    I used to love this bank. I used the telephone teller almost daily and then they started using a different one and it is absolutely horrible. Out of the 20 different days and times I have tried I could only access my account twice. I tried pushing key pad and by voice and it can't understand you. That is not a exaggeration either. And I did try that many times because I thought maybe it was just me. No. No it is not. I may start a checking account somewhere else

    Unfortunately no matter when I come the wait is longggg, even when there are not alot of customers. Can't figure out if this is where staff do their on the job training or what. Frustrating! If you can go elsewhere!

    If the weather is bad, be prepared to wait in it. The tellers has no sense of urgency. You will wait a minimum 30 minutes to speak with a teller.

    My mom came to visit because she was approved for a loan. The lady at the desk told her she would have to come back the next day with an interpreter . She came the next day on 9/8 with my brother to interpret for her. The bank asked him for an ID which he lost. Not sure why they would ask if he’s not going to sign anything…So now she has a THIRD appointment to a Golden 1 bank at a different location since she refuses to come back to this one. Shame on you Golden 1!! Stop making it frustrating for non English speaking people!

    Do NOT bank here at Golden 1. 1. First they make you wait outside in the hot sun! 2. The line inside moves slow ..🐌 3. They send you home if your deposit box key doesn't work. Because calling locksmith is expensive for Golden 1. 4. The app doesn't have Zelle. 5. Golden 1 does not give you any checks in case you need them on the spot (Chase / WellsFargo does).

    Long Wait The facilities were clean, parking was fine, and service was friendly. The only thing that was off was the wait. There were over 20 people in line, and the staff was moving very slowly. I waited 20 minutes, I was late back from lunch because of it. This was ~12:30pm. As a kicker, there were several people behind the glass not working desks. I overheard that they were managers. Well, a manager who's earned their stripes should understand customer service. And how standing around talking while a couple dozen people are waiting in plain sight just looks bad! Not faulting Golden 1, but I'd avoid this branch.

    After having issues depositng a check through an ATM & Mobile Deposit, I came in today to deposit a Check and start a Credit Card. Danny, a banker @ this Golden1 was very helpful. He was attentive and friendly. I asked Danny that I wanted to start a Credit Card after depositing my check, he took my request and we went to the side desks to begin the credit line. I'm new to credit cards and Danny explained to me the Credit Card services that Golden1 offers. He was interacting too. And we had conversation about each other Christmas and the new year soon to come. Danny took care of everything that I asked. Listed below is everything I asked. *Information on Credit Cards *Status of Shipment of Renewed Debit Card *Credit Card Advise *Reducing Hold Amount off my Check Overall, Danny had great customer service. And it shows how well the management is when they choose their employees . Go Danny!!!

    Dealing with Golden 1 has been unpleasant. A relative recently passed with accounts with multiple credit unions and banks. While each account presented it's own challenges to resolve, Golden 1 has been the slowest and most difficult of the five. They sat on paperwork I provided to every other account for two and a half months without a word, then after I started asking what was going on the next day asked for paperwork the other accounts did not, items our estate attorney when called upon to provide called "unnecessary and irrelevant" - she even had some more negative words about the people inquiring. Dealing with the loss of a loved one is hard enough, having to deal with substantial delays complicated by bureaucracy and then more delays just makes it all a little worse. As a final straw and insult to injury, every other bank/credit union simply handed me a cashiers check at the end of the process. Golden 1 said it was necessary to send it via certified mail. I've now been waiting a week for their "two day" delivery. A unpleasant capstone to a nearly three month process - one I wonder if is purposefully designed to delay the transfer of the funds of deceased former clients so that they may keep their balance sheets puffed a little longer. If you plan on dying at some point, do your estate trustee / successor(s) a favor and pick a different credit union!

    Went to this branch this morning and was transported back in time to early days of the pandemic. Guard preventing us from entering - line out the door. Zero explanation or information. Nobody was asked if they had an apppointment. We just stood out there, in the sun, watching them let one person enter even if four people left. I finally left after half hour. Note to management: Maybe have your security guard or another staff member inform those of us waiting what the approximate wait time might be, and why there IS a wait. Businesses used to care about customer service and making customers feel valued. I absolutely did NOT get that sense today. I was so HAPPY when I got back to College Town Dr and was greeted with professionalism and kindness. Maybe College Town could provide some training to Point West. It’s badly needed.

    This is WORST GOLDEN 1 CREDIT UNION and I've bank at quite a few in Sacramento Ca.The security guard at door is VERY RUDE only open door for women he want to talk to.The tellers are always in a huddle not knowing what to do so the line keep growing cause all the teller are getting help by the red head lady.No smiles are greetings just what can I do for you.Then put your slip in container and stare at you like move on lady.

    THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Never have I had someone be so attentive to my needs as well as best interest for my financial future. Danny was extremely professional, patient, and informative in every aspect of my auto refinance and credit card process. Aside from a fantastic rate I couldn’t believe, I firmly feel I have a support from this company that will keep me with them for many years to come.     This is review is specifically for Danny. Danny assisted me with consolidating my debts with a personal loan and educated me about the benefits of the Golden 1 credit card. He was able to only pull my credit report once but I was able to get approve for my current need and future expenses.
