This was my 3rd mortgage with Group Mortgage and Scott Ellis and while the previous two were great, this 3rd transaction was truly exceptional from start to finish. Scott is calm, cool & collected. Well organized and ensured all the details were handled so we never had to worry about a thing. He completed every deadline well ahead of schedule which instilled a lot confidence with the listing broker and the seller. I would highly recommend!

I enjoyed our experience. At the end of the stress and wait for close we got the job done . The only thing I wish would have been better is giving of more information . As a first time home buyer I wasn't really aware of how everything worked and would have appreciated a more dumbed down explanation of it all. In my opinion you can't ever give enough info, as well as make sure that everything is crystal clear. At the beginning we had talked about how much my wife and I made and what we could get approved for, but did not discuss that to get the amount discussed, we would both have to work 40 hours a week up until close. Looking back this makes sense but it wasn't really explained to us, which then lead to us having to pay more to close which was very frustrating and disheartening. It's a bit hard to maintain that expectation when you have to leave early to view houses or take things to the bank in order to get everything you are asked for. Overall it worked out, but DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS. Even the same ones multiple times.

If you are looking for a local lender to Colorado Springs, look no further! My wife and I recently worked with Joey Hansen on our first home purchase together, and overall we had a great experience with her and the team. Throughout the entire experience Joey was patient, helpful, and honest with us. If Joey wasn't personally available then she got back to us quickly or in a reasonable amount of time. We felt like the service she provided was of good value and the rate she offered us was comparable to others. However, we picked Joey because she backed the loan with a letter promising the seller $5000 if anything went wrong on her end at closing, which I believe gave us an edge in this wild market. Nobody else we spoke to would do that!

Tara and her team make the loan process a breeze. Extremely professional and timely with all of the nuances that were required of our remote close. Highly recommend.

Working with Joey Hansen and her team was hands down the best experience we’ve ever had working with a mortgage broker. Right from the start, Joey was super responsive and friendly. The website they use for the pre-approval process was very intuitive and made uploading the needed documents very easy. There was a personal touch and attention to detail at every step of the process, from our first email through settlement. I never thought getting a mortgage could be such a pleasant experience, but Joey and her team proved me wrong.
