Ten out of ten. I forgot her name but the young lady who works basically all the time I go there is amazing. She always helps me out with the best prices on whatever I take to loan and that's why I always go there whenever I need help and want to only pawn an item without selling it forever. Always gives me more than a good price and never tries to rip me off. Many of my friends say the same thing as well. 9 out of ten places rip you off and offer half the price cause they think they can take advantage of you but this place rather help knowing they can make money and it still being a fair deal to both sides. Highly recommend

Very easy to deal with. I needed help a few months ago and had to pawn an item. They were very helpful. Didn’t take a long time to process paperwork. They explained there policy and how not to lose your item. Felt very comfortable leaving my item. I definitely would recommend this place. If I’m ever stuck again I will be going to this Gem pawnbrokers

This was an incredible place to go to for some last minute Holiday Gifts. The guy behind the window, (Sean I believe) was very nice and hospitable. He gave me one hell of a deal, and even lowered the price again to accommodate me seeing I was a little short. I will be a lifelong customer for sure.

I’ve been to gem pawnbrokers a few times now and they really know how to work with you. Sean the stores manager is very good at what he does and knowledge about diamonds. He was very helpful and I enjoyed working with him. I give him 5 stars for his professionalism.

Sean is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable Jeweler I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! He is consistently warm and friendly, patient when answering my many questions, and extremely professional every time I have done business with him! I highly recommend Sean, I trust him completely!!

I have been doing business at the Hicksville and Astoria locations for years. Today I went to Hicksville for a pickup and met Sean. I must state he is beyond courteous, helpful, fast, efficient and attentive. He returns phone calls and truly goes above and beyond. Gem Pawnbrokers of Hicksville is the best pawn shop on Long Island. I met Lori the manager there, she is an absolute sweetheart. She makes you feel like you are family. My purchase of my new IPhone was the best experience I have ever had at any business during this virus. Go see Lori- I left feeling loved and like I new her my whole life!!

the Manager is a great guy. he gets me in and out of there quickly and efficiently. the store has a lot of cool electronics available for purchase and a fair price. i recommend coming here for a camera or laptop! they always have a good piece of equipment on deck.
