The Wilkes Mortgage group is an incredible team who provides the upmost service to their clients. My dear friend Henry and his team helped me purchase my very first home and it would not have been possible without their help. They are persistent with getting the best mortgage rates for their clients and ensuring their clients are satisfied with the outcome. I am so grateful to have had my first home buying experience with such a great team supporting me throughout the entire process. You don't have time to waste. I included a truncated version at the top & a longer one if you are still unconvinced (below that). In short - Pros: everything. Seriously, everything about working with him is a pro. He & his team are professional, highly knowledgeable, efficient, always willing to hop on the phone (even 9pm on a Sunday) & explain thing to us. Most importantly - he got the deal done. He got the deal done despite all my thousands of questions & "first time home owner" caution. We felt safe, secure, & in amazing hands working with him & his team. In this competitive market, at times it was Henry who was helping us keep the faith. There was a huge education for us & he was there every step of the way. He cares so much about his clients. Comparatively we were "entry level" when it came to owning a home in LA. But he treated us like we were his top clients. We would not be in our first home if it wasn't for him, his team, & his connection to one of the best realtors we have ever had the pleasure of working with. He held our hand from start to finish & even beyond. More so than anything through this insane journey he & his family - we consider friends. He didn't just vanish when the deal was done. Seriously, get in touch with him asap & ask to work with Stephany as your realtor. Cons: none. In long - My husband found Henry Wilkes (Wilkes Mortgage) on Zillow. I didn't even know what a mortgage broker was (we were first time home buyers) & I was also a bit weary. It was around Sept 2020 & the Fed had just lowered the interest rate to under 3. Henry & team were quoting us even lower at a highly competitive rate (this was almost a year ago so please don't quote me on the numbers). Highly competitive rate, & all his HUNDREDS of 5 star reviews (btw Zillow & Yelp), & the fact that this was the head of the company. All this amounted to - me thinking he was too good to be true. I kept thinking it was a scam & letting my imagination run wild. It wasn't. He wasn't too good to be true. Henry really is this good (great). He walked us through what he does why he is able to offer us such a competitive rate. He works so incredibly hard at pushing deals through. He offered to us the opportunity to talk to other clients. He was at our beckon call. If he was in a meeting, we would get a call / text back maybe less than 5 min later. He spent evenings / weekend nights on the phone with us answering all my questions. He did everything in his power to calm the mind of a total type A worry wart / pain in the a** like me. The market at the end of 2020 was unlike anything we (nor our former agent - the agent before Stephany) had ever seen. By Q1 2021 we were very fatigued & felt like the dream of owning our first home in LA was not possible. We had parted with our first agent & were getting ready to keep renting. When my husband texted Henry to apologize for wasting his time & give him a heads up on where we were, Henry called us & asked if he could recommend us to Stephany. In the past we had been working with a family acquaintance as our realtor. Throughout that relationship Henry never pressured us into working with his people but did mention if anything wasn't working on the realtor side, he had contacts should we like to explore those options. TEN DAYS yall. TEN days after getting introduced to Stephany - we were in escrow on our home. 40 days after Henry introduced us we were popping champagne & slicing into cake in our new home. Without Henry we never would have met Stephany. Without the both of them, we would not be sitting in our first home. I was kicking myself recently for not jumping in faster to work with Henry & his team. I wasted so much time getting additional quotes from other mortgage brokers, credit unions, etc. We also wasted some time not listening to our gut when the first realtor wasn't working out. Throughout this whole process Henry was there for us & so incredibly patient. I cannot express my gratitude enough, to him for everything he has done for us. (Closed escrow: Apr 2021)

I would only work with Henry and his office if you are looking to extend your family. The moment we started the process with his team I knew I had an extremely capable group of people working for and with me to get the best rate and great closing time.
