As always they are classy. Anytime I'm in the neighborhood I stop in and somehow Renata convinces me it's time for something new. This place is the best! Bianca is amazing!!! I had pawned my ring due to hard times and forget about it and when I remembered it expired months ago. I thought I lost it and was devastated. Now by me making this statement should tell you what how long l’ve been coming here with my mother at that time and they were a little hole in the wall and a great store and still great service always.! My mother knew the owners and a few workers as well she knew Mr Joe who is just the best he is so kind and understanding he’s sweet heart and my mom passed in 2007. honest sellers, I originally bought a breitling watch ($2,500) from them for my dad. He ended up not liking it and I brought it back for a return. I was a little worried that they would not accept my return because there was nothing wrong with the watch and it was a lot of money. I used to frequent the Gem that was located across from BAM for years! Acquired some great gold pieces that will be great heirlooms for my children. When you visit one of their locations, take your time. No obligation but great finds don't really catch your eye on the first look around.

First time pawning and first time at this main location.....let’s just say please based this on my unbiased experience. Outside I was greeted and it felt nice and warm probably by security and staff from different area. It was cold as hell inside meaning the workers ; very straightforward I appreciate Donovan going the extra mile to service me and meet me as close to my number as possible. Even inquiring about a different amount based on my initial request. Lisa who I wasn’t even dealing with maybe a worker who should be glad to be employed . If this is an ethically based company she needs a lesson on code and conduct in front on clients. Whether you think their request is erroneous or not. Lisa snickering in the background and prancing behind the counter but offering no assistance but presence. I just can’t even first time going and of course last time going .....once I pick up my ticket. I just want to remind the employees there that it is their business to maintain professionalism at all times even in adversity. Donovan was the only one who exuded it at the end of course cause at first he might’ve been entertained and distracted by Lisa’s rebuff . I’m also writing under my name as I want them to see the name if they ever so choose to look me up and remember the interaction.

The location on 8th Avenue in Manhattan is my favorite location. I always deal with Leslie who is truly amazing. She is very knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile to make all her customers happy. Excellent customer service always. The entire staff is fantastic and accommodating.

Guys I 've done business with you for years ... trying to do MORE business by paying for a new ring that I saw...but if there's some laziness around 5 min before closing, I'd rather go else where. I think the Corp needs to see this review. If you're still opened before the ACTUAL closing time, you still need to work and do your job. I guess I won't buy that 800-900 dollar cocktail diamond ring after all.

Wow what can I say but today Dominique from Gems Park Slope location offered me the best customer experience. I had an issue that was going to put me in a negative direction and because of her desire to understand her customers situation, she worked with me to provide me the relief and peace of mind that I needed despite having to go through a hardship having to pay off my loan. I had a wonderful experience here it was my first time pawning and i did my research and decided to give this place a shot because of the positive reviews. I am a believer now at the back to back 5 star reviews, i walked out more then happy. I had a situation and needed money right then and there and sure enough walked out with an excellent amount of money for what i brought in (bracelet and necklace) and to make my experience so much better the interest to get it out when im ready (you get 4 months) was awesome.
