Roseann Shannon has refinanced my home several times. I have always been impressed with her professionalism, speed and communication. Refinancing is not always an easy process. She has been very knowledgeable with documents that need to be sent in and very timely in answering questions. I have been very pleased with 5 Star Mortgage and would highly recommend them for your home financing.

I have worked with Roseann and the amazing team at Five Star Mortgage twice now. The first time was for the purchase of my first home and the second time they helped my mom with her refinance. I 100% will continue to recommend them to everyone I know. They are thorough, straight forward and always available to clarify anything you don't understand.

**Edit** to reply to comment: No, I was not expecting the same rate I was prequalified for back in Feb. I’m not that naive to believe I will be sitting at that rate without buying points or to believe the world will wait at that rate while I shop. What I was referring to is not a misunderstanding on my end. Please speak with Chris if the situation is unclear as to why I am upset/disappointed. Happy to keep going if I am still painted to have given an unfair review. But I agree with the other non 5 star reviews. Please do your research and don’t make the same mistake as I did. My rate never got locked when it was supposed to and it kept going up. If I had the knowledge, I would have said something, but if my loan officer truly cared, he wouldn’t have gambled with my money like that. Seems like a hit or miss with Chris, but if you choose to work with them, hope you have better luck than me. Everything seemed so smooth and promising at first.

We used Chris at 5 star for the purchase of our home. He was phenomenal and helped keep everything going, as we had a lot of issues with the sellers. Needless to say, he gained our trust. Since then, him and this company have been so horrible I will never use them again. For starters, he called us to do a streamline refinance on our home.(this process took about 3 months and me calling every week for almost 2 months, as he never updated me. Not until I finally told his assistant that we would be using someone else if we didn’t hear back) I specifically asked him about our mortgage insurance and if it would drop off still in a year or so. He told me when the time came he would take care of it and we would save so much money if we did this now. I learned after it was too late that “taking care of it” means he will refinance our home AGAIN. Costing us thousands of dollars in closing costs between the two refinances, and paying him a lump sum, when we should’ve just waited another year and done it once. Sure, we saved $100/month for 12 months, but it will cost us at least $12k now that we have to do it twice. DONT DO THIS IF YOU HAVE AN FHA LOAN NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU. The kicker is before we knew any better, we wanted to use him to refinance a family members home which was already paid off. It was a simple and easy loan. Him and his assistant Oz kept telling me they were so busy and would get back to me when they can. I tried calling them for weeks, asking for and waiting for an email that they said they sent but never did. It’s been 4 months and we have now closed with someone else. They are crooks, save your money and time and go somewhere else.

Called and asked to be removed from their spam mailing list. I receive multiple letters all the time from this lender. I have no desire to do business with them. Constantly getting bombarded with unsolicited letters from Christopher Colella is annoying. The front desk clerk is rude and argumentative and talks over you and then argues with you when you ask a question to basically question why I am asking my question. Roseann said she would remove me from the list, but guess what....received another spam letter days later. Formally made a complaint against their business license and NMLS.

I'm a first time home buyer and was recommended to Roseann. I cannot say more positive things throughout this entire experience. She responded in a timely manner, answered every question I had, and made this entire process go so smoothly. One of the best parts is they got me an AMAZING interest rate. I would absolutely use Roseann and 5 Star Mortgage again. I felt like was really out to help me in the best way. I recommend her and 5 star mortgage to anyone that is looking to buy, refinance, and whatever else they offer. Real deal!!

I would like to personally thank Roseanne and her team for a wonderful and professional job. She is incredible, very hard working, honest and direct. Roseanne kept me informed with phone calls, email and text messages. Some of those were late at night, weekends and on holidays. She is a pleasure to work with and made the entire process easy. Julian was on top of everything that we needed and got us through a super quick escrow! Needed someone to hold our hands through this process for our first home and Julian did exactly that and more. Very responsive at all times day or night and super friendly. Would recommend Five Star Mortgage and Julian to anybody!

I gave them a 4 start so you'd read before you'd use them........I should have read the reviews before allowing The Roland Team to bring 5 Star to the table as a mortgage company....Tiffany Hietbrink hit the nail on the head in her review with these people.......needless to say I would NEVER recommend Chris or his team to anyone unless you want to be raked over the coals and ignored until they are ready to get paid.....others have had a different experience and I am happy for them it was not the case with my attempted home purchase. By raked over the coals I mean paying the highest rate possible as calls and texts where ignored by Chris and his "Trust me" on getting us the best rate is a complete lie and fabrication.

Five Star Mortgage is a great company the entire team was great. They kept us inform everystep of the way and answered all the questions we had.
