Trying to get a car loan, spoke to Armando over the phone and assured my husband and I that everything has gone through. After waiting almost a week, we had to go to branch office because he wouldn't answer calls. He then tells us that there were issues with loan. A one star is been generous.

OMG, the mgmt is RIDICULOUS! I lost my ATM card and needed one ASAP. They told me I have to wait seven days, or if I wanted same day, I had to pay a fee of 35.00. On top of that, my license had just expired TWO DAYS before, so they refused to help me until I get it renewed. I was there for about 45 mins with NO RESULTS! I then drove to a different GECU, told them my situation and NO QUESTIONS asked. I was handed a new ATM card FOR FREE right then and there. And the teller was nice enough to help me, that when he gave me my license back, he said, "Be sure to get our license renewed, it expired TWO days ago" So he noticed and was still kind enough to help me. The staff is ALWAYS nice, but mgmt...not so much.

Super grateful I am cancelling with them. Worst bank ever in terms of never updating bank account to reflect charges. I had over a 730 credit score and they kept denying me for my auto refinance and a credit card. My friend said it was due to me being under 20 years old. Went to TFCU and received a 1.95% interest for 48months. Thank you GECU for the declination!

Worst customer service by business credit analyst Jon Poer. The Texas SOS made a mistake and has not been able to upload the documents I filed online, so he has refused to open the requested commercial account EVENTHOUGH I have, in my possession, the filed original document that was returned to me by the SOS AND he could also order the document to be sent directly to him via email. Having to wait for the SOS to make the document available online is absolutely absurd, because there is other ways to obtain that document.

Worst bank in El Paso! I would stay away from this bank, especially if you are a military member or a veteran because they are not military friendly at all and could careless about your military service....They take forever to do anything. I waited over 30 minutes to speak to a mortgage representative and I was the only person in the waiting room. A male loan officer spent 20 mins to chitchat with a client, the other female loan officer was too busy making personal non-work related calls, and the other 3 employees just sat their and twiddled their thumbs. It took them 3 days for them to process a VA home loan pre-approval request and that's with the customer having to bug them. They don't reply to texts and they don't return phones. Ironically, the only text that I received from them was that they were "trying to get a hold of me", even though I didn't received a single email or phone call from them. They are useless and clueless and honestly, it was a complete waste of time.

Your rates aren't good like other credit unions. You are offering 90 days no payments as your special. Really? So technically your just skipping one payment since the other credit unions are 45 days but then your charging more interest in the first 90 days anyway because it charges you daily on the balance. Do you pay more plus higher rates for the whole car loan. Uhhh I'll pass thank you!

Gecu has co continuously reported an account on my credit that isn't mine. I have disputed it so many times and they refuse to fix it. Time to tell others in person and online and preparing to sue them now.

Best credit union ever! I’ve been a member for 30 years and counting!! They always treat us well! Today we received counseling to help us purchase our first home for free!! And they even told about all their other free services like free income tax preparation and financial education. We signed up for their seminars!! Thank you for everything you do for us and our family!! We love you a GECU!!

I went in today on 6/25/19 2:45 pm to handle an issue with a cashiers check. Beca and April were there to assist me with any questions or concerns I had. Turns out if you want a cashiers check made out to a long name you need go to this branch. They will also do it the old fashion way and type out any information. While Beca was attending to the issue I had April (brunette with nice hair and beautiful eyes) assist me during her absence. My issue was well taken care of and I'm very glad I had a great experience at this branch.
