Heartland Bank and Trust Company N Hershey Rd, Bloomington

Website is terrible and they don’t take payments over the phone. Was told I could go into local branch which does not work when you are out of state.

Horrible to work with, We went through Lincoln land credit union for our Mortgage and were unfortunate enough to have this bank as the underwriter for our loan after taking almost 8 months to process everything we were constantly waiting on them we finally get everything signed. Around February 15th we still had not received anything from this bank including an invoice, payment book nothing so by the 20th we call and sit on hold for 45 minutes we finally give up and try a few more times over the next few days we were never able to get ahold of any one till March 1st which was our payment due date after talking with them they acknowledged the issue and said if we brought our payment in to the credit union we had worked with they would make sure to back date and post the payment for that day, now on March 22nd we recieve our invoice for April along with a past due notice for March, these people are an absolute joke.

Worked with Doug Koonce on a home refi and was very pleased with the process. Doug was easy to work with, with regular communication in email and calls throughout. Easy, enjoyable experience. For us, Heartland offered the best rates as well so if they are competitive with what you are seeing elsewhere, I would recommend giving them a call.

I went to your location today to open a checking account as I am going to be living in Illinois for six months because I am a Michigan resident I was told I cannot open a checking account at your branch thumbs down

Banked with Heartland for years and have had very few concerns.

Had an awful experience with their mortgage team. Communication was poor throughout and they didn't return my phone calls which led to missing out on the rates we were looking for. I would not recommend them.

I would not recommend Heartland Bank and Trust to anyone. I set up my account at the Newark branch and I’ve had it for a month or so, and someone came to the downtown Bloomington branch, forged my signature, and took over $200 from my account. I’ve gotten my money back and closed my account, but the bank is playing it off as an accident. Personally, I wouldn’t trust my money at this bank.

I do not recommend this bank at all I was set up with text alert and it never told me I was overdraft now they put me in collections.There’s no communication whatsoever with this bank I just do t understand them . Now they’re telling me that I owe money not my ratings went downWith my credit score. I will never go to the bank ever again!

The people are nice, quick and easy, answer questions quickly and efficiently. Plus they have candy : )
