Golden 1 Credit Union College Town Dr, Sacramento

I had an appointment at Golden 1 (College Town) on May 9th at 3:30 p.m. I was assured my requested account change would happen within 2 days and be reflected online. That did not happen. Golden 1 is unresponsive, chaotic at times and completely disappointing as far as customer service. I had 2 accounts. I now have one. At this rate, I will have none and I have been their customer for over 30 years.

Don't come here expecting a speedy transaction. Literally 13 people in line ( I counted) and not enough teller to keep up with the foot traffic. Otherwise it's ok.

While they are not the most efficient, they seem to try hard and are friendly and helpful. This location gets a lot of traffic and you may have a bit of a wait. I do compliment them on their security. I was working out of state and logging on to my account. They called me and were concerned that there may have been fraudulent activity. While their staff is nice and I like their services, their rates and lack of efficiency cannot compete with on-line banks.

I recently visited the ATM, while there I observed that they were monitoring the number of members inside, but did not enforce the COVID-19 state mandate to wear a mask inside a business. It was Friday, a busy day for the bank, the security guard was not taking public safety seriously at all.

The tellers are rude there and unwilling to help you like they should it seems more of a nuisance to ask them a question the bankers are really nice though. It maybe the teller hourly rate why they are always in a bad mood.

Great customer service and very friendly. You can make appointments online if you need to speak to a banker about opening new accounts. They also have free financial advisors for customers by Lew and Kyle and both are really helpful. Also has three ATMs out front.

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I went into this location because it was close to my new job. Went in to do a DEPOSIT ONLY transaction. I went in because my last name changed from getting married, but I can't change it on my account until my mom visits from out of state since we share the account. A teller with longer brown curly hair and glasses helped me. Well.. didn't help me at all. A month agai I had another location note on my account my new last name and I was told that it wouldn't be a problem being able to do deposit only transactions until I am able to change it. This lady at this location was so unbelievably rude and said I couldn't even make any deposits. Even knowing every security questions, ssn, account numbers, etc. It was the WORST experience I've ever had ever at a place.

Today Oct 15 2020 IF I CAN I WOUD GIVE ZERO STAR. I went in to Golden 1 ON COLLEGE TOWN LOCATION I expected to get a good service HOWEVER I did not. My teller did not deliver what I asked for which is a stamp, signature and date on my October transactions it was for my lender (in the process of buying a home( T-Minus closing in 2 weeks) so we needed just some last minute information and she could not deliver what I was ASKING HER BEAUSE I AM TAKING UP TO MUCH OF HER TIME. mind you there was no line at all no customer at all. the place was empty (no customer ) I was there at maybe 1:19 pm. teller was K. S did not get her full name and cant read her full last name. she was African American with blond curly/locks hair.

I absolutely appreciate & love their customer service here at Golden1 in college town !!! They always are so nice & helpful , especially Oscar & Andy they are wonderful employees! This location is so much better than Arden & Zinfandel, you get a 10/10 from me !!!

Was there on a weekend last day of the month. The teller line was long and I was so pleased when I was at the window in less than 5 min!! Happy and helpful staff!!
