I know nothing about jewelry but fortunately Carla, one of their sales assistants, was very helpful and courteous making my decision much simpler. Carla even gift wrapped the earrings! Love, love, love Greenbrier Pawn! My man and I were looking for a diamond ring. Nothing way expensive, just unique. I looked around at other jewelry stores but the prices were through the roof and the salespeople were fake. I cannot suffer a pushy salesperson. I decided to go to Greenbrier Pawn and wow was that the right move. My salesperson, Holly, spent a good deal of time with me searching the cases for just the right piece. Others in the shop also started looking, including customers! We were having a ball. And then... I saw it. It picked me. And it fit. Perfectly. I truly wanted to make this "our" ring so we spoke with their jeweler, Nick, about customizing the piece with a gemstone center. Yep! He could do it. Now, to find the right stone! Nick gave us the stone weight and size requirement. After looking for about a week we found an amazing blue green sapphire from a gemstone dealer in, of all places, Sri Lanka. Nick agreed it would be a great fit so we ordered it. Did I mention it was coming in directly from Sri Lanka? That's a loooooong way from Chesapeake. We were able to track it most of the way but it did disappear briefly when it was who knows where. What was supposed to take 7-10 days turned into over three weeks of worrying. Finally, we got word the stone was on American soil and on it's way to the house. YAY! But here's the way cool part - it came wrapped in a plain brown paper wrapper, tied with STRING and sealed with WAX. NO JOKE. It looked like something straight off the Indiana Jones set. We oh so carefully opened the paper and slid out the box. The stone was gorgeous. We took it straight to Greenbrier Pawn. Nick said it would take about two weeks. Holly called me back in three days. It was ready. I don't know who was more excited to see it - us or them! So, we got our perfect ring for the perfect price from the perfect place, and a cool story as a bonus. I cannot say enough about our experience with Nick, Holly and Greenbrier Pawn. Don't waste your money elsewhere. Get real value and customer service from real people right here in the 'Peake. I'd give them 10 stars but google won't let me. And, yes, we kept the shipping paper!

Came in to find a Birthday Present for my Wife. She found a ring with real stones and Baggett Diamonds. The percentage off special put the ring at the right price range for our expectations. We will be back.

I went in to have a lot of jewlery evaluated for my deceased mothers estate. Everyone was friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. Other jewelry stores wanted to charge ridiculous amounts to evaluate the jewelry, which was not the case here. They reviewed the 40+ pieces, and provided a great estimate for the sale of the lot. I am extremely pleased with the service the team provided and will definitely utilize this establishment again!

After searching all the big name brand jewelry stores in Hampton Roads I finally went in to see what they had to offer in the lines of engagement rings. I was blissfully surprised. The ring I purchased was larger and better quality than what was in my budget at the big name stores, and I paid less than 25% than what I would have paid. I wish I could remember the name of the lady that helped me, but she took her time. She made suggestions based on the description I gave and my budget. She was just awesome. I went there to buy diamond earrings. They have a very large selection of different types of jewelry. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about there selection. The price was too good to pass up. I would definitely recommend stopping by for going to a large retailer.

We looked through the cases, chose a ring, and were out the door again in less than 20 minutes. Prices seem really reasonable and they were offering an additional discount for Christmas. I brought a very person ring in to have 1 size up to it. This ring could not be left and to be picked up another day. I walked rite in and they all were ready to help. The jeweler sized my finger and understood my issue, he went to the shop and assess the situation. He came out with a plan and it was a go. He gave me a price that I was very pleased with. So pleased that I gave him a tip to get lunch. Never the less I walked out of here with my ring fitting absolutely perfect all in about 20 minutes! First time coming in and definitely will NOT be the last! 5 stars hands down!!!

Upon arrival I was greeted, which was pleasant. A sales associate came directly over and asked me what I needed help with and took me right to that section, so I was not just wandering around. I asked the associates option of what I was looking at and she seemed to give me her honest choice. I appreciated that very much. It helped make my decision much easier. My only complaint was I did not know the name of the associate that helped me. I did not see her name tag. So I cannot give her a good personal review. But she was very helpful.

I went to Greenbrier Pawn to buy earrings for my wife. I previously shopped around, in local Virginia Beach jewelry stores, but entered sticker shock. I walked into Greenbrier Pawn, was greeted nicely, but never put under any pressure. They were just nice. The young lady never talked about jewelry. She just talked about Valentine’s day, what our plans were, and so on. Turns out she is Jeff's daughter Nina and is the manager. When I finally told her I wanted earrings she didn't have what I wanted in the case. They had all been sold. She went over to her desk and in a couple minutes came back with the matching diamonds and said their (in house) Jeweler would set them while I waited. Best part!!! I visited greenbrier pawn shop recently while i was on vacation in Virginia. I’m kinda a collector of rings so going in I had no idea what I was going to get. But soon as I step in the door I was greeted by a lovely young lady by the name of Chasity. What really impress me was her knowledge on stones as well as metal. She made my purchase so much easier and I highly recommend visiting, more then worth it.

The teams at both Greenbrier and Hilltop pawns are very professional and very helpful. I felt confident getting my rings repaired through them when I didn't quite find what I wanted to buy new. They had lots of selection, lots of pricing options. This is not the first time I've purchased from them and will continue to do so.

I went in with several pieces of gold which I was trying to sell. The woman tested each piece of jewelry and concluded that I had about 7.5 g of 14k gold and offered me $55!!! She reported that most of my pieces would not be able to resell. I declined.... After doing some research and calculations, my jewelry is worth a little under $200 ($190 to be exact). My first and last experience with this shop please do not jump on the first offer and shop around.

Nicest pawn shop in Virginia! Came in here just browsing for my wife a anniversary gift, and compared to other pawn shops their jewelry is far nicer but still priced afforadbly. The sales Associates are also a lot friendlier then most other pawn shops I was greeted with a nice hello then had Samantha help me with the all the questions I had! We had to of went through 10 different rings before one really stood out and was in my price range! Samantha and their entire staff was so helpful! My wife loved her gift and I will b visiting again!

My husband purchased my wedding band and engagement ring from Greenbrier Pawn in 2007. Anytime I need a repair or just have it checked out they are so accommodating and quick. By far the least expensive on repairs of any jeweler that I have found. After almost 10 years I wanted to enhance my original set and Henry did not disappoint. Walking in, I was immediately welcomed! Which definitely made me feel comfortable to start looking around and ask questions. The lady that helped me was named Amber, I only remember because she went above and beyond to help me on my search for a present for my mom. Even when I wasn’t clear on what I wanted she stayed patient and gave me so many options. At first I was gonna go with a simple pair of earrings; but after she took the time to show me even more, I needed up leaving with a stunning necklace for my mom and the most beautiful ring for myself. I was there today and sold my engagement ring and wedding band. After I left there I didn’t feel right so I came home and I found the paperwork from the Navy Exchange telling me how much my engagement ring was bought a couple years ago. The ring was bought for 1,800.00 and I was offered 350.00 dollars. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was a young girl coming in there not knowing what it was worth. I do understand what’s done is done and I understand you are a pawn shop and not going to give me everything it’s worth because you have to make money too but I feel this wasn’t right. It always perplexes me that a place will spend tons of money to get business yet when you go in you're treated like cattle. Whether here or Hilltop, there is zero appreciation for my business. I had better customer service at the armory at Camp Lejeune.

The service was excellent and the the price was fair. They had so much beautiful jewelry to chose from, it was hard to chose from. I am definitely will be a returning customer.

Took my gold chain to have a clasp replaced. They helped themselves to 3 links of my chain which had 63 links. Got it back with 60. With the larger clasp it should have weighed 25gr. It went in weighing 24.6gr and came out weighing 23.7 minus the three links they stole. Make sure you take a picture of your chain at the store and then take another when you pick it up and compare the two. The links on my chain were symbolic of the 63 years my grandmorher was alive. It's more to me than the three links they helped themselves to. Theives!

Last week I came to check out jewelry for my girlfriend. I was greeted by Karla. She was kind and patient with me while I decided what to get my girlfriend. Been trying to look for a luxury watch for a decent price. Inquired about one at greenbrier pawn and that store did not disappoint! Karla was really patient, nice and accommodating to what i was asking for. Now I got myself a new nice watch with a really reasonable price and I can’t wait to put it on! This is my first time visiting a pawn shop and their customer service was really great. Karla helped me find what i'm looking for and suggested other items that I may be interested in. I have not made a purchase yet but I am definitely going to come back to shop for the holidays.

First time here. It was my birthday surprise from my husband who saw their commercial on TV. I really appreciated the sales rep giving me room to look around without bombarding me like some jewelry stores do. They let me just take my time and walk around looking and when I had a question or wanted to see something, they were not far away. The prices were pretty decent plus they had a 30% off sale going on. What I bought I’ve never see before, it was intricate, dainty and reasonably priced. Great experience and the sales reps were very nice.

I love love love Greenbrier Pawn! The customer service superseded my expectations! The girls are patient and delightful! The interior decor makes you feel like your shopping on Rodeo Drive! Their selection of Jewelry is to die for!!! I will never spend a ton of money at retail locations again! I love my beautiful vintage Garnet Ring and am looking to purchase more jewels from Greenbrier Pawn in the near future! Nina is an excellent manager! As Soon as I walked in one of the young ladies asked me if I needed assistance. I told her I was looking for something for my wife for Valentine’s Day. She wasn’t hovering but nearby if I needed her. We looked at a few items and I found something, which she offered to gift wrap for me. Gave the store 4 stars instead of 5 due to inventory selections, which may have been due to it being just a few days away from Valentine’s Day other that that service, cleanliness, and the pleasantries of the associates deserve 5 stars.

I have gone in to upgrade my wedding set several times and they always give me a great deal on my old set. This time Kaitlin put together a beautiful set for me I am so happy! I will definitely be back to work on the other 9 fingers!

Saw the commercials and then looked online. Visited the store for mother's day and had an excellent experience. The staff was attentive and friendly with no pressure to buy. My sister and I were very comfortable shopping. It definitely felt like a jewelry store and not a pawn shop. Their selection was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. My sister adds that everyone was helpful and the fi am sale price was easy to negotiate. She adds the selection was impressive and well-presented. After we made our selection they cleaned and boxed up our item. We highly recommend Greenbrier Pawn when you need something sparkly.

Ashley and Amber were a great help. I had went into the store first thing in the morning to look engagement rings. Ashley was very attentive and really rolled out the red carpet in customer service for me. Though I didn't end up buying a ring that day I did return later that evening to buy a necklace for my fiance. Ashley remembered exactly the necklace my fiance had pointed out earlier in the day and was able to offer a great price on it. Amber provided gift wrapping and did an extremely professional job on it. In the end my fiance loved the necklace and was blown away by the package it came in as well. Looking forward to buying from them again.

Today my fiance and I went in to buy an engagement ring. We were immediately greeted by sales associate May. She was very helpful, patient and informative. It didn't take very long for us to find the ring we wanted and at an excellent price as well. Walked into Greenbrier Pawn and was immediately welcomed and greeted warmly. The salesperson was very knowledgeable of the item I wanted to purchase. I had to be sized 8 to 10 times for the ring I purchased and not once did she complain. I felt as if my business was wanted and welcomed, look forward to doing business there again.

First they helped me via text messages. Then, when I did go to store they showed me what I had been looking for. After trying on a couple rings we found the perfect one for me at a very reasonable price. Great team, beautiful store, and a very happy customer.

Greenbrier Pawn went out of their way this afternoon to help me pick out the perfect engagement ring. Katherine made me feel welcome, unpressured and not rushed as she tried to help me decide what I wanted. Eventually we found the perfect set at thousands less than what I would have paid in a jewelry store. I will most certainly be back to purchase more jewelry in the future! Update: So this is a follow up to my original five-star purchase review. While it is still true the girls at Greenbrier Pawn say hello when you walk in and offer to help, unless you are purchasing jewelry their attitudes change. When you buy a ring, at least an engagement set, you have a free sizing. The girl who helped us size the ring and completed the online paperwork was not overly pleasant and when we returned to pick the ring up my original sales person was unpleasant. So, are they just out to get your money or did I have two bad experiences - you tell me. I felt like a criminal both times and unwelcome in the store. I originally planned on upgrading her ring here...now I’m not so sure.

I'm pretty picky about my jewelry and the lady that helped me was very patient as I looked through all their rings to find the perfect channel set diamond wedding band for me!! It is beautiful and I'm so happy I got it for an unbeatable price!!! I've been in several times and everyone there is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them!!! Was in the market for an engagement ring. The atmosphere was not seedy like a lot of other pawn shops are. Very clean and very professional. Theresa, the young lady that assisted me with the jewelry, was very knowledgeable and professional as well. She was patient with my questions and willing to advocate for me to get the best price on a ring. Very fair pricing and a lot of variety to choose from. Definitely worth a visit- especially for someone who is working with a tight budget.

I purchased a beautiful bridal set shortly after it had been posted on Facebook. I was in a hurry because I had a medical appointment, and the service was wonderful. Within minutes, I was out the door with my new rings. They are beautiful, and the price was very affordable. From what I could see, they have an excellent inventory and everything is beautifully displayed. I will definitely shop here again!

I am really shocked how many reviews this place has. Went here to sell my wedding ring and they offered me $225. For a ring that cost over $5,000 which they would probably sell for at least $2,000. I left the store really fast because seriously that was a “joke”. I wouldn’t waste my time or money here. Btw I went to other places before this and they offered me way more than $200.

Went in to purchase some earrings for my daughter and right away the sales associate Nicole made me feel right at home. They did not at the time have what I was looking for, but Nicole ensured me not to worry that it was far from a problem they couldn't handle. Placed an order for some diamond earrings and received a call from my sales person notifying me they were ready. I'm sure I will deeply consider Greenbrier Pawn for all of my gold and diamond needs. Always friendly and helpful staff. The jewelry repairs are extremely professional and very affordable. I have had several of my pieces repaired and always satisfied with the performance and speed in which it is done. The prices are affordable too. I don't use any other jewelry store for my repairs. I highly recommend this store.

I love this place. While on vacation we saw a few of the commercials on TV so decided to stop in during one of our outings. We were pleasantly surprised. This was not your typical "Pawn" shop but a fantastic jewelry store that also happened to be a Pawn shop. The selection was amazing and I found several items I wanted but had to settle on my favorite piece. Our sales lady was Robin and she was very courteous and knowledgeable and made the whole experience a joy. She even rushed the sizing so that it would be ready before we left town. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stop by to see what new items they have in stock. Everyone we came into contact with was nice and made us feel welcome. Hi! I love to go to a pawn shop and get a great deal and that's why people want to go to a pawn shop of course. I was looking for a ring and a woman there named Chasity helped me and she was so nice. I could tell she took her job seriously and wanted to help me as a customer to the best of her ability and that goes a long way for a great experience to make me want to come back. I will be coming back and I will for sure look forward to her helping me again.

Prices excessively high may as well buy your items new. Bad attitudes, rude over the phone, ask a question cut you off mid sentence. Can't use a debit card doesn't have an ATM on site. Laughing and eatting lunch while customers are waiting. a lot of young immature staff Will never do business here again or recommend anyone do business here. Had no issue with waiting for atf paperwork. Expected a wait

I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!! First things first this pawn shop has great employees who know how to treat a customer. The shop is clean and filled with a beautiful selection. I came in to buy a wedding band. The woman behind the counter was very intelligent and really knew her stuff. I ended up with the most perfect Tiffany wedding band. She gave me a price I couldn’t resist! I told them how my husband and I eloped and I need the band sized and solder ASAP for our celebration. They were so quick and kind about it!! I will definatly be coming back! PS. I started following them on Facebook and they do giveaways!

I dropped off a loose diamond on Wednesday to be mounted as a necklace. It was ready on Friday! The turn around was startlingly quick. It was very reasonably priced and the staff was friendly and helpful. I love my new necklace and I can’t stop recommending Greenbrier Pawn to everyone!
