Karen Hattier is the most welcoming, caring and kind person. We are new to the area (from Bellingham, WA) and were struggling to find a new house. Karen went out of her way to help us find the perfect home. She is quick to follow up and made the process extremely easy. Perhaps more importantly, she welcomed us to the area and gave us great information about local restaurants and community events. We look forward to working with Karen again in the future!

*DO NOT USE THEM WITHOUT READING* My husband and I went through this company when renting a home in Lacombe. Gayle F was representing our landlord Christina Carter. We thought we were going to love our home. The problems first started on day one. We picked up the keys around 5:30pm on a Friday that we had obviously already paid for. When we arrived at the house the landlord still had an abundance of items in the house. We had originally planned to start moving small boxes that night but instead had to wait for the landlord to remove them before we could even get in there to start cleaning around 9pm. We didn’t finish until 2 in the morning on Saturday. We tried to be understanding and let this go despite the fact that she even yet still left us cabinets full of junk that she chalked up to some donation to us. We shortly after started noticing a ton of chapter 13 notices flooding the mailbox at the home which made us nervous. Followed by an issue with seeing termites in the off season and then the obvious swarms in the house (about 50 in every room of the house every night, in our bed, bathroom, etc) we requested the landlord send someone out to which she argued would cost money and fought us until I told her I wouldn’t pay rent. She got very ugly with us about it. A couple days later I get an electricity bill for $500. The landlord on video recording called us incompetent and blamed us for the issue. She sent out a “tech” that simply waved his arm in the air and told us the air was cool so it must be working. A Cleco Tech came out 2 days later and tested the breaker panel and found the problem and when he tried notifying the landlord of his finding she ignored mine and his call. She never had it fixed. She then told us if we didn’t want to live there we had 30 days to vacate the property and she would return our $1,200 security deposit after a walk through. We moved out and had to eat the money we already paid in rent for may so that we could shut off utilities that were averaging $300 every two weeks due to the faulty system. When my husband showed up to do a walk through he was met by the landlord, her boyfriend, and 2 bigger women in a very aggressive manner. The end result was again on video recording of her saying nothing more other than she lied she wasn’t going to give us our deposit or do a walk through then she proceeded to shove and slap our family friend that acoompanied my husband. I cannot make this up, I have it all on video. She said her and Gayle were family friends and even name dropped Gayle saying she consulted her for advice and that was her justification for the way she treated us. Gayle is once again representing her. The for rent sign and key box was on our house while we still tech owned it. Beware, I’m telling you if whoever you’re renting from went through this company, don’t use them. They are NOT credible and they do NOT do good checks on the people they represent. We lost over $2,000 and drained our savings because of this. Don’t make my mistake, stick with a more reputable company.
