Did an equity refinance with First United and was told I would not have to pay the January mortgage if the funds cleared by the 31st. I received an email on the morning of the 31st announcing my loan was funded and I received my equity funds in my bank. I was notified today February 10th that the loan was not funded till the 4th and I would receive a late mark on my credit. I would not advise anyone do business with this company.

First United is the best lender I have ever worked with. We used this bank when we bought our first home and we had only great experience. Lena Perlman, our direct contact was super helpful from the very beginning. We were first time home buyer at that time, plus we have not grew up in the US, so we had zero knowledge about the home purchase process in this country. Lena explained every part of the process, and even beyond the lending part. She knew everything our realtor did not know, she was so on the top of everything, directing us in the best possible way, without any stress and more importantly she did it all with great confidence. There was not a question that she could not answer. She provided responses to us within seconds. She was available to us 24/7, at 5am and at 11pm. I don't know how she does this, but we were not the only customers of hers that were amazed with her work and experience! Lena is just amazing, powerful, knowledgeable in wide areas of lending, financing, accounting, financial reporting and beyond that! Our second closing with this bank was related to refi due to a divorce. Of course, Lena knew everything we needed to know about this process. She was able to direct us all the way from beginning to the very end. She knows how to deal with the most organized clients that love fast responses and need to control everything every minute; but she is also extremely great with those client who don't have it all together and don't know how to upload bank statement. She is super helpful and she very patient! The third closing was another home purchase. This closing was the hardest and very challenging! But, Lena Perlman made is happen! She has done impossible and was able to close in less than 30 days. Both, my realtor and seller agent were impressed with Lena's work and experience. She communicated with both agents and did it in the best possible way with the best interest to me, her client. I am truly thankful to everyone who works at First United and who was helping me during all 3 closings.
