These guys assessed correctly that our 2016 Sorento's driver side door actuator was faulty. They ordered a replacement, then went to extraordinary lengths to get us into a service appointment to ensure our car was ready in time to be transported out of state for a move. All this just before closing for a holiday weekend! Big shout out to John and Bennett. Your dedication to the best experience, saved us. Much appreciated. Also, while I was waiting for the car, at my request, Trevor from Sales was able to arrange an EV6 test drive! Even the base model is a phenomenal car with a build quality that blows anything from Tesla out of the water. Even though we're moving out of state, this Kia dealership has earned our loyalty.

From scheduling to receiving my car, I experienced high quality customer service. I appreciated the calendar invites and the text reminders from the staff. From the service desk to the courtesy call from the technician who completed my work, I was treated with respect. I value the text link that gave me an overview of other work that needed to be completed and the convenience of being able to select each item that I would like to add or delay with a check mark, and then send it back to the technician for review. I returned right at closing, where most people would be a little agitated, I was greeted with a smile and the service writer kindly pulled my car up while the technician helped me pay my balance. The service department went above and beyond to make good on a issue my salesman and his manager said he would take care of but didn't after several attempts. Sales manager told me to come in the following Tuesday and they would have a loaner and take care of the issue. Showed up on Tuesday and the service department didn't even know I was coming, did have a loaner or the needed part. John Kainz and the service team rescheduled me for the following week and all was taken care of.

One time they left a broken lug nut in my cup holder. Found out when I got home that it was MY lug nut and they left it off the wheel and didn’t tell me about it. Another time they took the antenna off my car and also left it in my cup holder. Today I left my car in for a 2:00 appointment for ONLY an oil change (planned to pick up after work at 5). Never got a call or email. Turns out that they didn’t actually finish it until around 5:30. When I did get there to pick it up, no one greeted or acknowledged me for actually 10 minutes. I just sat there. Waiting. Also overheard the service director say “did he look in the right spot? Because her light is on again” referring to a different customer, and that’s not reassuring about the mechanics they have behind the scenes… All in all- For a dealership the prices are average, the waiting room is about what you’d expect from a Kia. It’s very nice that they offer shuttles for services. Their organization is lacking though. Three and a half hours for an oil change? Really? Ps- I can’t tell if he left or was fired, but bring Mose back because he was the only rep there that actually talked to the customers. I’ve had very mediocre experiences since he left.

My oil change took 4 hours to complete. When I came in I was told it would be done in one hour so I waited at the dealership. After 2.5 hours of waiting I finally asked if I should just have someone pick me up. I was told that they hadn’t even started my oil change. The guy who runs the dealership was super apologetic and wanted to make it right and had my car dropped off at my house. They waived my cabin filter fee of 25 bucks that I guess needed replacing…but bottom line this took Up a huge chunk of my day and I had to cancel an appointment I had. Super disappointing for my second oil change experience on my new car.

When I purchased my car I bought the extended warranty. I just used it, 155,000 mile in and after several thousands in repairs, I paid $50. Yep, just $50 bucks. The service team was excellent, called me to keep me up to date on the progress and even got me into a loaner. John and his team surpassed my expectations. Thanks I just used my extended warranty again. And only paid $50 for over $1,500 in work. The team was awesome yet again, this time with Rich as my customer service rep. Great Job!

Gina and the Kia Team were incredible! Sometimes it can be intimidating being a female and walking into a dealership alone but that was not the case here. Gina made me feel comfortable from the start and answered all my questions and explained everything with patience. Even the facility is welcoming to women having a feminine product basket in the women's restroom. I saw somebody had posted an ad on Facebook marketplace. So I messaged to inquire about the vehicle in question. We went out to look at a few, and went on a test drive and really liked the vehicle. Unfortunately, the color we wanted wasn’t readily available for about a month. I received a message the next day, saying that one came in, only it was a different color. The color instantly grew on me. Marcellous, our salesman, was just outstanding to work with. Really laid back, not pushy, very knowledgeable not only on Kia, but all other cars! He even went the extra mile, came in on his day off to help us out. He’s a super cool guy with an old soul! I highly recommend you ask for Marcellous on your next car buying journey! 5 stars!!

Jackie the e commerce manager made an appointment with me, and told me the lot had plenty of sportages. We drove 45 min to get here only to learn she went home, doesn’t see customers, and there are no cars on the lot. However, when we were leaving the house she sent a text saying she’ll be All we ask is for people to be genuine and honest. Jackie was neither. A terrible experience. Kindness and honesty should not be this difficult. Shame on Kia. Shame on Jackie. Do better. We were set to drive off the lot in a new car. All she saw were numbers and said whatever she could to get us in. I am apalled.

Service writer was nice and friendly same as the service manager . Made an app for an oil change and tire rotation. And it took them close to 2 hours to complete both services ! I understand if you are under staffed . But please let your customers know . So they can plan accordingly .

Very disappointed in the service we received at Gerald Kia. We are a military family coming back from serving 3 years in Japan and facing a much inflated housing and automobile market in the US versus when we left in 2019. The US does not allow bringing our vehicles back from Japan, so we are now needing to buy 2 cars. Gerald has the vehicle we have been looking for and wouldn’t budge from a $5,000 premium over MSRP. We have made a lot of sacrifices for this country and it disappoints me that this dealership will not consider MSRP, which I am sure still provides a hefty profit for them.

I recommend asking for Jordan he’s a great sales man Edit:The Finance and management department never answer calls. I have been calling for over a week about a warranty sold to me by this DEALERSHIP and have even spoken to them in person. But nobody can explain to me or provide a record explaining what I bought. At this point I’m stopping payments for this “insurance sold to me by the dealership” through my bank. Management and finance needs to do better.

I did not purchase my Kia at Gerald. My check engine light came on so I had called the Naperville location to see if they could get me in since my dealer could not and never returned my call (not a great past two times for oil changes at my location as well). Jessica the customer service representative was so helpful and made it possible to get me in to their North Aurora location. She was very friendly and went above and beyond to help me out. I brought my car in Friday and they had it all day. The code was an odd one for them so they said I would hear back from them in the next few days when KIA tech called them back. Well I just received a call from Kyle V and they are going to replace my transmission. Even though I live over 45 minutes away I will be definitely using GERALD for my oil changes and future service needs. Keep up the great work!

My engine light went on Friday night and I had company in for the weekend. I took my car in early Saturday to take a look at it. I had no expectation that they would even be able to look at my car until Monday since they were completely booked. I’m really happy with the service I received from Gerald Kia in North Aurora. I was not overcharged for something I didn’t need, but instead, the issues were explained in a clear logical way, the repairs were done, I was told what to look for in the future to avoid problems and, for once, I didn’t have to take out a loan to pay for my repairs. My husband and I have been searching for a Kia Carnival for a couple weeks. I spoke with Jim at Gerald Kia in North Aurora. These cars are far and few between. We knew they didn’t have the trim we liked but we wanted to test drive one anyway. They ended up having exactly what we were searching for at another one of their locations. I could not be happier with the purchase I made at Aurora Kia today! Usually I am really skeptical about buying a car..But Cosme who is a relatively new employee ( although you couldn’t tell) gave me a very thorough and detailed explanation on the car I had my eye on and no question went unanswered and I can rest easy that I have made tab right purchase. Their online appointment system makes it super easy to schedule my appointments with suggestions on what services I should get based on my mileage. Jamie has been my main service tech when I've visited and he's great at leveling with me when I need additional unplanned services. He gives honest estimates and if a service can be pushed out to help with financial budgets (my own) he let's me know that too. First time getting an oil change at the North Aurora location and this was probably the FASTEST oil change I have ever gotten. I usually go to the Gerald Kia in Naperville (& have been for the past 4 years) and It’s always an hour and half or more of a wait. Was definitely impressed and definitely coming here instead. Staff was very nice and welcoming as well.

Got a car here in 2018 and come to them for every service. Jaime always helps us at the service desk and he is great! They have good prices and service is amazing! A bonus that just made me write this review is they have feminine products in the bathroom in case you are in need! I love that they provide it. Something so small really makes a difference and stands out! Thank you! There is a kid spot so they can play and watch tv. Water, coffee, and snacks available in the waiting room. Overall, great dealership.

I've used Gerald Kia service since I bought the car. Staff is polite, helpful, and respectful. They're surprisingly right about how long repairs/service will take. They even do what I call special service: for example, I've gone in with my tire gauge reading low, and someone checks them all and puts air in where needed, no charge.

I did not experience a pressure sale like at others dealers I have visited. I did most of the paperwork/application over the phone. My salesperson Eric even drove to pick up the car in the color I wanted. When Eric promised me something, like calling back with information at a specific time, he followed through. Dropped off car for an 830am appointment. No one even bothered to call me with any status update or anything until I called at 4pm. Supposedly the advisor was too busy to talk to me about my car. Called to speak to the general manager and not even a call back from him either. So finally got a hold of them and said oh we need the car overnight. So the next day comes and same thing, no called me with any update til I called at 11am. All for them to say is nothing wrong with car but clearly there is something wrong. Avoid this place. Service is horrible especially if you live out of town. I will not be coming back here

Gerald Kia of North Aurora helped me out immensely. My car engine died in front of the auto mall on my home. John, the service manager, happened to be driving by and stopped to help me. He went and got the general manager, Tim, and helped push my car to the dealership to get it out of the road. They loaned me a car for the night to get home so I could take time to make a decision on what I wanted to do. I went back the next day and worked with Oscar who helped to break down everything about the two cars I was deciding between and helped get me a payment at a rate that worked best for me. I went in for a free software update but tech found a nail in one of my wheels which explained why my tire warning light would not go off after air was put in it. Ramiro was able to help with my purchase today, he was helpful and knowledgeable about the brand. I was not knowledgeable about the Kia brand but they blow my mind with the exceptional details on the interior and exterior of the vehicles. The Finance and management department never answer calls. I have been calling for over a week about a warranty sold to me by this DEALERSHIP and have even spoken to them in person. But nobody can explain to me or provide a record explaining what I bought. At this point I’m stopping payments for this “insurance sold to me by the dealership” through my bank. Management and finance needs to do better.

We had the most dishonest experience in 30 years of buying cars. I am not sure if Jacqueline Pierce works for Gerald Kia, but everything she told us over the phone was a blatant lie just to get us to show up. They even had the gall to offer us $2000 less for the car we were selling than was offered by another dealership, even after Jacqueline said they would match it. Lie upon lie upon lie. When we showed up, suddenly our car was worth less, there were no deals to be had (even though we had an email from Jacqueline with deals), and there were no cars on the lot even though she told us there were many. Lies lies lies. Will never set foot on another Gerald property.

Came in for Service- the service over all was good. Got everything taken care of that needed to be done on my vehicle. While waiting I over heard the Service Manager speaking very rudely to what I found out was a new Employee. The Service advisor was asking a question to the manager & the managers actions were disgusting. Everytime my husband & I come in for service we happen to notice there is a new crew of employees every single time. I wonder why… I felt so bad for the new service advisor that he was asking a question & the manager didn’t even care to pay attention to him or give him the time of day. How are you going to hire someone but not help them when they are asking? I think instead of trying to hire a new crew everytime we come in they should consider hiring A NEW SERVICE MANAGER. This was so unprofessional from now on I will take my service else where & be telling all my family/ friends to not come here. If you as a business/ manager can not respect your employees than how would you treat customers? Very disgusted with what I seen. Will not be back.

One time they left a broken lug nut in my cup holder. Found out when I got home that it was MY lug nut and they left it off the wheel and didn’t tell me about it. Another time they took the antenna off my car and also left it in my cup holder. Today I left my car in for a 2:00 appointment for ONLY an oil change (planned to pick up after work at 5). Never got a call or email. Turns out that they didn’t actually finish it until around 5:30. When I did get there to pick it up, no one greeted or acknowledged me for actually 10 minutes. I just sat there. Waiting. Also overheard the service director say “did he look in the right spot? Because her light is on again” referring to a different customer, and that’s not reassuring about the mechanics they have behind the scenes… All in all- For a dealership the prices are average, the waiting room is about what you’d expect from a Kia. It’s very nice that they offer shuttles for services. Their organization is lacking though. Three and a half hours for an oil change? Really? Ps- I can’t tell if he left or was fired, but bring Mose back because he was the only rep there that actually talked to the customers. I’ve had very mediocre experiences since he left.

Great customer service. Friendly staff. No waiting and they got me in and back on the road in less than an hour and a half. Plus, they gave me a very understandable list of any work I may need in the future along with an explanation of what each service does and why it's important. Poor communication. For the simplest of things, my car is tied up all a day or two without a loaner. One time they left the oil plug loose and they had to replace the engine. Service is very frustrating to deal with.

The Finance Manager was great...actually caught a mistake by the sales associate. We were happy with he speed of the process, but not particularly with the efficiency of the salesman we had since he talked fast, then didn't fill us in on details we needed to know at the time. Also, if arriving Saturday at 9 a.m., when they open, you may not find a single soul. We had to find their meeting room, knock, and ask for help!

I called in and spoke with Ed M, the manager and he was able to schedule my appointment and be sure the exact car I was looking for was available and pulled up when I got to the dealership. I got in and started working with Adil F, the salesman. He got some information from me and took my right out to the car. I have never had a salesman actually know all of the features of the car. DO NOT TRUST SERVICE CENTER! SCAM! I'm writing an honest review of my experience so consumers have the data. I am also including the estimate and a picture. I brought my 2017 Sportage in for warranty work (bumper to bumper) as the car was leaking oil and the transmission slipping. The service center said that the oil pan was scratched/dinged, that I must have hit something (which never happened since I have owned the vehicle, that was purchased certified preowned) and therefore not covered under warranty for that repair. I said that is fine and to just inspect the transmission issue. They said that they wouldn't diagnose the transmission until they fixed the oil leak. The picture they provided showed a small ding on the oil pan. I therefore went in to look myself and saw that there was no way that the fracture in the oil pan was caused by the minor scratch and was clearly cracked due to a faulty part (most likely temperature change). The price quoted for the oil pan and splash guard was $1,209.74 (see below) a price nearly four times what a national chain service center quotes. In discussing with other people who have attempted to have warranty work done at this dealership, this is common practice and they will only honor warranty work if fight tooth and nail (expect to be overcharged for any work not covered). I hope bringing these unprofessional practices to your attention helps in making a decision on using their service center.

Gerald Kia is a fantastic place to bring your car for service. Normally, when you go to a dealership or any auto mechanic, you are constantly being bombarded with additional things, most of them expensive things, that need to be done to your car in addition to the oil change you are requesting. This is not a problem If you understand the mechanics of a car, but I do not. My requirements of a car are for it to get me from Point A to Point B as efficiently as possible. Additionally, while the above is happening, it transpires as condescending conversation with the mechanic speaking slowly and repeatedly asking if I understand or he should just talk to my husband or should he write it down so I can consult with my husband. With all that being said, the people who work in theGerald Kia service center are amazing and not like that at all. I have never been pushed to purchase additional services, but they have graciously answered questions I had on potential services. I feel respected and treated as an equal with I converse with them, and not treated as an idiot.

Very polite talked to me about upcoming vehicles. Only negative take away was I took my car a 2021 for a oil change with multi point inspection. My engine light was on I figured it was because my oil needed to be changed. I drove away thinking the light would turn off but it didn’t, there was a error with some sensor. Not sure why I was able to drive away with a engine light on. But was able to quickly make a appointment to get it fixed

Went in just looking for a Kia telluride in stock to test drive. Went in and was greeted by Gina. Gina was EXTREMELY nice and helpful! Answered all my questions about the tellurides, was able to test drive one as well. After the test drive she explained the process of getting a telluride broke down the trim levels and cost for me. Needless to say a deposit was put down for the telluride. I was told a few week wait possibly sooner. Was updated frequently on status of the suv. Any and all questions were answered promptly and professionally! To my surprise car came in sooner than expected and the buying process was Easy. No one tried to pressure you into a sale but were willing to work with you and answer all questions before any decisions were made. I would recommend anyone looking to buy a Kia to stop there!

I most say my experience at Gerald Kia was very enjoyable. I went in just to look for a new work vehicle. As I walked in I was greeted by Gina. She was very polite and respectful. I told her what I was there for, just to look. Horrible experience! My wife and I went to look for a new vehicle. We told the salesman, Joe, up front we were not going to buy today, only looking. Joe was great, knew the vehicles well, and easy to talk to. When asking for a quote to compare he started the "buy today" pitch, and I repeated we were not going to buy today, but that we loved the car and would likely come back to buy. We were told they wouldn’t give a price until we signed a form saying if we were happy with the price we’d sign today. I originally said no, but wanted the price so signed it telling Joe again we wouldn’t buy today. Joe came back with the price which was just MSRP and a bunch of dealer fees and taxes, we thanked him and said that didn’t work for us today. Joe went and got a manager. The manager was hostile, threw a paper at me, got extremely angry, and told us to leave the dealership. I have never experienced something that insanely unprofessional before. He was so angry it scared my kids that were with us. I feel really bad for Joe because he did a great job, but the manager that needs anger management blew him a sale.

Went into Gerald Kia after after a not so stellar experience at another dealership in the area. We were promptly greeted by a salesman named Damian. Off the bat he was warm, friendly, and truly listened to what my requirements in a new vehicle were. I came in there firm and on a tight budget but needing a reliable and safe newer vehicle. The whole team was extremely welcoming. It was clean, everyone maintained a distance, wore their masks, but made an effort to gesture happiness without being able to see smiles. Damian and the team at Gerald Kia were wonderful and made sure I not only walked out within my budget, but also in a brand new 2021 with a lifetime powertrain warranty. I never felt pressured and they were all genuine about helping me get into a new car that I could afford. On top of that, I left with a model I absolutely love! HIGHLY recommend.

Stopped by Gerald Kia last week in search of a new car after I decided it was time for a new one. Upon entry, I was quickly greeted by a salesperson named Tim. He asked me how my day was going and we had a nice conversation before even looking at cars. This spoke volumes about the salesman and the dealership and I knew that Gerald was going to be the next place I bought a car from. I was also very impressed by the willingness of everyone at the dealership to adhere to COVID guidelines. Everyone was socially distant and wearing masks, making me feel very comfortable about my time at the dealership without having to worry about potential exposure.
