At first the representative was encouraging that the loan process would be smooth. Three weeks after filling out the loan application I had to call them to ask what the statis was. The representative asked me resend information because "he gets a lot of emails" and couldn't find the original. This occurred several times. The impression I have is they are disorganized and inefficient, even unproductive. They have wasted a great amount of my time. Don't waste your valuable time with Gateway Mortgage's dysfunctional process.

I tried all last week to get a hold of a loan officer to ask a simple question. I was told by the receptionist that she would forward the message to Katie the loan officer. I never received a call back. I also tried reaching Christi, no luck. I tried reaching Katie by email & text and no response. I tried once more a few days later and the receptionist said they were in a middle of a office re-location. My opinion is you might as well shut down the business completely while you organize your re-location rather than blowing off customers that spend a lottttttt of money with Gateway. Next home i purchase i will NOT be financing with Gateway.

Many thanks to gateway.All that I can say is they were amazing team working for my family. I really appreciate the good deal and the very nice way to make everything done. Yes I recommend this team for all those that need buy a house.They are located in Midland,TX.

Terrible bank. DO NOT USE THIS MORTGAGE LENDER. Reasons why, I have yet to receive a Monthly statement and I’ve had my account for a year, I called the customer service phone line and an automated system answers saying, “we can’t answer your call at the moment because all of our employees are in a meeting”, clearly the customer does not come first for this LENDER.

There’s nothing more frustrating than to have to terminate a contract because of lack of communication from a loan officer. Emails, calls and texts were all sent to Katie Gully and not answered. We’re not talking about not answered immediately we’re talking not answered at all. Not only were they sent by myself but by my husband and our realtor as well. She was recommended to us by a sponsor of a DPA program. Would not recommend to anyone.

My husband and I are new to the area and a coworker gave us Katie’s contact information. We were qualified and shopping for our new home within 2 days and were closed and in the house within less than a month. I highly recommend Katie and her team.

Amazing team, Katie got our property financed and closed just in the nick of time. Relocating is tricky but this staff knows how to get to the finish line. Totally recommend and will call for our future transactions.

If this is your first time getting a home, I do not recommend Gateway. They were not helpful, if anything they were the opposite of that. You can find a better place to work with!

Do not reccomend gateway for the fact they do not know how to communicate. Im a first time homebuyer and after applying i had to call them to find out what was happening
