I was referred to Stephanie Chenevert and she was great. I worried her so much but I am so thankful that she was understanding and available. I’ve heard great things about this company but Stephanie was the best. Met her during closing but with the many text messages and phone calls , it felt like I have been knowing her for ever. We worked with Mr. Brent, anything we didn't understand was explained. There wasn't a time frame on when he could be reached you need him he would answer, if he missed your call while in a meeting you will get that text stating he will call you back as soon as possible. The guy is just the best ever! So kind and always making sure you understand ever part of the process and will get to the bottom line of any issues. Would recommend GMFS to anyone I know looking for a mortgage lender!

Thankfully I have experience in the lending industry so I was able to do what I could to help, but as a customer I feel like that is not my responsibility and information should be CLEARLY explained, not just given. I wouldn’t use this company again for any lending though I am happy it got done.

A BIG shout out to my Mortgage Broker, Stephanie Chenevert! She was so patient with me, and answered all of my questions. This was my first home purchase and Stephanie went above and beyond. I am so grateful she was there every step of the way. I went with a Rural Development loan which usually takes over a month and Stephanie was on top of her game making this process as smooth as possible for me. GMFS worked hard and quickly to meet my needs for refinancing my home mortgage. All GMFS employees were friendly and professional. They kept the whole process very transparent and frequently kept in contact with us with any updates or needs. The entire process was seamless and was a great experience. The customer is clearly valued at GMFS.

Yesterday I brought my first home through GMFS Mortgage. It took me a year and a half to decide on a home. My realtor was wonderfully patient. She gave me a number to her finance guy. Turned out he works for GMFS. Now she did not know I was already speaking with a finance mortgage group. So I call her guy and right off he was friendly, welcoming and confident that he could get me the financing I need. Now mind if my credit was a person he would just be getting discharged from a hospital..my credit was on the way to recovery. He advised me with the steps I needed to lift my credit higher. Then we started the process and my car was totaled and I had to get new credit which is not a good thing. Kinda like riding a motorcycle with a cast on your leg. You can do it but it can go bad. By this time I am in the underwriting process. Another representative was just as reassuring as the first guy. She worked hard on my behalf and even when I was feeling like maybe I won't get pass the final hump she was encouraging. I don't know of another time in my life that 3 people worked so patiently and so diligently to help me achieve what I wanted. It was a wonderful experience. I am ecstatic to have a home that is perfect for me and my family. At the same time I will miss these 3 caring about my desire and working hard on my behalf. I would choose them all over again. Great group to work with. Thank you again GMFS!

I didn’t get the final closing disclosure document until a few hours before closing - pretty late considering I needed to get a cashiers check and drive three hours to close. The experience with my agent Stephen Foreman was good however. He kept me informed of the loan status throughout the entire process.

So easy to work with! This is our second time to work with them and will be back again in the future.

Lainey Franklin is amazing and extremely helpful. Her and her team worked very hard to get my loan done in a timely manner. There were a lot of issues that came up, from the seller and realitor, but she got it all done dispute the issues. I enjoyed working with GMFS mortgage. My agent was knowledgeable about the questions I had and responsive when I called and emailed. I am sure I got on his nerves. GMFS mortgage also had an assistant that communicated to me about what papers were needed so my family and I were able to close on the house early (we requested). The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars was because of taking a home owners course that I was not aware of when I started this process. The course was required for the loan I was getting. Other than that GMFS mortgage was great! Would I work with them again on my next house....Yes.
