little more than what they offered but the amount was fair considering what I brought them wasn't exactly high quality so I can't complain about that or say I feel taken advantage of. (Don't worry, it was a loan, not a sale so they won't be selling you my low quality jewelry). The process was quick and easy. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I don't have any other experiences to compare this one.
