Do not bank with this company. I asked for the bank to work with me because I was dealing with some financial issues due to covid. I've been making all of my payments on time for the past 6 years. Each time I've called, I get this rude woman every single time and she doesn't even bother looking into the situation. What they will do is look in your savings and checking account to see what you're doing with your money. What does that have to do with it when someone is going through financial issues due to the pandemic? What shows up on my statement should be no one's concern. For someone that has been loyal they really don't care. They want people to fall behind so they can try to send you to court and make the situation worse on you. Once I have my card paid off I will be banking with another company that cares about their customers.

If you have to call these people it’s a nightmare. Transfer after transfer and then they tell me the department that can help isn’t in until next week!! I was charged an NSF fee because an autopay draft was taken from a savings account without funds to cover the amount. The kicker is I never gave the auto draft folks the savings account number, they only have my checking account. When I called to tell the bank they made a mistake and they need to correct it all they could focus on was telling me how they couldn’t refund the nsf fee. I told them well since I’m sure it’s your error you will be removing it. The person hung up on me. I called again albeit a little angrier. I was on hold 30 minutes and had to breakdown the scenario again was told I would not have the fee removed and they couldn’t check on it until Monday when the ACH team came back. I try to be hyper empathetic, especially now during these COVID times and I’m not the type to ask for a manager or get upset at customer service, I worked in CS for 15 years so I get it, BUT this service or lack of really got under my skin. this credit union is going down the drain. I’m looking for alternatives, if you’re considering this institution be sure to read through the reviews.

My kids visit here, my mom visits here, my friends visit here even if we have to drive hours. The manager Rebecca and Samira have a smile and personality that makes you smile for days . They are quick to respond and quick to handle issues . I love that they always welcome me and always ask how my family is it’s like we know each other for many years. This branch has never been better and I’ve attended for many years but the past three years have been incredible . I hate using my phone for anything cause I like the in person interaction but mrs Gomez and miss samir have taught me more about mobile use than I’ve ever learned . I simply come in to say hi now since I do everything on the mobile. More people should be hired like them.

Came in just to get a debit card ended up leaving with my car refinanced at almost 5% less than my current loan. Also had my CC since I was young at a high interest rate, Jennifer told me I had great credit and could reapply and get approved for more and at a much lower rate. Which I also did. Process was so easy and saved me money in the long run. Super helpful and highly recommend. Thank you Jennifer!

GTE in general. All locations, website and mobile banking... Horrendous service and availability at Branch offices, online, and by phone.. Do Not bank with GTE . *"Note the BS response GTE sent me at the bottom... I was forced to bank with GTE because it was the only facility in my area at the time. When I first signed up they offered incentives of up to $500 for direct deposit and use of their card in the first 60 days of the new account for new checking account customers. Because I had a "savings" account with them that had been closed 3 decades ago, they told me I was not a new customer and screwed me out of the "new checking account" incentive.... first red flag ! In the two years I've had an account I have had several issues with availability of funds, customer service, and hours of operation, not only with the branch office but also national customer service. Their mobile app is rudimentary at best and extremely difficult to make (photo) deposits of checks. The mobile app also consistently has multiple functionality issues when it updates with Android OS. GTE does not offer electronic funds transfers from their credit Union to other financial institutions, it's either GTE to GTE accounts or nothing, which makes paying rent or other obligations extremely difficult. Thier bill pay service is managed by another entity which I have had issues with that GTE have not helped resolve when problems arose. GTE has also refused to intervene or help when I had problems with credit card purchases online and on two occasions I ended up losing money, or not being reimbursed because of fraud. In the rare occasions that I requested complimentary checks to send to family for special occasions GTE has refuse the request, nor do they offer any prepaid gift Visa or MC cards. I receive government retirement deposits which are concrete and distributed on the same day every month unless it falls on a holiday or weekend. GTE withholds my deposits until the following business day which absolutely infuriates me as every other government employee banking at some other institution receives their money the day it is paid. GTE also refuses to release those deposits early regardless of whether you sign up for their early pay program or not and they charge you for that service. GTE has no agreements with other ATM services so it does not matter where you utilize an ATM, regardless of whether it is fee free, GTE will always charge $3 minimum ATM fees on your account. The last straw is as of writing this scathing review during the holidays 2021, while on vacation out of town I confirmed their hours of operation listed on their national website for the 26th 27th 28th and 29th of December. I attempted to contact GTE on several occasions on the 26th 27th and 28th and could not get a hold of a representative in any department including fraud and card loss services. the phone banking service would continuously revert to " we're sorry GTE is closed..." even though their website stated they were open. I am absolutely disgusted with GTE and their banking policies. Their lack of customer service and availability is horrendous. I cannot stress enough how much you will regret banking with GTE, they are nothing but problems and one of the poorest banking institutions I have ever experienced in my life. As soon as I get back home from vacation I am changing to another banking institution. I strongly urge anyone, DO NOT consider banking with GTE and if you are a member, you know what I'm talking about, find another financial institution. Upon sending my written dissatisfaction to GTE they messaged me back in true corporate COA fashion "correcting" my statements .. for those reading this, I can attest that thier Website stated they were open during the days sighted above from 9am-2,pm holiday hours but thier phone services stated they were closed.

Hello and good day. I have been an member of GTE Financial for approximately 25 years now. I have always been treated like I’m apart of GTE. To this day I have always received great customer service whether it be from banking via chat, mobile application, online banking, or in person. When I have gone in person throughout the years I have built a great rapport with manager Jennifer Orozco “Jenn” whom I met in Carrollwood branch. Jenn is an outstanding employee for GTE and better yet she is just a great human being. Whether I have questions or concerns with inquiring about loans, suggestions on building my credit, and just tips in general Jenn has always been consistent. Jenn responses back in very timely manner always and always practices GTE values when speaking with her. GTE you have a great employee in Jennifer Orozco!!!!!!!! I was wary as I entered the GTE Financial Carrollwood branch. My transaction was complicated and I was unsure whether I would be allowed to complete the transaction. Rebecca listened to my request and initially told my they would not be able to complete the transaction. But she did not stop there. She consulted several departments as well as internal procedures to determine the legality and appropriateness of my request. Eventually, she creatively found a way to accommodate my request. It was a pleasure to work with a financial professional such as Rebecca. She listened to my request and beautifully balanced customer needs and internal procedures. It took a long time to accommodate my request, but the investment of time was worth it. Thank you GTE Financial and Rebecca Gomez.

I've been banking with gte for many years and they have always been good to me. I had to file a claim recently because of a unathorized transaction and man, what a horrible experience! I literally had to make 4 phone calls just to be transferred multiple times and get no help. I finally got to an agent and the line cut out. I tried to do it on online and it kept saying there was an error when trying to process the claim. I finally got help from a virtual assistant after hours of trying. Gte really needs to step up there customer service, this is ridiculous!!

Samaria was great, she helped me in the process of building my credit and made the process super easy. Everything flowed as it needed to and she made sure that through out the process I was engaged and all my questions were answered. The service I have experience @ this location is so different for me than all other locations. I am a business owner, I say that to say, i stop and deposit checks in over 15 different locations throughout the tampa Bay Area Pinellas etc.. Jennifer orozco have went above and beyond several times threw guidance and being extremely welcoming of any and all of my challenges. Just want to give them there flowers while Jen and the entire staff @ the Gunn HWY location could still smell them..
