This was the first time I've ever pawned anything. I was very nervous & had no idea what to expect. I highly recommend going here. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, honest & explained everything to me clearly. There were no hidden fees or agendas. They, truly, made me feel more like family than a customer. I can't put into words the kindness I was shown. In no way did they make me feel embarrassed about having to pawn something. I, honestly, teared up at one point because I never expected to have such a great, honest experience. It's rare to find a business owner come ensure you know what to expect & explain every detail before leaving. They offered me top dollar & made my process very quick & painless. Lastly, the item is one that I intend on getting back & unlike pawn stories I've heard, they are not trying to tell you lies to keep your beloved items, they let you know that they will work with you to keep your belongings as long as you keep in touch & make honest efforts. I can't say enough positive things about my experience today. I know that I went in with an expectation of the worst & left with a better understanding, more money than expected & new friends. I came in to sell a wedding set, I spoke with Giovanni and he looked at the set and he said that I should speak with the owner Drew. Giovanni was excellent with explaining how selling and pawning worked, made me feel welcomed and didn't treat me like I was stupid for all of my questions. I met with Drew the and he was awesome, he had a busy day as did I so we both had not eaten that day, so he offered me some of his crackers and crab dip. He actually spent time looking over my wedding set and really impressed me when he knew the size of the diamond without looking at the paperwork. For a owner and his employees to take time and make you feel welcomed and treat you like you're one of their own, is really hard to find. And the shop is really clean, they take pride in their shop.

Giovanni was personable, knowledgeable, and welcoming when I came in with some old coins to sell. He was clear about their value and worked with me to get to a comfortable sale. Highly recommend! Not like other pawn shops!!! My son and I were greeted by the owner Drew. As soon as we walked in, I felt welcomed and valued. He told me to check with other shops around town and return later. I stopped at cash America, Golden Eagle and Easy Pawn. At the other shops I was greeted rather gruffly and treated as if I had no dignity. After returning from my excursion, he gave me more for the item than what the other shops offered. I felt like Drew and his team treated me with dignity and respect. Ultimately, the warm welcoming atmosphere of Gold Exchange & Loan Company will have me coming back for all of my future pawn needs. They truly care about their customers!!!!!

Andrew got my 100 year old mission clock in for cleaning and repair after our house fire. Not only did he get it working like new, but he taught me all about its origins, how to keep it clean and running for another 100 years +. Andrew is very knowledgeable, and did an amazing job on my (priceless to me) family heirloom. He treated it like his own. Thank you so much Andrew, I’ve loved this old clock my whole life, now I know even more about it.

Walked in off the street with a hodge podge of jewlery we inherited and knew little to nothing about. Today I worked with Giovanni and Drew to sell a piece of jewelry. I had been to dozens of places in Nashville, and to two of their competitors in Clarksville and they not only were very respectful and knowledgeable, but they were fair in negotiations and have great pricing.
