The loan process was literally flawless with this company. From start to finish I received updates on everything from providing me real time interest rates so I could lock in the best rate, to updates on all my documents as they went through the underwriting process. I knew where I was in the process every step of the way! Ms. Elaine Hightower and the Gateway staff were absolutely the BEST! I will always come back to them for future business!

The service was not what we expected. I had to call the loan officer several times to get updates and she was very slow in responding. Even though the way we wanted to structure the loan was not accepted by the bank, no one had the good sense to call us and let us know. We were only sent an email that we were declined. No one offered an alternative just good bye and take care. Save yourself the headache and time and find another mortgage team that actually wants to work for you.

They keep calling! I have been a Gateway customer for over two years and they keep making excuses to call me and check up. I have had to delete my phone number! As well, they raised my escrow indiscriminately and now it is over funding. I am very sorry I went with them and may have to refinance to get away from them. UPDATE: They feel it necessary to mail me over and over...a birth announcement of the local manager...a recipe postcard...I am really searching my soul on why I should care....

Horrible experience! We lost our 1031 exchange because of their unprofessionalism! We now need to pay $15K+ in taxes because they made so many mistakes!

I've have a great experience with Gateway for the past 5 years until now...they withdrew my taxes in escrow but did not pay them on 12/31/2020 thus costing me over $1000 in taxes that I will have to pay. A glitch or blame someone else, the bottom line is they knew they were collecting in escrow and no red flag was drawn when they did not pay mine. I just caught it and notified them. They said they would pay immediately but it doesn't help me! They need to rethink processes and procedures!!

The agent that we worked with was very unorganized and did not save any of our information for when we had a scheduled meeting to draw paperwork for our contract. She had notebooks everywhere with things wrote in it and was unable to even find her notes on our specific loan we had already been approved for. She had to look up every single answer to every question or concern we had in reguards to our loan process and timeline. We ended up leaving and using a different company.

Brett Baldwin and Team are awesome. They coached us through how to beat get approved against many challenges including us recently opening our business. They are so thorough and the video system really helps through the whole process. We own three homes and have never had a process like this go so smoothly. Thanks Brett and Team.
