I did not sell anything to this company but I spoke over the phone 4 minute after open, to a very helpful gentleman. I asked for an over the phone appraisal and instead of trying to lure me in they suggest I sell it online for a better value. Do not let others bad experiences deter you from your own experience. 5/5

Went In about 3 weeks ago and was going to sell my pistol because of a move. Andy, the manager was able to convince me to keep it and that he could help me out with the shipment of my firearm to a new FFL certified shop to my new location. I was VERY Pleased with his customer service, he took great care of me and my needs. Thank you Hat City Pawn!!!!

Andy and Billy were so helpful when I went in to buy a new camera lens last week. They took the time to listen to exactly what I was looking for. The price was reasonable and they greeted me the moment I walked in. The pawn shop overall was very clean. I would absolutely recommend this pawn shop to anyone who is looking to do business with them.

Hat City Pawn is by far the best pawn shop in the greater Danbury area. They are the premier establishment and I would never consider going anywhere else. Their staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. They always offer the best prices for items you bring to pawn/sell. Their showroom is constantly stocked with a wide variety of quality products at very reasonable prices. I've never had anything but great experiences at Hat City Pawn and look forward to doing more business with them in the future.

When I walked into the Pawn shop I was barely greeted by a dude who, right off the bat, looked like I was inconveniencing him by showing up. I had two handguns to sell, both of them unfired and new. When I told him they were new and unfired, he inferred I was lying, even though he didn’t even investigate. He didn’t even open the chamber on either gun, much less inspect them. He plugged values into the computer, not even knowing the brand name, asked me zero questions, didn’t even ask the caliber (one of them looks identical and comes in .45 as well, no way of knowing except asking). I had a bunch of new accessories, including two full-grain leather holsters with both guns, didn’t even bother to take a look at any of them at all. The dude’s a joke. I have the best competition pistol on the planet and he didn’t even know what it was, lol. I’d suggest going elsewhere if you want to be taken seriously.

I've been going to Hat City for about 2 years mainly for firearm purchases and transfers, all of the guys are friendly and willing to haggle. Prices on guns are probably the lowest in the area and they are very fair with offers when I went in to sell a few guns (remember they're sitting on that stuff you sell! They need to make money too!). All in all they treat you right and make you want to keep coming back, especially if you're a gun guy like me ; )

I am from out of town and ran into a situation where I needed some fast cash. Stopped in to Hat City ( because of the website). It was clean well organized and you could tell it was well run. Andy and Bobby gave me a fair price and it helped me out. The guys were awesome and and had a nice chat about the area. They made the process painless and professional.. I am from the deep south and they treated me like I was a local, felt good. Check them out you will not be disappointed.

From the owner to the staff that work at the store, great customer service, spot on attention to detail on all transactions and they offer competitive pricing on items to pawn or sell. The store offers a great service to its clientele. I highly recommend then for all your needs, gold trade in, firearms, ammunition, firearms transfers are just a few of the services that they offer.

There is not a chance I can believe any of these 5 star reviews. I have been to plenty of pawn shops. The prices here are insane. Also, there are signs in the front that say masks required but neither of the guys working there (owners) had a mask on and they required you to remove your mask when you came in just so the cameras can see. Talk about hypocrites. Money hungry as well.
