Friends & Family Credit Union Erie St, Massillon

I have been dealing with Friends and Family Credit Union for about 10 years now, if not more. I have received excellent customer service and superior rates. Tim, the manager has always been so helpful and always makes us feel like we are family. I think it's unfair to judge any business during covid as we all know everyone has experienced staffing issues. Thank you again F & F for your great service. :-)

I don’t know what’s going on here lately but with the lobby being closed a lot the drive-through times are absolutely ridiculous. I don’t understand what the problem. The customer service used to be so amazing. In the last few months it’s gone downhill fast. I don’t even recognize anyone that works here anymore!

I’ve been with Friends and Family for many years. Not to sound quaint, but I get treated as though I am indeed family. A few times I’ve inadvertently messed my online account up causing me to seek help from a teller. Always I am treated with respect and in a comfortable manner. They’ve never faulted me for goofing up my account, they just explain how we together can fix it and they do it like their having fun and their glad to hear from me. Just good folks. I might add that I deal exclusively the credit union that’s on route 21.PS. Hi Sue!

Called 9 times, over a week and didn't receive calls back. I went in had arguments with the teller who shut her drawer and walked away refusing to wait on me. Spoke with Manager and Loan Manager who apologized and gave me incorrect information, called me a liar in other words and when I left I was determined that I would take my loan elsewhere.... Nope, not going to give them the satisfaction they chased me away. I'll make my payments.... on time and when it is time, I'll move, but they aren't going to force me to go crazy trying to find a loan elsewhere.

Don't go to the one in Canton on Whipple! I always grocery shop at the Acme occasionally will use the ATM, I've seen countless people have their cards snatched finally it happened to me! I assumed since this was a recurring problem the machine would be fixed but no, I kindly asked the tellers for customer service number or corporate number and they casually shrugged me off! Being a weekend I had to cancel my card and order a new one. I came back into the store to confirm with the tellers there was no way to retrieve my card and they still sat unbothered. So must for customer service skills.

Terrible customer service, their system is ancient and you can't pay your bill online (supposedly working on getting a newer system, don't think I'd trust that either) the employees don't have access/ability to online things as they should, sat on the phone for a half hour just for them to not be able to help still...recommend going with CSE if you're debating. In my opinion.. it's worth paying a higher interest rate not to deal with the hassle of this place. Not impressed.

DO NOT BANK HERE!! Numerous problems during my apx. 10 year time with them.The finale straw was when I was refinancing my primary mortgage and found out they never closed my old equity line that I paid off a year prior and told them to close out. Luckily the pay off papers that I had to demand and fight to get at that time saved my current refi as that was my only proof I paid them off and had it closed. Tim Mauer never returned any calls to help fix this. Finally my new bank called them and fixed everything for me and everything worked out NO THANKS TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND TIM MAUER, Glad to be done with you!!!!!! You guys deserve a negative rating but Ihad to give 1 star to post this.

I've been a member here for over 10 years. I've had several bad experiences with the downtown tellers; I've complained about my experience and found no assistance with getting these issues resolved. The ATM card has be closed on multi occasions due to issues with security; this is a bit frustrating when all you have is that card to pay with while you are in vacation or trying to buy food at a restaurant and aren't told that your card was cancelled due to a security issue. This has happened several times, which I found out upon trying to pay my bill with no cash or credit card with me as back up, but you don't really think you should need a back up knowing you have adequate funds in your account. It's quit embarrassing. I've found they don't notify you by phone about checks they are holding; they send a letter which takes days to get. Overall they have poor customer service. I do like the low interest rates on the car loans. That's the main reason I stay. I've wanted to take my business elsewhere for years, when my car is paid for I believe I will keep one account open and find another bank.

Name is very misleading. They are neither friendly nor like family. Occasionally I get lucky, but normally when I go to pay my credit card or mortgage they act like they can't wait to get me out of there. I have never been ugly with them. I've actually tried several times to be friendly with them, but it goes nowhere. They just remain blunt. They're friendly with some customers, but for some reason I don't qualify. They stopped sending me paper statements with no notice. My account online comes up error, and they won't fix it. I am paying off the credit card today, and as soon as I can get the mortgage paid off I am closing my account and will never deal with them again.

I have used the atm at the location on Erie multiple times , I use it because of the location and safety in place at this branch , today I proceeded to use the atm at 10am , I withdrew a pretty decent amount of money, 400 plus dollars, one of the bills was torn , and the other half wasn't anywhere stuck between the others , I kept my transaction recept like I always do , I proceeded to go to the teller and state my concern , they said how do we know you don't have the other half , what was I going to do keep half a 20 ? And hang it on my wall ? The disrespect tone and way I was treated prompted this review , I will definitely be escalating this issue past this branch , the branch manager was even more disrespectful than the teller herself , if I could I wouldn't even give them one star.
