I found an injured rabbit in my yard and Wayne Animal Control came out immediately and took him to Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital. When I called to enquire about the Rabbit, Donna took the to time to explain the treatment the rabbit was receiving and his progress, which was very comforting to know how well this poor animal was being cared for. What an amazing place and amazing staff with exceptional service they provide. 5 stars are not enough for this hospital.

I've been going here for more than 6 years now. In all that time, I've had nothing but fantastic experiences with Dr. Kozak and the rest of the staff there. Everyone is friendly and accommodating. They're also professional and extremely knowledgeable. I've been through about 5 other vets in the area, some good and some bad. None are as consistently excellent as Franklin Lakes. Instead of being rushed out the door, Dr. Kozak takes her time and listens to you. She is always happy to answer questions and discuss different options. She's also fantastic with my extremely nervous dog. I can't recommend Franklin Lakes highly enough.

Cannot say enough good things about FLAH. We have been taking our dog there for years and have always had an amazing experience with each of different vets we have seen. Our boy unfortunately passed, and FLAH made this heartbreaking experience as perfect as it could possibly be. We arrived and were able to go right in to a separate room, different from the normal examination rooms. Dr. Onesios and Gianna softly explained the procedure to us (2 shots), and explained that each of us were free to decide if we wanted to stay for none of it, some of it, or all of it (we stayed for all of it and would do the same again). Any questions we had on our minds throughout the process were informatively answered, and delivered with the utmost compassion. They were spot on in giving us space to grieve while also being comforting and expressing their sympathies. The worst day in every pet owners life was made that much more bearable and peaceful by the amazing care we received at FLAH.

They are the best in my professional opinion. I get reminders and phone calls regarding follow up care. Finally I have found a place that's Cares. And now my 11 year old lab is walking again without surgery. And my 6 month old could not be happier. Thank you!!! Picture is sleep time for my 2 Angels.

Outstanding emergency care! I used Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital for over 15 years and was always happy with the vets and office staff. I moved away 3 years ago and developed a greater appreciation as I tried one new vet after another. Today my elderly dog had a medical emergency. Even though she was no longer their patient, Dr. Pomerantz stayed late on a Saturday afternoon to see her. When we pulled up a technician rushed outside and offered a gurney or any other help we needed. Dr. Pomerantz clearly and compassionately explained her diagnosis. No expensive tests or overnight stay. My dog is back home curled up with her buddies and all is right in our world.

Thanks to Dr. Stolze and the kind supportive staff. I have been going here for 2 years and highly recommend Franklin lakes. My cat Smudgiel recently passed in peace here surrouded by her family of incredible people. I have been visiting Dr Stolze and the incredible staff with my other cats and have always found our visits to be thorough and accurate. We are always met by caring staff with a kind and concerned manner. Always polite. I appreciate the follow up . Thank you to Dr. Stolze and the fine staff. We love you 😻🐾

We have been with Franklin Lakes for well over 20 years now. We had our first dealings with the late Dr. Cheryl Welch who’s passion and care for her patients and their families carries forward today in the amazingly talented and very professional team at FLAH. We have had our share of pets and never once can we ever say that the level of care was less than outstanding. To us FLAH are family caring for our most precious friends. I have always appreciated and regarded their candidness, their partnership with us all throughout the lives of our dogs and cats over the years albeit in their early years to through their end-of-life days. I have dealt with many of the doctors there including Dr. Kozak, Dr. Greenhut, Dr. Pomerantz, & Dr. Hudson. In addition they are supported by an amazing support team and techs. Nothing is more precious than our pets, their unconditional love, curiosity, and friendship. Every time we’d go to FLAH, you know they are treating our pets as if they were their own and always providing that calm and support needed to pets and us as well. As much as these heroes are in their diligence and thoroughness of their care, we cannot thwart nature unfortunately. Recently our 11 year old 4 legged daughter was very ill and passed. Even as emotional as I am now writing this, let me share with you that in the few times now we have had to go through this, our FLAH family was amazing in the comfort they gave to our girl, myself, my daughter and our family during and after. That compassion, that love always stays with me for which I am always in their debt. These are amazing hero’s at FLAH. No matter how emotional the situation may be, let’s always remember to respect what they do. They’re your partners in the care of your beloved pets. Treat them with the kindness and respect they deserve. - Adam G.

My pets have been a patient at FLAH with my first dog Lexi in 2002. I’ve moved down the shore now and for a while still drove up north for my animals. You know I’ve still never found a vet like Dr. P and Dr. Kozack. I really love this place. It really is the best and they are very accommodating. I see vets down the shore now but hands down FLAH is truly the best! If I had a real emergency with my pets I’d make the drive to FLAH.

Came here only to put my almost-22 year old cat to sleep - and the rush was on... First time here - and don't think I didn't notice you were rushing me out at such an important moment, Doctor? You really wanted to get out at 4pm on that Saturday - hot date? The soft baby-talk was not comforting but quite insulting. And your cold assistant got me quite awestruck at being asked to pay for the bill before actually doing your services!!! - like I'd be running for the door without paying if I didn't 'pay now', as she kept insisting... later the cashier telling me how some people are "too emotional to pay the bill later" - really? This wasn't my first rodeo (or animal hospital), but the pressure both to leave and to pay was uncalled for...ESPECIALLY during an 'emotional' time.... Never coming back - any pet (and their owner) deserves better !!!!

They are OK. My dog didn't really have any problems while he went there for his annual check ups and vaccinations. I switched to Oakland animal hospital and I think it's better than Franklin lakes animal hospital. This place definitely overcharges and I don't understand why telling me things that can be found on Google warrant as a professional consulting fee on my invoice. Plus, do I not talk to the vet at all and act all awkward when we interact if I don't wanna get charged for that?

I had scheduled a new puppy visit @ 2:30pm . I traveled about 40 mins just to get here. I got held up in traffic and walked in the door at 2:44pm. Took about a minute for the front desk to ask for my Pets name to greet. The lady at the front desk was very loud and said said “wow you’re late” we have a 15 mins window. No hello no anything!!!I said well it’s 15 minutes now. She said but you haven’t filled out ppwk. I told her the paper work was already filled out and emailed. I could tell by her tone that she did not want my 3 month old puppy to be seen. She told me she was going to ask the doc to see if the puppy could be seen. Comes back 30 seconds later and told me they could not see him. I tried explaining that he needed a visit within the week and she cut me off without hearing what I had to say. She stood on her computer typing and telling me she could not find any availability at all. I am so disappointed because first we were not properly greeted and welcomed. It’s a shame because I was recommended to this animal hospital by a long time client of theirs and she said they were amazing! It’s too bad the front desk receptionist who is the first face you see treated me and my puppy like we did not matter. I told her we didn’t need an appointment because we were not coming back! It felt like she was racist and because I did not look like her or any of the clients in there she treated me like garbage. I had request to see Dr. Onesios as the primary and Dr. Kozak as secondary. My appt was scheduled with Dr. Kodak. The person who has referred me are friends with both doctors. Shame on the lady at the front desk! Looks like she needs etiquette training as well as diversity and & inclusion training. SHAME on her!!

We were so fortunate to find this place and bring in a baby squirrel that fell from a tree and injured its nose. Poor little baby was so fragile and frightened when we found him. It was probably the 5th place I called, and it started to get frustrating as no one could help us for their own reasons. But Thank God, someone recommended us to try Franklin Lakes. Donna was on the phone and assured me that they would take good care of the baby. So, we drove here and couldn't have been more relived after meeting amazing Donna and amazing girls who work with her! They genuinely love animals and do their best to take good care of them! Now, we are confident that our little buddy will have a good life in the wild after he gets his medical treatment and goes through rehabilitation. Grateful beyond words for the compassion of Franklin Lakes animal hospital team!!!

I had an injured bird on my front lawn. I called animal control and they referred me to Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital. The receptionist was very rude and wouldn't connect me to the person who was caring for wildlife. For three days I kept getting an attitude and the run around. I called animal control back and they picked the bird up to drop it off themselves. I called back to see if I could speak to the person and check up on the bird. All I got was another attitude and another excuse of how they were busy. Seems like all they care about is money and not actually helping animals.

All the staff was very friendly. Dr. Onesios was so nice and took the time to thoroughly understand my concerns and provide a solution so my cat would be relieved from her itchy skin. She also gave me great relief in saying that they would figure out what is causing the itching. I really get a sense that she wants to help her. I am definitely making this place my primary vet for my cat from now on.

I’m sad to have to say this but we had the worst possible experience at Franklin Lakes Animal Hospital. We have gone there for 10 years. We buy all our cat food from them, hundreds of dollars a year just in food. Our cat was there in 2019 and had a check up. My son called to order more cat food today and was literally threatened that if we don’t bring the cat in we can never purchase food again. They said we can never buy more food if we don’t book an appoint for a $185 fee just to walk in the door. He was seen in 2019 and had several tests done. We just spent $1200.00 dollars at the 24 hour Vetenary in Hackensack to have our cat completely checked out 8 weeks ago. They had no interest in seeing that paperwork. My son was so upset. When I can home I had to call. I was treated the same. We love our cat. He has never been outside and is very healthy and happy. Franklin lakes Animal Hospital only wants the money. I truly believe at this point it’s all they care about. This whole experience makes me feel sick and very sad about their true motives.
