Excellent, professional, responsive, and most importantly PERSONABLE!! These words don't do it's justice for how wonderful of an experience we had with Flat Branch Home Loans. I worked directly with Kendell Kite and Dennis Tate. They took the time to ensure that we were informed, kept us up-to-date on every step of the process, and were SUPER responsive. All of these things were super important to us, especially as first time home buyers. Its fair to say all of the horror stories I have heard about the home buying process were absolutely not true for us! Dennis Tate and his team truly made all of our worries disappear and got us into the starter home of our dreams! I've financed mortgages twice over the past several years with Dennis Tate and his team at Flat Branch Mortgage. The experiences both times have been first rate. Dennis and his entire crew have been prompt to respond to my questions, and were always kind and courteous along the way. The frequent updates on the status of where things stood was also unique to my prior home financing with other companies. When we first started with our home buying process late last year in 2019 we were introduced to Amy Hess. She was amazing, helpful and always responded to calls and or emails. That process got delayed to this year 2020 and when we contacted Amy again, she was out on maternity leave so we were put In touch with Jessica Patterson and the experience wasn’t great at all. Mortgage companies went up on their score due to covid so there were things we needed to do but unlike Amy who would explain everything Jessica did not. It’s just like sending us up a creek with no paddle. I understand she had double the case load but I just felt like because we had a little more going on and needed some extra time, she was just willing to throw us away and not help us at all. Jessica sent one email that basically stated, “We can’t help you.” But I took it as, we can help you I just don’t feel like it. Our spirits were down moral was low but I’m please to say that we closed on our home last Thursday July 16, 2020 with another company. Certain things aren’t meant but people really need to watch how they treat people and or make them feel......................... August 4, 2020 I want to Thank Management at Flat Branch, Gina especially for reaching out to me to and hearing me out about the issues we had while trying to obtain a home loan. She was very pleasant, professional and easy to talk to. I was very comfortable and even expressed to her some other important and personal details as to why this home loan meant so much to my family and she was very apologetic for us not receiving the loan from Flat Branch but was happy for us that we did receive a loan and expressed that she is still there for us if we ever need her services in the future. It means a lot that she reached out and acknowledge our feelings and even sent a gift. This review comes a little late from helping us last year. Team Jessica Patterson is the best! They made sure we knew every step of the way everything that was happening. On the night before our closing Jessica called us and personally went over our closing paperwork with us so we knew what we were signing! The care she puts into her work is unparalleled! This review is based on my experience with Justin Stevenson (Collection Rep 1) I had multiple issues with my account of which I was proactive in trying to get resolved. (Fault being the blame of Flat Branch updated payment system.) I’ve NEVER been late on a payment and actually called them when I noticed the money did not come out my account. He was extremely unprofessional, not responsive, and lacked empathy. In addition, after multiple calls and frustration, he tried to transfer me to a different department rather than bridging/resolving the issue.

Flat Branch is fantastic! Dennis is very knowledgeable, friendly and he and his team truly care about their clients. His team is awesome, timely and great to work with. Flat Branch, and especially Dennis Tate, made the process easy, kept me informed and sent out status updates throughout the process.
