I wish I can put 10 Stars for this establishment! I would not go anywhere else or trust any other place . Each and every individual who works there is so nice, professional, understanding and awesome! I'm very grateful for all their help, I wouldn't go anywhere else so needless to say I highly recommend anyone who is considering selling or pawning their stuff to go here, they pay the highest amount your stuff is beyond safe 🙂💯💜

I’ve always been satisfied with the service at gem pawn brokers. Gregory has always been very professional and a good friend. I also want to thank Patricia for letting me vent about my mouth piece . I don’t want to go any further . I’ll wait till I talk to Gregery tomorrow . After speaking with the Vice President of this company I will never use them again . I will seek legal option in court . Word to musicians .. do not trust these people with your precious instruments .

Great custimer service! Catherine is awesome. She’s always in when I stop by and very helpful. Trust worthy staff and definitely on top of updating customers when they change locations or if I had any questions. Definitely would recommend everyone coming to this location.

Surprisingly pleasant experience. The people were great especially Sandra, I got more than I was hoping for for my tablet and I was able to pawn it for a good price rather than having to sell it. And the location was impeccably clean and with great air conditioning. Overall it was far better than anything I could have anticipated.

GEM PAWN WASHINGTON HEIGHTS!!! This review is for 09/29/2021. I am a an old school client going on about 7 years!!! I have no idea WHAT IN THE HELL HAPPENED?! WHAT HAPPENED IN 2021 and early 2020? WHAT HAPPENED?! Gem pawn has to be STUPID to be hiring people that lack tremendously in CUSTOMER SERVICE especially RECURRING CLIENTS like myself whom has spent much money doing business with your company. JUST THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Where in the world did you find TROLLS TO RUN YOUR COMPANY and interact with clients and return business CLIENTS!!! THANK GOD Geraldo aka KING TUT & Francisco "KING TUN" are back. TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! These two definitely work, listen, and accommodate recurring clients to the best of their abilities. STOP HIRING TROLLS!!!! These two gentlemen need to get a raise and be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy by the company. They define customer service!!! I give them a 15/10 STARS!!!! GemPawn I know you have to pay rent but don't go too high on the interests whereby the interest and loan amount come out to the same amount as buying that pawned item brand new in the store. You'll be stuck with a lot of merchandise. Keep it even keel if possible!!!! As I've noted through the years; GEM PAWN Washington Heights has always rotated their staff every 6-8 months so speak. I've gotten to know most of the staff both past and present by name and the likewise them with me which always was a great feeling. And created a particular Provider and Client relationship. It's a great place to get some help on a loan and sell your items also they do have layaway plans on a great price. Customers service is nice you have any questions and issues they can help you when you need it as well I met some good friends there. you should come on down an check out Gems on Broadway. The service is wonderful in this establishment. The Sales Lending Professional, Katherine Mota, is an exceptional person. She always makes sure that the customer is well taken care of and she goes beyond her means to make sure that you leave their business with a smile and money.

I have absolutely no complaints about this place. If you have legitimate stuff they have legitimate offers. Usually takes me 10-15 to get the cash I need. Try them.

I’ve also built a relationship with the workers Katherine and Gisellle they are so sweet and work hard to help you as much as possible. I would give them over 5 stars if possible. I have used GEM a number of times over the past three years when money was tight. They are professional and courteous which helped to ease any anxiousness I had entrusting my valuables to them. They really appreciate and try to get to know their repeat customers. Katherine at the Washington Heights location in particular has gone above and beyond to help me out; she’s a sweetheart who has empathy for customers and the difficult circumstances that lead them to her store. As far as I’m concerned she is the GEM for which the store is named!

First and foremost I want to apologize to Katherine for not gettting this done sooner. She has always gone to the limit in helping me when I have to go and pawn my belongings. Which is not easy but she always has her ‘friendly & Understanding’ 👀!! Which is so relaxing when you get there and there are people there.. it’s been difficult times and I am glad that if I am in need for cash I have a place to go with no one to judge and look down on my actions. So again THANK YOU Katherine for being such a great person in a difficult job
